Cute Girl Obsessed | Guest designer for Shimelle

Hey everyone! I was so excited to be asked to be a part of this! And then I kind of freaked out cause I didn't know what I was going to do. Just being honest, lol. But a few days later I walked in to see my daughter playing on her floor with her ponies, dinos and cute little dino blanket on her head and snapped a few pics and thought this was perfect!
I scrapbook a lot of pictures and they always mean something to me, even if it doesn't look like it to others. But this, this was a shot of my little girl, being completely herself and loving every minute of it. I want to make sure to collect all of these moments because she's growing up and doing it fast and I don't want to forget any of it. Ok, ok now to putting my layout together.... I decided in the beginning how I wanted to have my photos clustered together, so I added some adhesive and stuck them together and figured I would figure out the rest as I went. I knew she was looking to the left in all three of them so I knew I wanted my pictures to be on the right side of the layout, then came the little bit of mixed media on the background. I pulled two of my Fun stampers' journey liquid color and splattered them around, hit it with my heat gun, cause I'm impatient and kept moving.
I pulled out my little bin where I keep all my scraps and particley used 6x6 paper pads and started pulling the colors I had decided to use. I have a love for the colors teal, pink and yellow. I also threw in some black and white paper and small touches of gold. These are colors I love together but are also some of my daughters favorites lol, so it works out great for me.
I started pulling papers and tucking them behind my pictures, not even caring that they were from different collections or manufacturers, they looked good together and that's all that mattered to me. I love scrapping this way, it makes it easy for me. Once I had all the layers right where I wanted them, all stuck together, I added some foam adhesive to the back leaving a space to the upper left where I had decided to place a tag that slid down behind the pictures, a little note for my little miss when she gets older. I am not huge on journaling where it can be seen, I usually do it with a hidden journal spot or on the back of the layout, but I wanted to leave a little note for my daughter, something hidden for her, that let her know exactly how this moment made me feel and how I loved it.
After that, I pulled out my bin that holds a bunch of random ephemera pieces and chipboard pieces, pulled things in my color set and started tucking them here and there till I was happy. This always takes longer than I think it probably should, but I move things around sooooo much lol. I thought I was done at this point, I liked my layout and thought my daughter was front and center and pulled the focus, but I felt like my page was a but one sided, so I decided to grab some of my scrap paper stripsand add them to the far left edge and a few little strips at the bottom. I went back and grabbed some of my Bella Blvd puffy stickers and My Mind's eye enamel dots, tucked them here and there and I was finally happy with my layout and called it done.

Wild & Free | Clique Kits Design team

Good morning everyone! I hope your Monday is going good so far. I wanted to share with you a new layout I made with the Fairytale Base kit. I had some fun with this one. I knew what picture I was going to use when I started. My goofy little miss. But I decided I wanted to work with only a few colors, so I went through the kit and pulled any piece that was purple, that tealy green and the yellow color too. I love the paper that had the cute little black hearts on it so I put that in the pile too.
There was one paper in the kit, Memoir, it had the black hearts with the white background and all of those beautiful, different colored triangles on the other side. I decided to cut that whole sheet of paper up and pull the colors I wanted from it and use the triangles as a main design on my layout.
I distressed the sides of each of the triangles and played with the placement of them. I tried a few things but end the end I put them down starting on the right side of the layout, in the middle and worked my way in. I decided not to wait, to see what would happen really lol. So I went ahead and stuck them down. I do kind of regret that, since I ended up covering so many triangles up, but it worked out in the end. But once I got the triangles down, I moved on to my photo and what I wanted to do with it.
I placed a thin, white mat around the photo, but wanted something a but more. But I also didn't a ton of color there wither, so I decided to pull out some tissue paper and cut a fe layers of that and mat my picture on it. And tucked that cute little tag back there too. It wasn't a hard decision and it was really simple so it only took a minute of two and I was ready to start adding embellishments.
Like I had said, I already went through the kit and had pulled everything with the colors I was working with, so this was pretty easy too. I tucked some flowers behind the upper right side of my photo and then to the lower left. I had also pulled that adorable little horse and wanted to use it, so I tucked it in to the left of the photo too. In the kit there are some really pretty bows too, and I thought that one would look so cute on the horse, so I added it around its neck.
The upper left corner of my layout was looking a little bare so I added a few embellishments there too. Then I pulled out some gold Heidi shine from my stash and added some splatters. And then I thought that I could add a little more purple to this layout by adding a border on two of the sides. I ripped my paper up a little and then added the paper to the back and had another little pop of purple and a bit more balance to my layout. I hope you liked this layout and I hope you head over to the clique kits shop and check out all the beautiful kits that are there!

