Another idea....plus my SU Swap cards....

Happy Monday everyone!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend???Mine are always way tooooo short - LOL!!! The Ledlow girls went to the *beautician* and got our hair done...., did some cleaning, went to church, lunch and boom it's Monday...!!!

I think I'm gonna take it easy this week since my girls are on *Spring Break*!!! But who knows - I might do some more stampin' if my girls are not demanding my 24/7 entertainment...LOL!!!

Anyway - I want to share some more ideas with you....I really liked how my *Hair Clips* turned out the other day...and so did my little Miriam. Click here to view the project if you missed it!!!

BTW - thank you for all the sweet comments you all left me on Mimi's photo :) I love that little bugger so much - he,he,he!!! I really enjoy the time we get to spent together...I was lucky enough to stay home with all of my girls and give them all lots of one on one time!!!

Just in case you have two left hands like me when it comes to crocheting....here is another cute way to make some different *Hair Clips* using some of your SU stash of flowers....I basically did the same steps on these clips as the ones in my tutorial. The only thing different are the flowers from the *Flower Fusion Accents & Elements I and II* and I mixed and matched them around with different brads inside. I really like how the new *Corduroy Brads* look with the felt flowers :)

I hope you like these clips too??? ~TFL~

Next, I'm showing you my *Swap Cards* I made for the GSG Group last month using a new Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

I used the new *Soft Summer* Set . Of course the rest had to be all SU items as well....the colors are - Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. The Ribbon is from the SAB Ribbon Bundle - Certainly Celery Poly-Twill. I also used the Eyelet Border Punch.

I think this is my favorite Set out of the new Occasions Catalog....I know I'll be using it a lot....click here to view other card I made with this awesome Set!!!

Thank you for stopping by!!! See you tomorrow for the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge....guess who is challenging you :)???

Miriam wearing her new Fleurette Barrette!!!

Hey you all - as promised I took a picture of Miriam this morning as we were leaving for Savannah. She was delighted to pose for me - LOL!!!

Isn't she too cute....he,he,he??? She is a girl with lots of personality :)!!!

I'm so glad to see that you like this little project......

I also wanted to mention that I found these Silver Barrettes at Michael's in the Ribbon section!!! I stopped there this morning to get some more :)!!!

Thanks for stopping by again!!! Hugs ~Silke~

Tutorial - Here is something you can create for little girls.....

Here is an idea I absolutely love from this current SU Catalog (Sping/Summer 2009). What am I talking about....well take a peek at page #65.

Our little Miriam loves *Hair-Clips* and when I saw the little Snap Barrettes at the Craft Store I thought of the project I have seen in the Catalog and I knew they would turn out great!!!

Here is what you will need to create the little *Hair-Clips*:

For my little project I used both the SU Fleurettes plus my sweet friend Sabrina Jackson was so nice to sent me some of her fabulous handmade crochet flowers!!! Thank you Sabrina - I love them!!!

These are the SU Fleurettes - there are 12 flowers in a package:These are the handmade flowers from my friend Sabrina: You layer the flowers as you like - I added a larger and a smaller one, plus added the clear Rhinestone in the center:
Sabrina's flowers are also in different sizes - I added a purple Rhinestone in the center: Next I removed the Barettes from the package:
I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch a hole on the rounded side closer to the snap:
Once the hole was punched I placed the Rhinestone with the flower into the opening and fastened it:
If you would use buttons instead of Rhinestones you would have to sew these thru the hole!!! That's why I opted for the Rhinestones, much fast process - LOL!!! These are the two SU flowers in different combo's: These four clips were done in less than 15 minutes:
I soooo wish I could show you how it looks on our little Miriam......but it was already late when I created this project and my sweet little Miriam was sleeping...that means I have to comeback and show you all how great they look!!!

I'll be gone in the morning so look out for a photo in the later afternoon!!!

Let me know what you think of this cute little project?!? ~TFL~
