MME + Imaginarium Design Chipboard

I was inspired with all the negative pages I see online. I used a black and white photo to contrast the bright colors of the MME collection. I made the background subtle by dabbing white gesso on most part of my design. With the addition of stamps, mists and watercolour pencils, the background blended well with my theme.

I love adding stamps randomly as part of my background. It gives this journaling effect that I wanted. Stamps like text, texture, shapes is always perfect to personalize background.

Products Used: My Minds Eye Fine and Dandy collection, Ranger Ideology stamp, October Afternoon Mists, Lily Bee rubons, Faber Castel watercolour pencil, Gesso, Washi tape.

Imaginarium Design Chipboards used:

For the chipboard, heart chipboard, I dipped it to gesso and added sand to build the texture. You might notice that I do this often with my chipboards, that is because I love the textured effect it creates.

Playing with my Cameo

It has been a month since I received my Silhouette Cameo but I only have used it 3x. Not because I am lazy, but because of some technical problem and now, I am still waiting for some replacement.

Luckily, I was able to do this background before the problem. I have used a file from Silhouette Online Store, one of the files I chose to avail my $10 GC.

MME Fine and Dandy

I enjoyed making this page. The diecut design made everything so much easier. With simple addition of embellishments, I was able to create something I really like. I just wish my replacement blade arrives soon because I really wanted to create more using my Cameo.

March Nook Kit

Hi ladies! Did you receive your gorgeous March kit yet? I know!!!! Gorgeous isn't it? I love the wood patterns, the color combination, those cute buttons & pins, the twine, the colorful rubons, I can go on forever.

If you don't have yours yet, get one now! Check this out:

Manufacturer featured in this month's kit is MME Miss Caroline collection

You can order and subscribe to the Nook kits here!

Okay now, I am sharing with you my first layout that I did using this amazing kit. I am so in love with this kit that I wish I have two of it. I tried my best to maximize what I have so that I can create more projects with it.

I Simply Enjoy You

For this layout, I made my own background by misting different colors and stamping textured images to my cardstock. I have used Hero, Kaisercraft, MME and Idea-ology stamps.

To add a touch of teal on my page, I used my washi tape and a leftover Lily Bee rubon that I got from a previous Nook kit. I love, love, love how it made my page more cohesive.

The patterned papers were added minimally to make the photo pop but with the cute embellishments that came with the kit, I was able to achieve the look I was aiming for.

Thanks for dropping by! I'll show you more in the next few days. One will be a double page class using the March kit.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Not much scrapping yet because of some holiday hangover. I would definitely start scrapping again this week. For now, I would like to share with you a layout that I did using My Scrapbook Nook's December kit featuring MME's Holly Jolly. This layout was also featured at My Minds Eye blog.

Thankful layout

Living in a 3rd world country is very difficult that is why I am thankful for a lot of things in my life right now. Being alive and able to survive everyday is a blessing to me and my family. I am grateful that God is keeping us healthy and strong to overcome everyday problems and trials. I am thankful for having a very supportive and loving husband that I can rely and depend on. I am also thankful for being blessed with a very smart and gorgeous baby girl. These are the most I am grateful for!

TRIMS!!!

Have you seen MME's gorgeous trims??? I have and I just want to shout G*O*R*G*E*O*U*S!!! Here are some of my favorite:

Don't you just love the texture, the sparkle and the dimension of those trims?

We were requested this month to create a layout showcasing MME's trims and here's what I came up with:

"Happily Ever After" layout by LG Belarmino - My minds Eye Lost and Found collection

A few months ago I bought my 2 year old a cute tutu skirt. I love how the tulle were layered together creating volume and dimension. Inspired by this, I used some of MME's Madison Avenue's trim to create the same effect. I applied the layering on the mannequin doll design that came with "Pretty" Dress Shop glittered paper. It was perfect! I also used the brown trim to stitch over the punched border that I added.

Looking back

October 2010 was a very busy month for me and my family. It was the month when my 2 year old daughter participated in a fundraising fashion show sponsored by Adidas. The whole month was in preparation of this show to raise money for Special Needs Children educational scholarships. I am proud that we decided to enroll my daughter to this school who specializes in special education because we want our daughter to learn how to appreciate and socialize with these kids.

My daughter is the youngest preschool student and this was her first time participating in a big show. October was full of rehearsal schedules, fitting, venue scouting and practices. We were so proud of her for doing more than we expected, facing more than 500 audiences and walking down the runway. It was the highlight of that month!

Here is a layout that I made using MME's Lost and Found line:

The color of this line was perfect for these photos taken last month. I just love that the design on each paper looks like pre-made templates already. By adding photos and embellishments, I'm all done.

MME Blog Challenge 17: Lessons Learned

Join us this month at My Minds Eye blog challenge and win amazing prizes!!! To more about the details, click here.

Here is my take to the sketch:

Like all mothers, we have this instinct of protecting and loving our babies. We love them because they came from our body, they are adorable, and we feel that they are dependent on us. But as they grow, we learn so much from them. They are starting to have their own personality, identity and confidence. These new characteristics gives us more reason why we love them so much.

MME Alphabet Soup - Girl

Here is a layout that I did a few weeks ago using MME's Alphabet Soup Girl collection. To see the full collection, click here.

I have used a butterfly template printed from my computer.

I saw many layouts lately using grid lines, rows and butterflies that I wanted to try it. But if you wish to get a lot of inspiration regarding butterflies, there is only one person I recommend, my co-DT from the Nook Wendy McKee. You'll be amazed on how she layer her butterflies, how she design it and incorporate it on altered projects as well. Check out her blog here.

Happy Sunday!

BOO!!! Scared?

Sorry I forgot to post this layout last Monday when it was posted at MME's blog here. Feel free to leave me some love :D

Halloween is not highly celebrated here in the Philippines but you can still see Halloween displays on malls and other establishments. For this layout, I used a photo of a mummy that we saw in the mall. It was very well made and looks so eerie.

The 2 new Halloween lines from MME are uniquely beautiful and spooky in its own way. The Haunted line has the classic Halloween look while the Blackbird line plays with color and cute illustrations. I was torn because I like them both so following my design aesthetics, I incorporated both lines on one layout. With the classic black and Kraft look, I added a pinch of color (orange) to make my design bolder.

Thanks for dropping by! I will be visiting your blogs this weekend!