Happy Girl/ SpieglemomScraps Blog September blog hop!

Good morning everyone!! Welcome to the September blog hop and getting to see some of the new sparkly pretties!!

Today I'm sharing a layout using some Maggie Holmes products and a cute little picture of my daughter, playing with what she calls a "Fairy Rock" lol

I started by adding a few paper strips to the left side of my layout. I love that paper from the collection that has all the flowers but is black and white, great for a little painting! So I pulled out some of my shimmerz and added a little in to some of the flowers, then wanted to add some more so I knew where I wanted to put my picture, so I added little brush strokes around where I was sticking my photo.

Then I moved on to adding all the layers behind my photo, pulled out a few pieces of ephemera and added my photo cluster in where I wanted it. I grabbed my pretty new Morning Glow sequins and sprinkles those babies all over!! lol I grabbed the Peachy Keen collection and pulled out some of those pretty little flowers and added them in to the mix too! I thought the color of the flowers added the same little pop of color that was in the paper collection!! I thought the right of the page was a little neglected, so I added a strip of paper there and a little cluster with a camera and that was it!

I hope you enjoyed this layout and Make sure to head to the shop and check out the new releases!! They are so BEAUTIFUL!! And make sure to use my code to get 15% off your order!!

Head over to Lauras blog to continue on with the fun Hop!!

Sweet photograph/SpiegleMom Scraps DT

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here this morning to share my 1st layout for Spiegelmom Scraps and I'm excited about it!! I hope your Saturday is going well. Last night was a bit rough, we had some nasty weather come threw, but its bright and sunny this morning!
Ok so back to the layout I made, lol. I love to play with sketches! Sometimes I stick really close to them and then other times it ends up looking completely different then the sketch! And I love the fact that a sketch can jump start your creativity when your a bit stuck. This is the sketch I used for the layout I made today:

I found this layout on Pinterest, like I do a lot of my layouts, but it came from ScrapFriends.comAU, unfortunately there isn't a link to the site anymore.

I grabbed an older WeR Memory Keepers paper pad from my stash called It Factor and pulled that stripped paper for the background. Then I reached into my DT pack and grabbed the pretty Shimmerz Texturez in The tide that binds and a stencil from my stash. Instead of checkers on my layout I wanted to use circles, I grabbed a little dabber I have and dipped it in to the texturez and started dabbing away at the bottom side of the page. I loved the way it looked so I added some to the top of my layout too.

I grabbed a few papers out of the paper pad and did a bit of layering behind my photo and added a tab that said love from a little bucket I have with lots of random pieces from random collections from the past, sitting on my desk. I wanted some flowers in on this layout, so I grabbed a pack of flowers that went with an older Maggie Holmes collection and popped one to the left side of my layout along with a cute little sticker from a Dear Lizzy collection. I had 2 collections of sequins that went perfect with this layout, the colors were a perfect match!! Gotta love Emojis and Jaded Hearts! Both collections are so beautiful and added the bling factor that I was wanting. Side note, lol, But I know how Traci Claiborne from the Scrap Gals is always talking about how they don't like to splatter glimmer mist or other mists cause it cant be exact or might mess the layout up, Sequins are a perfect alternate to that!! I think at least lol, different sizes and you can place them where you want, without having to worry about messing anything up!

