December lits | Clique kits International design team

Hello everyone! I don't know about you, but I love to make lists. I make them all the time, everyday, but I make ones every month too. Sometimes they are just a reminder to pull out my camera and take some pictures, or something to push me a little further. Make me think outside the box. And I like this because sometimes it sends us on little adventures. December was a little different, we had a ton going on, family and health issues, so no real big adventures, but still Christmas fun, so I thought I would share my list and the way I decided to dress it up.
Usually I start out with my list and that's it, btu this past year I have been playing around a little more with how I do things. Why not dress it up and make it pretty? So I do that. I got the beautiful Holiday magic Seasonal kit and oh man was I looking forward to it! I love Pinkfresh Studio and this Christmas/Holiday collection was fantastic! I started by pulling some washi from my stash and running it across the top where I was going to put my title, then pulling the alphas from the kit and putting my title down. As you can see I started writing my list right down the left hand side of my page and then realized I didn't have to do that, I could lay a little with it if I wanted. So, I stopped what I was doing and started digging through the ephemer that came in the kit.
I pulled out everything I thought I would use, well really I pulled out everything lol. I started to layer pieces and play with how I wanted things laid out on my pages and started sticking them down. I distressed the edges and layered paper on paper, along with puffy stickers. And then I went back to writing my list. I'm not big on sharing my handwriting, not a fan of it or the mess ups I make but hey its part of it alot of the time right?
At this point this page was done and I could have left it at that but I wanted to still play with all the pretty thing and I had already taken some pictures of some of my decorations, so I decided to play on the next page too and add a little journaling.
So I moved to the next page, layed my pictures where I wanted them and started digging through my ephemera again. I wanted to have the washi on both pages, another something to bring them together so I pulled that back out and put it on the top and bottom of my page. Once I was done with that, I thought that the washi had made a great anchor for those cute little houses, so I distressed them too and stuck them down. I finished everything off by adding some of the gorgeous sequins that come in the kit and that was it. This really didn't take me long to make and I like how it turned out. I don't know about you, but sometimes I need to do something that is like a slate cleaner. Something that doesn't take much thought and you can just do freely. This, making my lists and decorating them, is one of those things for me. Is fun and relaxing and seems to rejuvenate me for scrapping when I'm having a block. Sometimes it's getting messy with mixed media that helps, other times its making my lists and making them pretty. What about you? What do you do when you have scrappy block?

Paper Sweeties June 2019 New Release Party!

Good morning!! Back with some more from Paper Sweeties!!
Today I'm sharing a door hanging that I made for my girls room. They are obsessed with mermaids and these stamps were perfect for it!!
I pulled a sheet of chipboard out of my stash, along with some paint, texture paste, Hiedi Swapp gold color shine and some paper I had water colored, along with the Mermaid wishes stamp set.
I added the texture paste to the chipboard, then painted it with my white acrylic paint. I set it aside and let it dry. Then moved on to stamping these cute little mermaid tails and starfish on some paper I water colored the night before.
I stamped them and then cut them out. I splattered the gold color shine across the whole sheet and then started to add my saying with the gold thickers, Be a mermaid and make waves.

I pulled out the pretty blue sequins and added them around the door hanging too. Punched two holes in the top, added my twine and was done.

Thanks for coming by again and checking out what I made. I hope you go and see what else there is new in the Paper Sweeties shop!! And make sure to check the rest of the teams stuff out too!!

Cute Girl - Bella Blvd DT

Good morning everyone!
This week were playing with the cute little felt Pennants that Bella makes. I think these are fun to play with and add some texture to your layouts.

I had my pictures picked out and printed in a photo strip, then went threw all the pennants I had and pulled all the ones I wanted to use with these picture of my sweet little niece. Once I knew what pennants I was going to use, it made it really easy for me to go threw the different collections and pull papers in those colors. Once I had pulled papers from different collections, I cut four different circles out of four different papers and at different sizes so I could layer them.

