Bikubens julekalender, luke 16

I dag har jeg lekt med med litt forskjellige stempler og fargelagt med Copics.

I bikubenbloggen kan du se fargeleggingen trinn for trinn. 

Selv om det ikke er julemotiver så ble det julekort av dem! 

Motivet er Santoro of London fra Gorjus 

Jeg har steplet med memento blekk, Tuxedo Black, på Perfect colouring paper.

Hello crafty friends, 

Whimsy Stamps has been so kind to give this image as a Freebie, you can find it HERE.

I've seen this colored up a lot of times the past couple of weeks, and I figured I would give a go myself. 

I went with rainbow- ribbon in stead of toilet paper ... lol.

Men min versjon har regnbue-bånd istedet for dopapir...hi hi.

Coloring tutorial: Skin and Hair

Hello crafty friends! 

It's my turn to post a coloring tutorial over at Copic Marker Norge today. I am going to show you how I colored this image by Some Odd Girl.

Copic colors used: 

Skin: E11-21-000, BV20, R20

Hair: E25, YR24, Y26-Y21

Eyes: B34 og B32

Greens: YG06-YG13-YG01, G07

Blue: B32-B34-B37-B99

Guitar: E39- E377-E35-E31

Background: W5-3-1-00. 

Here's how I colored the image: 

I like to start with the lightest color E000.

I lay down a fast layer on all the skin.

I draw in the shadows E11, thinking the ligthsource is top left. 

Next is E21, on top of the E11 and a little further.

Smoothing it out with E000.

Next I use all three colors again. 

E11-E21 and  E000.

 Time for the cast shadows using BV20.

I draw the cheeks using R20- and smoothing it out with E000.

Hair is next. I start by flicking the darkest parts using

E25.

Going on using YR24

And Y26

And Y21

I add some more E25 and YR24 on the edges. 

I am happy with the hair.

I make a "map" using YG06 to deside where to put the darkest parts of the folds on his t-shirt. 

Then I use YG13 and YG01.

Finally I add darker shadows with G07, smoothing the edges with YG06, YG13 and 01. 

The pants. I make a map using my lightest blue, B32.  Then I lay down the darkest shadows with B37 and then B34. Finally I use B99 for the darkest shadows. Then I go over the pants with all of my blues again: B99- B37- B34- B32. 

I used E39-37-35-31for the guitar.

for the details on the t- shirt I used V17 and V12.

For the eyes:  B32 og B34. I drew som dots and lines with a white gel pen.

For the backbround I used W5-3-1-00.

DT La- La Land Crafts: Criss Cross card and speed coloring video

Good morning crafty friends,

DT CMN: Lag en mursteinsvegg/ Make a brick wall

Today I am showcasing a clean and simple boy card.

The DT over at Copic Marker Norge is giving you lots of inspiration every week this summer, so don't forget to stop by the blog to have a look around!

Her har jeg prøvd meg på et veldig enkelt guttekort.

I wanted to make a background to match the image. I decided to make a wall behind the skater using my blender. 

Jeg har fargelagt et guttemotiv, og jeg synes det passet at han skulle stå foran en bakgrunn som matchet stilen. 

Here's how to: 

Fremgangsmåten for bakgrunnen er slik: 

1. Use your blender to wet the paper for a smoother blend.  Use E33 near the image. Careful not to touch the red and green. 

1. Først dekket jeg bakgrunnen med blender for å fukte arket og få tusjene til å blande litt bedre.

Deretter legger jeg E33 nærmest motivet- som en skygge. Veldig forsiktig så jeg ikke skulle dra rød og grønnfargen på motivet utover. 

2. Color the rest of the wall using E31. Use broad, quick strokes for an even look. 

3. Så dekket jeg resten av arket med E31. Jeg fargelegger raskt og tett, med jevne strøk for å prøve å få det så jevnt som mulig. 

3. To make the bricks, use the broad side of your marker. One row at the time.

3. For å lage "murstein" brukte jeg chisel-tuppen på blenderen. Jeg legger den forsiktig ned på papiret et sekund, før jeg flytter den videre til neste "sten". 

Resultatet blir en "murvegg" bak motivet.

Hair/Hår: E57-53-51

Copic Tutorial: How to color a face

Hi crafty friends!

There are so many ways to colour faces. Depends on what kind of image you colour and how the artist drew the face. It is a matter of taste and technique- everybody has their preference.

For my DT assignment this month over at Copic Marker Europe I made this tutorial on how I like to colour faces, using the following Copic Markers: 

E0000-E000- E11-E13- E21- E15, E93 (cheeks), B99-97-93-91 (eyes)
Image is cropped from  "arctic friends" by Saturated Canary.

Start by colouring all the skin with E0000

Draw the shadows using E11. Under the hair line, over and under the eyes, under the chin, under some of the lip. Draw nose lines.

Add deeper shadows using E13.

Blend with E11 and E21.

Blend using E000.

E93 for the cheeks. I add colour from the eyes and towards the middle of the cheeks.

Blend with E000. I only use the E000 on the outer edges of the E93.

Next I darken the shadows using E15. On the hair line and hood line, 

and under the eyes and under the lips. Not on the nose.

Blend with E11 and E21. Adding shadow on the side of the nose and lips.

And finally blending with E000.

I add colour to the eyes. I used B99-97-95-93-91. From dark to light. I leave a small dot of white for highlights.

And for the lips: E93-R20 and E04. Same thing- I leave some white highlights.

Time to colour the rest of the image. Copic colours used: 

Hair: E57-55-53-51

Jacket: BG75-72-71 (homemade)- 70- 57-53-11, W7

Cup and t-shirt: BV25-23-20, W7

Skirt and mittens: E44-43-42-41

Fur: W7-3-00

Background. B60, W000, blender

Here's my finished project: 

I used papers by Maja Design and sentiments by Papirdesign. 

Some Frantage- shabby white around the image.