I added my title off to the right of my picture, those cute acetate words from Pink fresh studio and another leaf from the Maggie Holmes die cut pack. Then I moved to the top of my layout and started layering bits and pieces from the Pink Paislee Cest La Vie ephemera pack and a few more bits from the Maggie Homles ephemers pack. I added a flair button from an old Hip Kit kit and then went to adding more of those beautiful sequins!
I really hope you enjoyed this layout and would love to see you play along with the sketches and your pretty Spiegelmom Scraps stash too! Make sure to tag us on Instagram so we can see your creations!!

Good morning everyone!! I hope you're doing good today!
Well its Sarah here again to share my take on sketch #304!

I started my layout by grabbing the Maggie Holmes Shine collection from my stash and the goofy pictures of me playing on snapchat.

I wanted to do mine a little different so I went with circles and a cut-file for one of my layers. I knew I wanted the cut-file from the Cut Shoppe to be my 1st layer behind my photo, so I started out with backing it and then adding pop dots to the back to five some dimension.

After I did that I grabbed that pretty black and white stripped paper and the blue dotted paper and cut them into circles about the same size.  I added a doily in between them from Pretty little studios. I love those doilies! I added all the papers, cut-file and doily down at an angle, like the sketch. I added a tag in from the ephemera pack that went along with this collection and backed another circle with some of the same patterned paper as the res of the cut-file and slid it behind the tag.

I decided I wanted to add a few floral stickers and stems from the ephemera pack, I grabbed a few little chipboard hearts from the chipboard sheet too. I love that camera from the sticker sheet but have never used it and with this being pictures of me, I figured it would work great! lol So I added that and placed my title on top. To finish my layout off I grabbed my Heidi Swapp black color shine and did a bit of splattering and called it done.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my take on this fun sketch and I hope you play along with us too!! Make sure to share your creations with us on Instagram @creativescrappers #creatingwithsketches
I would love for you to check out my Instagram too!

12x12 layout / Yeah Yeah Yeah.....

Morning everyone! Its cold here, what about where you are?

Well I thought I would do a little scrapping to pass the time and stay cozy here at home. This is a picture we took with our youngest daughter (at the time) to kind of announce we were having another baby. she was super excited, if you cant tell, lol

I started off with a white background and then used a Hip Kit club cut-file that said yeah yeah yeah repeatedly. After that I started doing my layering behind my photo. Different odds and endes from a Maggie Holmes collection.

I loved the bright colors and the teal in the collection went well with her cloths, but we didn't know what we were having at the time, so it worked with the mix of everything.

I added the ephemera pieces, flowers, frames, bows and then added a few enamel dots and word stickers, a strip across the bottom with a few embellishments and that was about it for this one. I did a little journaling on the back, about how everyone reacted to the text with the picture and how excited she was.It was a really simple layout, I think I managed to get it done in about  42 min. and only had to stop once or twice to grab a juice box or snack lol

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my layout today and I hope you come back again. If you want tot make sure to not miss anything, feel free to hit that fallow button and you wont miss out on anything anymore.

Not amused / Leave a little sparkle wherever you go / Cocoa Daisy DT

Good morning everyone!! I hope your weekend has went well and I hope you had a great turkey day!!
We've had a long one and its been great. We got to see a bunch of family and friends and eat lots of great food too!
I thought I would drop in real quick this morning and share a few layouts I made with my November 2016 Cocoa Daisy kits.

This one was made for a sketch challenge over at Cocoa Daisy and I had so much fun with it! I love to work with sketches, You can work as close to the sketch as you want if you just want to or if your mojo is low or you can just use it as a jumping off point. I stuck pretty close to it, just because Iiked the sketch.

I was fun and I loved how it worked with the goofy pics of my youngest daughter.
Speaking of goofy.....

