6 Years Old Today

Hello to all my furry kid friends. I'm 6 years old today.

I had a great Birthday. Mom gave me a nice steak bone to chew on and before she left for work she gave me a snoozel, it's a pigs face rawhide.

These are some pictures from New Year's, I had just been stripped. I really hate that.

There have been a lot of changes since I last posted. I am no longer the Scruffy Yacht Dog. Mom and Dad decided to sell my sailboat so Sailor Dance is now back in the Chesapeake Bay where she originally came from. They even sold the Zodiac, which was my favorite.

Here I am with the wind in my fur on Labor Day weekend at Oyster Bay Harbor. One of my last days on the boat.

Gotta run, I will try to write more often.

Long Cruise 2010

Please don't fall off your favorite piece of human furniture. Yes it is I with a new post.

We returned from our Long Cruise for the summer. Over the course of 10 days we visited the following exotic ports of call.

  • Hamburg Cove, CT
  • Stonington, CT
  • Block Island, RI
  • Mystic, CT
  • Clinton, CT

Here I am with Mom keeping cool in Hamburg Cove.

I spent most of my time underway sleeping, usually in someones lap if one was available.

Oh good, land is near, I need to empty...

I've developed a new habit this summer. I don't like to go on my green pad so Dad has to take me to shore on the dinghy and my favorite thing is going for rides in the dink.

I got to go running every morning with Mom and the girls on Block Island. I got to do lot's of shopping and sight seeing as well.

This weekend we are off to Milford, CT with my human sissy Melissa and baby Lillian.

Take care for now.

9 Day Cruise Part 1

Hello to all my furry kid friends. Well Dad stopped hogging the computer so I could update my blog. Sailor Dance went in the water the Thursday before the 4th of July. We sailed to Bayville, NY or as the locals call it "Baville By The Sea". From Bayville we sailed to Branford, CT.

Donna, aka "Top Shelf" and me enjoying the breeze.

When we got to Branford the humans decided to walk into Branford. It was a mile and half walk from the boat.

Here we are walking through town, notice I'm in the lead. Mom and Donna had to stop in all the shops. I was bored, so were Dad and Ted.

Finally a store that allowed pups.

Sniffing for bargains.

After some shopping we (Mom) found a Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop, Mom's favorite.

Ted aka SAM "Secret Agent Man" and I waiting for ice cream.

Resistance is futile.

Notice I get my own cup. Mom is the weak parent.

After we finished in town it was time to head back to the boat. By now I was ready for a nap. Here is a good place.

Oh crap more walking.

Okay it's rest time and this is a fine place.

At this point I think even Donna agreed with me, here we are outside the Marine store.

Till the next...

Your pal Luna.

The Sea Monster

Here is another one of my summer adventures.

I was soundfully sleeping on our sailboat one day when I was awoken by strange noises under the boat.

I had to go investigate...

There were bubbles all around the boat...

Then it appeared.

What was under our boat?

Was it the Loch Ness Monster?

Our was it the Creature From The Black Lagoon?

There it is again.

What is that?

It's a Sea Monster!

I barked at it to scare it away.

I barked some more but it would not go away! It swam around taunting me.

I decided to jump in and capture the Sea Monster. So I donned my life jacket and in I went.

I just need to get my lead around it and it's mine.

This Sea Monster is a slippery one.

Gottcha you!!!

I pulled him back to the boat and did he put up a good fight.

Well I hauled his soggy butt up onto the dink and to my surprise it was not a Sea Monster... It was my Uncle Ted.

Did I feel silly. Here I had visions of being famous for capturing a real live Sea Monster. I could've been on Animal Planet, Leno, Letterman.

Of course I had to give my Uncle Ted a big smoochie.

I love my Uncle Ted. He calls me "Puppy Power", turns me into a lunatic.

"The End"

First Beach Party

Hello to all my friends,

It was a very busy summer so I did not get to update my blog as often as I would've liked to. With Fall in full effect I thought I would share some pictures from my first beach party to maybe warm you up for a couple of minutes at least.

Back in August we sailed to visit Jack and Laurie in Bayville which is a little beach side village on the North Shore of Long Island. Mommy of course dressed me up in the pawfect beach attire. Like my stylish summer hat?

It was a long journey but when we rounded green can #17 I knew we were almost there.

It was getting late so the next day we (Dad) rowed ashore in the inflatable boat.

After we got to shore I realized that I forgot to bring my bone. Dad row back and get me my bone.

There were lots of nice people and human pups to play with to.

Here is a picture of me taking a break on Dad's lap.

I found an inflatable boat washed up on the beach.

I decided to claim it as salvage...

It's perfect, I wanted to take it home but Dad wouldn't let me.

We were all having such a good time that we didn't notice that Sailor Dance was dragging her anchor on the bottom and headed to Connecticut.

I nice man in a boat offered to take Dad and Jeff out to Sailor Dance to retrieve her.

Luckily they were able to reset her anchor.

After Dad got back from his mission I went for a swim in the Long Island Sound. It was cool and refreshing.

Mom finally ordered me out because I was shriveling up like a prune.

You had to see all the sand and pebbles in my wirey coat.

I will post more pictures from my summer adventures to maybe take the chill out of your bones.

Update: Mom and Dad are back from Mexico, where my human sister Melissa got married. Sailor Dance is in the boat yard around the corner from our house for her winters nap. Mom takes me for walks past the boat yard to see her. I think she would be happier in the water than perched up on jack stands.

Luna Licks for now...
