ICAD 60
This one does not have a video, I started to film it, then after taking a break, I was working on the card again and thought I hit the button.... I didn't. This one with went through stages...lots of ugly stages. Again I used the colors from the Mixed media mood board.
I used the Desert Turquoise, pink and yellow and white. Kept layering with stencils til I was happy. The yellow I used with some corrugate as a stamp. The Thistle chipboard piece is from UmWowStudio. I used from Deco art Metallic Luster in Brilliant Turquoise. This stuff is so creamy. its great. Glued it on the card, then added a quote.

Canvas Corp Brand: Friendship gives you wings
Its almost Valentines day and though I'm not big fan on the day, I made a tag using Tatter Angles and Canvas Corp brand products.
I got a tag out of my stash. I took my Fiskars cutting mat and sprayed some Polka dot pink Chalkboard and Sterling Glimmer mist by Tattered Angles on to the mat (the smooth side) I took the tag and dragged through the ink. I let it dry for a few minutes. I then took a UmWowStudio heart stencil and sprayed the Sterling Glimmer mist on the whole tag. I wanted the hearts to drip some did, some didn't. After the tag dried completely (I don't have a heat gun anymore, mine died) I did some stamping with a small heart stamp with Picked raspberry distress inkpad. I took a circle plastic canvas and sprayed Its Black Glimmer mist on it. Again I wanted drips and again it failed me. I added some splots with the Java and Polka dot pink.
While the tag dried I had butterfly (from the Tatter Angles Mixed Media Origins wings 12x12) that had painted with Ladybug Glimmer Glaze that I was going o use on something else. I deiced to use t on the tag. I had a bunch of heart wood veneers I took one and painted it with the Java Glimmer Glaze. When that dried, I cut the butterfly wings and glued it to the back of the heart. and glued that to the tag.
After looking online for Valentine quotes, I found a couple I liked and printed them. One I used for this tag. I glued it on the tag and went around the words with pen. I duid glue on another tag on the back of this one tio get it more sturdy. The top part of the tag I used some black lace trim that I got in my welcome kit. I stapled it on to the tag. I went around the edge with the black High Impact paint.

CCB Crew February challenge: hot chocolate hugs
Every month there's a challenge over on the Canvas Corp Brand blog. Its a mood board with images to get inspired from.
This is what I did from this months challenge
From the inspiration board you can see I was inspired by the colors and the hot chocolate. I used my Cameo 2 and cut the ht chocolate cup. The lid I used jack Frost Glimmer mist snd Strerling Glimmer mist for the sleave. I used my fiskars paper crimper (remember that from back in the day) and crimped the paper. I also used that color Glimmer mist on the steam. The hearts I colored with Island Spring Glimmer Glaze. (there were 4 hearts but one disappeared.)
While that was frying I did the background on my journal page. The journal I'm using is the 7Gypsies starter journal in 5x7 in Kraft. Its a nice heavy cardstock. I first gessoed the middle of the page. Once that dried, I sprayed on the Jack frost Glimmer Mist, Sterling Glimmer Mist and a little pearl Glimmer mist. Letting the drip in some spots.
Once the background was dry, I put together the hot chocolate cup and glued it on the page. I found a sentiment on pintrest, typed it on my computer and printed it. cut and glued on the page. I added some splatter with the sprays and also some of the white gesso. I finally went around the words with a black pen.

Canvas Cord Crew Friend canvas
I'm happy to announce that I was picked to be part of the Canvas Corp Brand Creative Crew! It was a complete shock. I hoep this gets me to blog more. Its easy to just d youtube videos, and not blog my project.
Last month I was sent some goodies from them of items that I picked out and also some items they picked for us crew members. The newbies were sent a 4x4 stretch canvas to do what we want with it, to represent us. This is what I did with my canvas
After a few days I decided what I wanted to do. I took some chipboard from UmWowStudio and gesseoed them and then using Glitter Glaze Lady Bug, Tatter Angels High Impact paint in Hot pink and Silver.
I went through my dies (not that I have a lot of dies) and die cut the "friend" Sizzix die from a piece of white cardstock and the peace signs from memory box with the white corrugated paper both by Canvas Corp. I sprayed the peace signs in Sterling Glimmer Mist, Polka dot pink Chalkboard, painted one with Island Spring Glimmer Glaze. I also sued the Island Spring on the friend die cut.
Before gluing everything down I did some splatter of white craft paint.

