Syysmasis ja remppahaaveita - SAD and dreaming of renovations

Syysmasennusta pukkaa eikä mistään meinaa tulla mitään. Näpertelyinspistä olis, muttei energiaa toteuttaa sitä. Mieluiten vaan nukkuis, eilen sentään sain siivottua 1:1 ja huomenna jatkan pentulan pykäilyä, sillä meille on pitkästä aikaa tulossa salukipentuja <3 Sen viimeistään luulisi piristävän!

Oon tässä tillittänyt Marvolo Manoria ja luulenpa, että haluaisin tehdä julkisivun mustasta marmorista, jossa on kultaiset suonet (maalaten toteutettuna tietenkin). Ikkunan- ja ovenpuitteet sun muut vois sit tehdä kulahtaneen kultaisiksi, ehkä mustalla krakleerattuna. Simmonen tosi synkkä mutta pröystäilevä kokonaisuus siis, tuntuis Voldemortin tyyliltä. Täytyisi vaan jossain vaiheessa olla varaa ostaa kunnon pöntöllinen mustaa maalia ja toinen kultaista, about alla olevan sävyistä. Luoja vaan tietää millon siihen on varaa. Kauhea hinku olis myös piristävälle kirpparikierrokselle, mutta eipä ole varaa siihenkään *synkkää mutinaa*

I'm suffering from a bout of SAD and not getting anything done. Now and then inspiration for crafts strikes, but I can't seem to actually work up the energy to put those ideas into practice. Mostly I'd just like to hibernate, yesterday I did finally get around to some 1:1 house cleaning and tomorrow I'll continue getting the whelping room ready, as we are finally expecting Saluki puppies again <3 That should at least get me out of this funk!

I've been staring at Marvolo Manor and concluded that I think I'd like to make the facade out of faux black marble with golden veins (done in paint of course). Window sills, doorways etc. could be painted in the same aged gold, perhaps with black crackling. A dark and sinister yet ostentatious facade seems like Voldemort's style. So, now I need a big tub of black paint and another with gold paint, approximately the shade seen below. God only knows when I'll have enough money for the paint though. I am SO longing for a tour of the fleamarkets too, it'd do my mood a world of good, but I can't afford that either *dark muttering*

Esittelyssä Marvolo Manor - Introducing Marvolo Manor

Uusi nukkekotini (löytyi huutonetistä taannoin 6 eurolla!) pääsi vihdoin pois pahvilaatikosta ja sai paikan olohuoneesta. Samalla varmistui että siitä tulee Voldemortin salainen kartano. Voldyn tornipiilo Riddle's Rook:kin on työn alla, mut tokihan lordilla voi olla kaksikin pytinkiä, varsinkin kun hää on piileskelevää sorttia. Herran kartano sai nimen Marvolo Manor. Riddle's Rook on selkeesti 1:12 skaalaa, Marvolo Manor taas pikemminkin 1:14, jollei peräti  pienempi, en tiedä mikä Lundbyn (klassinen 1:16) huonekorkeus mahtaa olla? Voldyn hieno kärmessänky ei siis mahdu kartanoon vaan saa pitää paikkansa tornipiilossa.

My new dollhouse (that I found online a while back for 6 euros!) was finally freed from the cardboard box it was in and has now found a place in the living room. Having looked at it for a while I decided to make it Voldemort's secret manor house. Voldy's tower hideaway Riddle's Rook is also under construction, but surely a Lord can have two properties, particularly since he's the lurking kind. I named this estate Marvolo Manor. Riddle's Rook is in 1:12 scale, while Marvolo Manor is 1:14 if not smaller - not sure how high the rooms are in the classic 1:16 Lundby houses? Anyway, this means that Voldy's ostentatious snake bed won't fit into the Manor, so it'll keep it's place in the Rook.

Voldy on omaksunut työnjohtajan roolin, jotta saa mieleisensä puitteet.

Voldy has taken the reigns in the contruction to make sure the decor is to his liking.

Huonejärjestys on hiljalleen muotoutumassa. Tuonne koristeelliseen lisäsiipeen tulee ainakin jonkunlainen huvimajan ja kylpylän sekasikiö. Vintille tulee kylppäri ja varmaan jonkulainen palvelijain huone. Kakkoskerrokseen arvatenkin työhuone ja makkari ja alakertaan olohuone/salonki ja keittiö.

I've slowly mapped out the general layout. The ornamental wing will be a sort of folly/bathhouse. The attic will have servantä's quarters and a bathroom, the second floor will house Voldy's bedroom and his study and the ground floor will have the living room/salon and kitchen.

Minimielipuoli tosiaan - Minimaniac indeed!

Voinee turvallisin mielin väittää harrastuksen vieneen mukanaan, kun huomaa TAAS ostaneensa nukkekodin! En voinut vastustaa, kun hieman leikeissä kuluneen mutta remontoitavissa olevan ihanuuden sai 6 eurolla!

I think it's safe to say that I've been swept away by this hobby, seeing as I've gotten yet ANOTHER dollhouse! I couldn't resist it, when I found this fixer upper for a mere 6 euros!

Muutama kauneusvirhe löytyy, mutta äkkiäkös nuo korjaa! Tai ainakin kuvittelen niin - en ole vielä saanut uutta ihmettä karvaisiin käsiini, mutta ihana kummityttöni ja miehekkeensä kävi hakemassa sen myyjältä tänään ja joko tällä tai ensi viikolla saan sen kotiin - en malta odottaa! KIITOS vielä kerran talon noutamisesta Jenni & Jesse <3

It's taken a few knocks, but they should be easy to mend! At least I think so - I've yet to get my paws on it, but my wonderful goddaughter and her man picked it up from the seller today and I should get it home this or next week - can't wait! THANK YOU again for picking it up for me Jenni & Jesse <3

Sitten täytyykin enää keksiä mihin talon sijotan ja kuka siihen muuttaa :D Ehkä Teddy & Victoire Lupin, tai kenties George & Angelina Weasley. Tai ehkä joku ihan muu... kauppoja kenties?

Then I just have to figure out where to put the house and who will live in it :D Teddy & Victoire Lupin perhaps, or maybe George & Angelina Weasley. Or maybe someone else... or stores?
