Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge plus a 2RedBananas card!!!

Hey everyone!!! How was your weekend???

Ours was fun - the girls had some friends over for *sleepovers* and we've been mainly at the pool!!! It's been so super hot here in Georgia!!! I'm ready for a rainy day!!!

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge !!! Have we got a lovely challenge for you this week!!!! It is the last Tuesday of the month, so it is time for another Guest Challenge Designer!!!

We are welcoming the super sweet and oh so talented Linda Lucas also known as *Lovely Linda * on SCS!!! Linda is hosting today's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday and she is challenging to use *CHALK* on our cards/projects!!!

I haven't used chalks in sooooo long!!! I had to hop on my computer and google some different techniques!!! This is what you can do with them......color, sponge distress, create popping pastels, chalkboard technique, or choose another , the point is to dust of that chalk container and Chalk It!!! We would love to see what you create!

Here is how I used my chalks..... First I inked my main image from the Summer on the Patio Set with Versamark. Then I took a few Q-Tips and rubbed them in different color chalks. Next I gently bounced them over my stamped image. Voila!!! Hope you like it???

Please stop by Betty, Cindy, Connie, Dee and Linda's blog to see their take on the challenge!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed Father's Day??? We sure did and I'm already in the midst of a busy Vacation Bible School week!!!

Are you ready for another fun Flourishes Timeless Tuesday??? I'm happy to tell you that today is my turn to host it - wahoooooo!!!

This time I created a Sketch for you!!! I hope you like it and come out and play along with us???

Here is my take on the Sketch....

The gorgeous floral is from the Sweet Peas Set. The sentiment is from the Many Sentiments Set.

Here is how I started - I scored my white card base first.

Next I trimmed my new Razzleberry Lemonande Designer Paper and cut an oval center with the Oval Nestie. I used the Corner Rounder on the edges.

The floral image was inked in Memento Black. I colored it with the new Copic Hollyhock Collection - RV00, RV02, RV09 and G94 from the Fields Collection - available at the Flourishes Store!!! That's right Flourishes is selling fabulous new Copic Color Collections - see them all right HERE!!!

Next I layered the floral image below the cut out oval DP and raised it with Stampin Dimensionals in between plus I added some more in the back to raise the entire panel up.

The sentiment was also inked in Memento Black and I pierced right below it. At last I dressed my card up with Angel Wings Shimmerz, some Satin Hibiscus Ribbon (PTI) tying it with a Silver Ribbon Slider and my favorite Silver Pearls :)!!!

Now I can't wait to see what you will create?!? Of course I'll come and visit each and every participant :) see you soon!!!

Don't forget to stop by the Flourishes Blog for all the info and Samples and see *who* won the giveaway from last week!!!

I made this card for today's Featured Stamper #124 - Christy. She has a fun filled gallery and you can see it right HERE. I decided to case this cupcake card of hers.

These are the quick changes I made - I used a different Stamp Set, changed Designer Paper, used the new In-Colors, changed the layout and made the card square. I also added some Shimmerz and Silver Pearls.

I used my fabulous new

I inked the bottom part of the cupcake in Rich Razzleberry and colored it with the matching Prisma Marker - PM213.

The top part was inked with Crushed Curry and then I colored it with the matching Prisma Marker - PM-21.

The little flower was also colored with Prisma Markers - PM-213 and PM-25.

OCC Challenge and IC185 Baby Card!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!

Hope you are enjoying your weekend so far??? Here in Georgia the weather is super hot we had a heat index over 100 Fahrenheit yesterday!!! It looks like it will be the same way today.....a little too hot for my taste!!!

This hot weather allowed me to stay indoors and I had a chance to get some stampin' done - wahooo - lots to tell ya and show you next week!!! I'm a little bit worn out from going to the pool.....KWIM??? And it's not healthy to stay outside with those temperatures!!!

Anyway - today is another fun OCC Challenge. Jennifer is still hosting it and she has challenged us to add *STARS* to our card/project!!!

I pulled out a retired SU Set called Dad's Day.

The BG Stamp from this Set has a lot of tiny little stars on it and I thought this would be a good Set to use since I was still in need of a Father's Day card for my FIL.

I started out with a Kraft CS base and added a layer of Bashful Blue CS. Next I pierced around the edges.