I adhered my circle layers down and placed them in the middle of my layout, laid my photos on top of them and grabbed my pennants. I placed them on the sides of my photo strip and thought it needed something more. Then I remembered the wooden sticks that came with the pennants and pulled them out. I laid them ad different places on my layout behind where my photos would be. I moved them around a few times, but thought I liked where they were so I checked with my photos and was happy. I glued them down, added a white mat to my photo and then went to added the pennants. Since the wooden sticks added some dimension, I added a little bit of foam adhesive to the parts of the pennants that hung off the sides.

I decided that I wanted more circles on my layout, So I grabbed my circle punches and went to popping out circles of different patterns. You cant see it to much on this layout, but the smallest layer in the layered circles is the one with what looks like white diamonds on it, so I punched a few of those out in the white paper I had already used and in the black paper that had the same pattern.I placed the punched circles around the layout till I was happy and liked how it looked. Once I did this, I decided I wanted to pull that black diamond paper in, so I added a strip to the top and bottom of my layout. I ruffled up the edges of my papers, I'm really liking this right now lol. I added a few of the cute word salad stickers here and there, grabbed some sequins from my stash and finished the layout off with a little bit of shine!
I hope you enjoyed this layout and hope you stop back by to see what else I do!
Pennants: Shapes, Island Escape, Love, Mom Life, Girl
Wish Big Collection: Party Animal, Cakes&Crowns, Birthday Song
Mom Life Collection: Jammies All Day, Exclusive Collection Kit Bonus pattern

Scrappy Saturday-Good Vibes- SpiegleMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone!! I hope your having an amazing weekend, we've had a long weekend here and the kids have been having a blast! Our weather has went from freezing to in the 80's again lol, our weather cant decided what it wants to do here!
But on to the scrapping and pretties!!
This month were playing with circles and this is the sketch were playing with this week. I love playing with sketches and circles are a fun switch up too!! I have to be honest, I usually stick with squares and rectangles, so its fun to break out of my norm.

I loved this months new sequins and I really wanted to play with the Dream Land mix. I want to play with them all but I dont know what a layout would look like with ALL of them on there lol. Anyways, I went through my scrappy stash and pulled out what I had left over from the Girly and strong kit from The Fairy tale club. The kit had everything but the purple in it, and I hate that I didnt use the purple cause its one of my favorite colors! But all the other colors matched!!! And I was so happy about that!
I started out playing with a little Shimmerz on the background. I used Spritz Cotton Candy, Dazzlerz Sea U in the morning and splattered a little Shimmerz Bumbly Bee on there too! I do have to say that I am loving Bumbly Bee, its amazing! The shimmer to it is fantastic! Anyways, back to it. After I let the background dry, I sewed four circles on the background in black thread and then started the layering.
Usually I wait to put my sequins on last but this time I started with them! I pulled out my sequins and started placing them around my sewn circles. I wanted to play with them so bad and loved the way they sparkled!! After I placed them down, I thought I should probably get some pretty paper and pictures put down. So I pulled out some pictures of me, of course playing with snapchat again, lol.

I pulled out some doilies from my stash and laid them in my sewn circles and started layering behind my photos. The papers were bright and fun and I loved the way it was coming together. I had already used all the embellishments that came with the kit so I had to make my own, so I pulled one paper that had pretty roses on it and another that had lip stick on it and started to fussy cut!

For my title, I pulled out a Dear Lizzy die cut word and added some cotton candy Spritz, then added it onto of my doily. Then tucked in a large lipstick for fun and a pretty flower.

I finished the layering behind the rest of the photos, cut down the white cardstock and added the light blue, blue striped paper to the background and was done.
I hope you play along this week with this sketch and make sure to share on instagram and tag Spieglemom_scraps in it!! We'd love to see what you create!! And remember when your checking out at Spieglemom Scraps, make sure to use code SARAH15 when you check out to get 15% off your purchase!

Fairy Tale Club Halloween Banner!!

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here with a cute little Halloween banner I made with this months cute kit.

I started out by pulling papers and planner inserts that I though went well together and of course that I thought were too cute! I got them in an order that I liked and started cutting them down to size.