I started off glue down some medical gauze. We have a lo of that stuff from my dad. I wanted more texture then I glued down some stuff that I got at the 99 cent store. I let it dry over night.
I gessoed everything. Then took Its black Polka Dot ink Chalkboard and spayed the how thing. Then used It's Black glimmer mist and sprayed one side of the canvas and sprayed on the other side Sterling glimmer mist. While that dried I stweed what I wanted to put for the focal point
. It was a struggle. After a few days I decided what I wanted to do. I took some chipboard from UmWowStudio and gesseoed them and then using Glitter Glaze Lady Bug, Tatter Angels High Impact paint in Hot pink and Silver.

its November so it means NaNoJouMo
Well its November, and with November comes so many things: Thanksgiving, election day, Veterans day, My Birthday, and NaNoJouMo!
NaNoJouMo was started by Dawn Sokol. Everyday in November you can do little or as much art journaling everyday in November. Dawn gives us prompts for every day that you can use or go off on your own. This year she listed all the prompts at once. Which I think is great. If I wanted to I can film 2 or 3 pages in a day. And I'll be going away for Thanksgiving so I went ahead and did those pages so I wouldn't be too behind.
Here are the pages for Nov. 2-8. I have most of the pages, including Nov. 1st page up on my YouTube Channel. I even made a playlist for NaNoJouMo 2016

Mission Inspirations: challenge accepted
Mike Dekin on youtube has started a FB challenge group a few months back. Mission Inspiration. Every month, he puts up a video with a challenge of 10 things you need to do in order for the mission. He then does his art journal page for the mission.
Most of these I've done on video. I think the first one is the only one that isn't on video. i did film it, but I tried to voice over for it, the audio wasn't matching up with the video, so I got rid of it.

May Mission Inspiration
Its May and over on the Facebook Group mission Inspiration there was a new challenge. The Challenge is to do the list of the 10 things listed. To watch me make this page go to my youtube channel and watch it next week!
Here is my finished page.
The journal I'm using is something I made using mailers from a casino here in Vegas. They're 8 page booklets. I thought they would make a cool journal, so I glued 4 of them together.
Step 1 was adding gesso. I use d DecoArt Media Black Gesso
Step 2: use 3 gelatos or water soulable pigments. I used passion fruit, iced coffee and metallic icing gelatos from Faber Castel
s
tep 3 blow paint with a straw. I used Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink Process Magenta on the top and DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Interference magenta. The Interference magenta really didn't spread well so I had to spritz some water the blew through the straw.
This is when it was starting to be a hot mess.
Step 4 Use a stencil with a medium of choice. I used a stencil from Plaid with Moss Pearl Dazzling Metallic by DecoArt. It was getting better
Step 5 Add texture with molding paste. I used a stencil that I cut from my Cameo with DecoArt Media Black Molding paste
Step 6 Add a collage element. I used an ad from a magazine.
Page got a lot better, and no longer a hot mess
Step 7 play with pen or pencil. I used the white Stabilo all pencil
step 8 add a border. I used coconut gelato ( should f waited a little bit more for the molding paste to dry. but it worked out. lol) around the pages
s
tep 9 use verbage. i used a sticker from Cosmo Cricket Art Tiny text
and Step 10 Use Stickles or glitter glue. I used Distress Stickles in Rock candy for her skin and Distress Stickles in spun sugar for her dress. Also added some Stickles to the top and bottom of the verbage.