The next Kraft CS panel was inked with the BG Stamp in Fresh Snow (PTI) . I actually inked it twice and from the leftovers I punched out a star using the Large SU Star Punch. I added a Wooden Vintage Button (PTI) on top it and tied it with some matching blue Scrap Floss.

The sentiment was inked in Chocolate Chip and again I added some piercing around it. Next I layered it onto a Bashful Blue CS and a White CS.

Please swing by the OCC Blog for all the Samples from the team and to see who won last weeks prize plus so much more!!!

For close ups please visit the OCC ladies on their blogs - Cindy, Jennifer, Vicki, Frances, Loretta, Jenny and Joycelyn.

**************************************

Here is my card for the IC185 - Bugaloo. It also fits the OCC Challenge.......since it has stars on it!!!! I decide on this super cute pair of shoes....plus I ran with the overal *BOY* theme!!!

I use the super cute Precious Bundle Set that was designed by my sweet friend Jami Bova for 2RedBananas.

Can you believe I actually made a *Baby Boy* card - LOL??? I'm always drawn to make *pink* cards, but this image is just perfect for IC Challenge!!!

I started out by inking the image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic and Prisma Markers - E00, N1, YG91, B34 and PM-21.

I raised the blanket up with some Stampin Dimensionals and added some Angel Wings Shimmerz to the moon and stars.

The Bashful Blue DP is from the retired Hostess Level I Prints Pack Designer Series. I added some of the new Crushed Curry CS and dressed it up with some Blue Rhinestone Brads.

The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and I pierced right below it!!!

Hope you play again with us this week??? Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thank you for stopping by!!!

A 2Redbananas Day!!!

Happy Wednesday everyone!!!

Today I'm showing off some new 2Redbananas Set's that are available in the store today!!!

This first one is the June Journaling Spot Set!!! It's a yummy ice cream Set.....that you can use for card making or scrap booking!!!

The image was inked in Memento Black and colored with Prisma Markers - PM-132 and PM-86.

On top of the ice cream image I added some Crystal Effect - it looks really cool!!! I tried to capture it on a photo , but it didn't turn out so great :(.... - sniff!!!

I used some leftover Bo Bunny DP and some matching So Saffron CS.

I dressed the card up with some Silver Pearls and the Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon.

******************************

The second one is a sweet Baby Set called Precious Bundles!!!

This Set was designed by Jami Bova - isn't the stroller image too cute???

I love making baby cards...so I made this first one in a neutral color - So Saffron and Kraft CS.

The stroller was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic and Prisma Markers - E47 and PM-132.

The So Saffron CS was embossed with the CB folder Swiss Dots. The corners were punched with the SU Corner Rounder.

Of course I had to bedazzle this card with the Silver Pearls and some Brown Satin Ribbon.

********************************

The third and last card was created with the same Precious Bundles Set and this time I had to make it pink!!!

The DP is from the current SU Hostess Level I Patterns Pack Designer Paper Series II Pretty in Pink Collection.

The stroller was inked in Memento Black and colored with Copic Markers - RV00 and C3.

I dressed the card up with the 5/8" Striped Pink Pirouette Ribbon and you guessed it my favorite Silver Pearls :).

Make sure to swing by the 2Redbananas Blog to see what the Team has created with the new Set's!!!

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Hey everyone!!!

It's Tuesday again and you all know what that means :)?!? Yep - it's time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Our host today is Betty Wright and she has challenged us with an Inspiration site - Kimberly Poloson art on Allposters.com.

I was inspired by this Tuscan Fruit poster. What better way to show off the newly released Flourishes Set - Life, Love and Lemons!!!

I inked the lemon image in Memento Black and colored it with Copic and Prisma Markers - G07, E47, N1 and PM-21.

The Brown Dotted DP is from PTI. The Yellow CS is some unkown leftovers.

I hope you all check out the fabulous site that Betty found for us and get inspired to play along??? Please download your creations under *FTTC20* and please add the link (poster) that inspired you so we all can see it!!!

Don't forget to swing by the Flourishes Blog for all the Samples and find out who won last weeks prize!?!

******************************

I was still in the coloring mood and created another card with the same Set.

I kept this card in all white with a fresh splash of colors.

I changed the sentiment and added the some scoring. Plus I used a different green on the leaves. I exchanced it to a Prisma Color - PM-165 Grass Green.

Hope you like this version too :) ?!?

Please visit - Betty, Cindy, Connie, Dee and Kimberly for their take on the Inspiration Challenge.