I started out with the white paper that had all the cool little orange Halloween doodles. I went through the die cut pack and pulled sooo much out lol, and then went to town on embellishing each banner piece. I wanted the die cut Halloween word on the first one. But I wanted to add a few pops of color from the papers too. I used a punch from my stash and punched out some of the purple paper and then tore a piece of the pink paper and adhered them down.I added a gold foil spider web, then added the die cut Halloween word and slid a die cut two toned pumpkin and a gold foiled pumpkin sticker too.

I moved on the the next on, this was a planner insert and already had the happy pumpkin on it so I added some of the die cut candy pieces. I didnt add much to this one cause I loved that smiling pumpkin!

The middle one was another planner insert. I loved the witch and the colors, so I added a doily behind this one and wasn't sure what else I wanted to do so I moved on.

The Beware one was also a planner insert and I didnt want to add to much to this one either, so I added a few die cut shapes and moved on to the last one.

I actually took a planner insert and cut the adorable teal bat out and wanted to use it. I punched a few of the papers from the kit with one of my punches and layered them, then added the cute little bat on top. I pulled out a few stickers, gold foiled and not.

I knew I wanted to add more to all of them, so I decided to sew them together and use a little extra stitching on them. I liked the way that looked but wanted a little bling, so I did grab some sequins from my stash, some from one of my 1st FTC kits and a mix of others. After I added the little bit of bling I was happy with it and hung it up on the wall in my kitchen!

I hope you like this little banner I made and I hope you are inspired to play and make something fun for Halloween too!!

Scrappy Saturday-Being weird/ Spieglemomscraps DT

Good morning ladies!!
I hope your enjoying your weekend so far!! This is our last weekend before the kiddos go back to school and oh man we have a lot going on! We have our oldest sons 1st football game of the season, our youngest is turning one!!! Omg! And making sure everything is together for school Monday. And in there some where I want to try and find some more time to scrap!! lol
But on to the actually layout I came to share with you this morning. Lol This week over on the Spiegelmomscraps blog were scraplifting the fantastic Katty Miranda!
Here is the layout I chose to scraplift of hers:

To start my layout I pulled out a few of my favorite shimmerz and played with the packaging technique on the background. Mine is no where near as bright as Katty's but I loved the way the colors blended together and went with the Create Paper  Confetti collection that I had decided to use. I know I could have made them stand out more but I decided to not use gesso on the background and keep it a but lighter.

I wanted to scrap this goofy picture of me and my hubby playing with one of the Snapchat filters. I have a lot of these kind of pictures! Me and my kiddos play with it all the time too! lol I layered a few papers behind my picture and then moved on to embellishing.

I wanted to add a lot of embellishments like Katty had, but I didn't want to use so many flowers since this was just a goofy pic of me and my hubby. I mean dont get me wrong I could have easily used flowers, but I wanted to use some of the pointed circles that were in the collection already. But I did add a few flowers in there too!

After adding the paper embellishments in there and getting them where I wanted them, I stuck them down and started playing with some of the chipboard pieces and other 3D embellishments. And pulled out my cute little Shooting cork stars and layered them in where I wanted them.

I always save the best for last! I pulled out one of my favorite sequin packs right now, Fairy Garden. I love playing with my sequins! lol I added those beautiful little shiny pops of color here and there on my layout and was done.
I loved scraplifting Katty this week, I had fun with it! And I hope your liked my take on Katty's layout!!

And remember if your looking for some pretty shinys to add to your stash, make sure to head to the SpiegleMomscraps store and use my name to get 15% off!!

Scrappy Saturday-Bath time baby/SpiegelMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone and welcome to Scrappy Saturday!!!
This month were having fun with some scrap lifting and I was so excited about this! This week were scrap lifting the great Kat Benjamin! It was so hard for me to choose one layout, I went through and saved a ton, just like with all the others and then went back through and eliminated them as I went, lol, so hard!

Here is the layout of Kats that I finally decided to scrap lift.