Here is another layout I made of me and my middle daughter. We were playing around taking goofy selfies lol. I loved the Cocoa Daisy exclusive paper, so I used it as a larger strip of the right side. Did a bit of layering behind the photos with some of the DITL cards, patterned papers and some of the exclusive little stickers and die-cuts.

I finished it off with some of the pretty Spiegelmom scraps sequins.
Heres a few more close ups of that layout for you to look at.

Thanksgiving Inspired door hanger / Cocoa Daisy DT

Hello!! So whos ready for the Thanksgiving holiday to start?? This girl right here, that who!! lol For us it starts today!! The kiddos headed out to school this morning so excited that break starts when they get out of school today. We have a lot of family stuff planned and I have lots of scrappy stuff planned lol.
Speaking of.....
I'm sharing a door hanger I created with this months Cocoa Daisy Sprinkles kit and the Glazed add-on. The colors are fantastic, I'm not really that traditional so I love the teal popped in here too! I started by butting a cut-file created by Ashley Horton, it says Happy fall y'all, I backed that with the pretty teal paper.

After I did the backing I ran a bunch of the papers threw my silhouette, cutting out a bunch of leaves. I played with the placement for a short period of time and was happy so I lightly glued them down and then sewed threw them all a few times, all the way around in a circle. After I sewed them down I lifted up the edges of the leafs to add come dimension. I loved it already but wanted more to it.

So I thought I'd put a saying on it. And if you know me, I'm a bit goofy and I like things to be fun so I chose a fun little saying. Gobble til you wobble. lol My kids liked it too.

I thought I wanted it out of that pretty yellow, but when I cut it out I realized I didnt like it. So I grabbed the brown paper that looked like leather and thought it would look great and I was way happier with that one!!

Finishing it off I placed some of the awesome Spiegelmom Scraps sequins here and there around the little leaf wreath and I was happy.

I had fun with this one, I always love having new home decor for the holidays, now I have family members wanting some too lol.
Remember to head over to Cocoa Daisy and check out the kits and grab them before there all gone!! And make sure to check back for the new kits for December too!!

Hello / 12x12 layout

Good morning everyone!!

This is my newest little one here. Shes cuddling with my hubby, pre-hair cut lol, and I thought it was sweet that she just kept staring up at him. So I wanted to capture that. She would just sit there and stare at him, still dose now that shes a few months old, but now she jabbers more and simles, LOVE that!! lol.

Well I used my September Hip kit to make this layout. I had made it when I was still on the design team, but never shared it. I was in my craft room cleaning up and found it, so I thought Id share it. I love the nice soft colors that are mixed in with the new Maggie Holmes Gather collection, but I also like the yellow and blues!
Here are a few close ups for you to check out!

Love love love you so much / Hip Kit club CT

Good morning everyone!
Well I'm sharing my last layout that I created for Hip Kit club as a design team member. Septembers kit was AMAZING!! I loved all the beautiful papers and embellishments that there were to play with.

This layout is of me and my oldest son at his elementary school graduation. He did so good and I'm so proud of him! He ended the year on such a high note, so happy, cant tell I'm a proud momma hu? lol
This was actually after graduation, there was a little celebration for all the kids and their families and of course were a goofy family, so we took a nice picture and then the goofy took over!

The pretty papers from the Maggie Holmes, Gather collection were fantastic along with the Simple Stories, Posh papers, the combination was great and it worked great for a page with a boy. A lot of people may see this as a kit full of pretty pinks and florals, but there are plenty of things to make a boy page too!

I layered that great cut-file Ashley Horton created on the teal paper by Simple Stories and both of those on a sheet of white cardstock by American crafts. I added layers behind my pictures and then I started playing with all the little pretties in the kit and layering them around my layout.

I enjoyed my time with Hip kit club, but now its on to new adventures so I hope you come back and check out what I'm up to and keep checking out the Hip Kit blog!