Banana Split Sunday & CPS Sketch!!!

The 2RedBananas are sponsoring the Card Positioning Systems Sketch this week - wahoooo!!! There is not only a prize to win when you participate in the CPS Sketch, but there is also a prize to win over on the 2RedBananas Blog!!! So make sure to check out both individual giveaways!!!

For my take on the Sketch I used the Flourish in Thought Stamp. I love this cute little fairy that Jami Bova designed!!!

I started out by scoring the White CS on top and in the middle.

Next I inked the fairy image with Memento Black and then colored with Copic and Prisma Markers - E00, B34, N1 and PM-6.

For inside of the wings I added some shimmer with a sparkly Gelly Roll Pen. You can probably see it better on the small close up photo!?!

The DP is from the PTI - Berry Sorbet Collection. At last I dressed the card up with the PTI Spring Rain Satin Ribbon and my favorite Silver Pearls :)!!!

Hope you all come out and play this fun Sketch?!?

OCC Challenge, IC184 and a Bonus Card!!!

Hey you all!!!

Hope life is treating you well these days....??? This has been a busy Vacation Bible School week for us...but it's all good the girls had fun and I'm exhausted - LOL!!!

As you can tell my blog has been neglected this week, but I'm happy to show you a card today for the OCC Challenge!!! Today's Challenge is all about using your favorite *Border Punch* !!! I decided to use this SU Eyelet Punch first....I'm also showing off some of the new Stampin Up goodies!!!

I also combined the OCC Challenge with the IC184 - Lovely Package. It was hard deciding what fun package I should use for inspiration, but at last I settled with this Health and Beauty product - I really liked the flowers and the color on it!!!

I started out by using a retired Long Note - Kraft base. I scorted the top part of the card for additional interest.

Then I added the border punched White CS. I also added two scored lines on the bottom part. Next I adhered the fabulous new *Razzleberry Lemonade DP* plus I added the new 1/2" Polka-Dot Rich Razzleberry Ribbon.

For the main image I used the SU Ever After Set. I added the new In-Color *Rich Razzleberry CS* right below. The image itself was colored with an Old Olive Marker as well as the new Rich Razzleberry Marker!!! This is so exciting....Stampin Up is finally offering the matching In-Color Markers this year - I love it!!!

At last I inked the sentiment from the same Ever After Set in Basic Black and added my favorite Silver Pearls (Michael's).

Make sure to swing by the OCC Blog to see all the samples and for close ups visit the OCC ladies on their blog - Cindy, Jennifer, Vicki, Frances, Jenny and Joycelyn.
***************************************

Hold on there is more......

Since I was in the groove of card making I thought I'd show you some more ideas with the new In-Colors....this time I'm using the There She Goes - Butterfly Happiness Set.

Again I used the *Razzleberry Lemonade* DP Collection.

The butterflies were inked in Crushed Curry first and then Basic Black. The leaves in the background were inked in Dusty Durango onto Dusty Durango CS.
Next I added the sentiment and I pierced right below it. To finish it all up I added the Silver Pearls.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!?! Thanks for stopping by!!!

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday!!!

Happy Tuesday!!!

Today the fabulous Cindy Haffner is hosting the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge!!! Of course she always makes it fun and today she is challenging us to use *Designer Paper*!!! Now, I realize that Designer Papers are about as necessary to card making as Spellbinders die cuts, but there is a lot that you can do with Designer Papers. You can stamp on them, use border punches, color them, paper piece, die cut shapes, cut out images to use as a focal point, or just to enhance the look of your card. Whichever option you choose to do, we would love to see what you create.

I love Designer Paper, but I must admit when it comes to coordinate them I usually shy away from using them....one of my card making downfalls :( - LOL!!!

Another thing I shy away from is making *masculine* cards.....I guess I'm more a girly girl card maker - LOL!!! So - for this Challenge I figured I get over it and tried to combined both *dislikes* into one card - LOL!!! Let me know what you think???

For this card I used the the masculine DP from SU - Manchester that works perfectly with the new Flourishes Set - A Man's View.

The Sketch I followed is the WSC84.

I stamped the chair image in Baja Breeze and the sentiment in Chocolate Chip. Next I distressed the edges with the PTI Vintage Cream Ink Spot.

For more masculine touches I added the Chocolate Chip Ribbon and the Copper Hardware.