And here is my scrap lift of it!
I loved the layout and knew what picture I wanted to use, along with what collection! I still had some of my  Story Time kit left from The Fairytale Club and the colors and the cute little mermaids were just perfect along with the beautiful sea shell sequins!

I went through and chose what papers I was going to use and pulled out one of my planner dashboards and fussy cut that beautiful little mermaid out.

I arranged all my papers like Kat had arranged hers and then went to pulling out my clear sheets and sewing them down to the long rectangle at the back of my layering and up on my corner. I chose to go with my clear sheets instead of vellum because I wanted to be able to see the patterned paper behind them still after I got the sequins added in.

I left a small space open and poured my sequins in. I used a mix of different sequins, I love that you can mix and match them and they still go so well together! I used some from Black Tie event, Sparkle Power, Sweet Summer Vibes, Bold Stardust and 2 of the min sequin packs, the blue and purple shells. Everything went together so perfectly! I was so happy with it. Kats layout was amazing and I had so much fun playing along and putting my twist on one of her beautiful layouts!

Awesome little brother/SpiegelMomScraps DT

Good morning everyone! Sarah here this morning to share with you my take on a layout by Missy Whidden!
Oh my! I was quite intimidated by this one! I love to watch Missy scrap away on her youtube channel, but I definitely cant scrap like her! But I sure did have fun trying! This is the layout of Missy's that I chose to scrap lift:

I went for way different colors on my layout and well I guess theme too. This one is all boy!

I chose to use the Crate Paper, Cool kid and the Deck the Halls sequin pack, it went perfect with this collection!

I started by choosing the papers I wanted to punch my circles out of, added some glimmer mist with the packaging technique and then placed my circles down on my layout. I added the top and bottom strip too and then sewed them all down.

Then I moved on to embellishing. I added a pennant banner to the left of the photo, where Missy had had an arrow. Then I moved on to the right side where I added the title.

I matted my photo, added layers of vellum, I think Missy used tissue paper, but I didn't have any, so vellum worked for me! I added a frame to the right of the photo and then added 3D adhesive to the rest for it all to be popped up and then placed it down. I grabbed my thread and made two thread nests and placed them to the upper left of the photo and then down behind my title. Then I grabbed my sequins and had fun playing with them, adding them here and there around my layout.
I hope you enjoyed my layout. I think Missy is amazing and I love her work! Thanks for coming by and checking  out what I did today and I hope you come back and check out all the fun stuff that's coming in August too!! So much fun to come!!

You+Me Happy-Trendy Tuesday/Spieglemomscraps DT

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here this morning and I have a new layout to share with you all! So this week is stitching week here at Spiegelmomscraps, so of course I'm going to have stitching on my layout, but I've also noticed a big trend of layouts with circles on them. So thats what I did this week.

I grabbed Crate papers Hello Love collection, pulled out some of the papers I wanted to play with and of course went with the Fairy Garden sequins from the shop.

I laid my circles where I wanted them across my layout on a diagonal and decided I would cut my picture in one too. I have seen it all over and havent cut my pictures into shapes in forever, so I thought I would go all in and do it with this layout. I stuck my circles down and instead of adding a mat behind my photo, I pulled out my water color paints and painted a black circle that would show from behind the photo. once it dried I  added some 3D foam adhesive to pop it up and stuck it down.

I pulled out my ephemera pack, stickers and some of the chipboard sheet and started to play. I added a few flowers pocking out from behind my picture. Then I went trough and pulled different hearts and some arrows here and there.

I had all my papers down and started stitching around my circles in different colored embroidery thread. I love the texture it added to the layout! I have sewn on a few layouts in the past but this made me want to do it even more!!
After I finished my stitching, I added in all the chipboard and stickers and started adding my oh so pretty sequins. To finish the layout, I grabbed my water colors that I already had out and started splattering in different colors.

I hope you liked this layout and I hope you will join in on the fun this week and stitch on a layout with us!! And make sure to use this code and head over to the Spiegelmomscraps shop and grab you some pretties too!