Hope you'll join us this week???
Make sure to stop by and see - Betty, Cindy, Connie, Dee and Kimberly's take on the Challenge!!!

For all the details on how to play along please stop by the Flourishes Blog!!! ~TFL~

FS122 meets Banana Split Sunday!!!

Happy Sunday everyone!!!

Congrats to Kisa for being this weeks Featured Stamper #122!!! Kisa has a wonderful gallery and I had a hard time deciding which card to case, but ultimately I ran with this card!!!
Casing this card gave me the chance to combined my card with today's Banana Split Sunday - Pattern Frenzy Challenge!!! You have to use at least 3 different Pattern Paper on your card!!!

Here are the changes I made according to the casing rules:

I used different colors and Designer Paper, different image, added some Ribbon and I tweaked the layout a little bit.

The Designer Paper is from Making Memories - Chloe's Closet Collection. My card base is Very Vanilla.

The image is Country Girl from the Sarah Kay Collection. The 2Redbananas store is selling this super sweet image too!!!

I inked it in Memento Black first and then colored it with these Copic and Prisma Markers - E00, E47, R08, R27, B34, YG91, PM-121, PM- 124 and PM-132.

After the coloring I took the PTI Vintage Cream Ink Spot and distressed it around the edges of my card!!! Next I added Brown Gingham Ribbon and attached them with Copper Brads.

At last I created the row of Copper Brads on the bottom - voila!!!

Hope you are diggin' out some out your unloved or loved Pattern Paper and play along?!?

Check out what the rest of the team has created - Cassie, Deb, Jeanette , Denise, Teresa, Wendy and Jami.

Have a wonderful remaining Sunday and I'll be back later in the afternoon to announce the winner of the Blog Candy Giveaway!!!

I really liked the beautiful colors and translated them into - Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Purely Pomegranate plus I had to add the Chocolate Chip for the tree image.

I thought I'd use the super cute SU - Branch Out Set as my main image. This Set is featured on page 100 in the current SU Catalog!!! Are you all ready for the new Catalog to come??? I know I am - wahhooooo!?!

I started out by adding the Regal Rose DP from the Hostess Level 1 Patterns Pack Collection. I added a double row of piercing in between the DP.

Next I stamped the tree, bird house and tire swing image with Chocolate Chip. The leaf dots are inked with Pretty in Pink and Certainly Celery. The sweet little butterflies were inked in Purely Pomegranate.

The sentiment is from the SU All Holidays Set and I also inked it in Chocolate Chip. I also added some piercing right below the sentiment!!!

To finish it all off I added the Certainly Celery Ribbon and the Silver Brads.

****************************

Here is a card I made with the newly released There She Goes Set - Rejuvenate.

I think this is such a fun girly girl Set and I also like that you can either color it a little bit or a lot. Today I decided to color it just a little bit!!! If you want to see more ideas with this Set make sure to check out the TSG Gallery!!!

My choice of colors for this card is - Bashful Blue, White and Berry Sorbet DP (PTI).

The image itself was inked in Memento Black and colored with matching Copic and Prisma Markers - E00, B34, E47, YG91 and PM-6.

To dress the card up a bit I added some piercing to the Bashful Blue CS. I added some Angel Wings Shimmerz to the bubble bath and the floating bubbles. At last I added the row of Silver Pearls on the side.
Hope you will have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by today!!!

BLOG CANDY and a card for Banana Split Sunday!!!

HEY EVERYONE!!!

It's time for some Anniversary Blog Candy!!! I hope you like what I've put together????
But first I want to show you a quick *Graduation* card I put together for the Banana Split Sunday - Tied up with Ribbon Challenge!!!

This cute Set I'm using is from the 2RedBananas May Release called May Journaling Spot.

You can hardly see it, but I have stamped the Real Red CS with the smaller stars using Real Red Ink.

I punched the So Saffron CS with the SU Scalloped Edge Punch. Next I added the So Saffron Ribbon. I tied the bow separately and adhered it with some Glue Dots.

The sentiment was inked in Basic Black and cut with the Small Curved Rectangles Nestie.

Next I stamped the smaller star image from this Set onto Real Red CS using Real Red Ink again. This time I cut them out, raised them with Stampin Dimensionals and dressed them up with the Silver Pearls (Michael's)!!! Of course I had to add more of the Pearls onto my ribbon treatment :)!!!

Thank you for being so patient and looking at my card :) !!! Now it's time for the goodies!!!
