DT Make it Crafty: Mila's Love Heart

Hi crafty friends, I'm sharing my Make it Crafty GD card today. I chose a cropped version of Mila's Love Heart from the Sweet Valentine Girls collection. Since we don't really send all that many Valentine's day- cards in Norway  I made it into a love themed birthday card.

Kort 5 front
I colored the Birthday- chipboard with E07- R37 and R24 and left the frame uncolored. I colored the heart lightly with R30 and added Stickles and glossy accent. Papers are by Maja Design and dies by Magnolia and Memory Box, the die for the shape of the card is by We R Memorykeepers.

Pirate birthday card

Hello friends and followers,
Here's a card I made for the February edition of Ett Trykk Magazine using the cute Pirate Avery image.

I used brown cardboard only for this card, design papers only on the inside. I found the pirate chest shape in the Shilhouette online store. To try to get a distressed, leathery look on the chest I distressed with walnut stain, added glossy accent several times and rubbed it with sandpaper .

I used my copic markers:
Skin: E13-11-00-0000, E93 for cheeks.
Hair: E37-35-31-30, 07
Clothes: E11-13-07-18.
Skirt and "hat": BG15-11-10, W3
Boots: W9-7-5-3-1
Scarf: BG15-11-10, YR24-23, Y21

Here's the inside of the card. The papers and Friends-sticker are by Prima, tag from Sagen vintage design. The sentiment by Norsk Stempelblad was stamped on using embossing ink and Stampendous Frantage- gold.

Hope you like it!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today,
Have a great day!

Buttons and Bows at the Midweek Magnolias

It's the middle of summer, and I know a lot of bloggers and crafters are taking the summer off crafting to spend time with family and loved ones. But if you do find the time you should stop by the Midweek Magnolias this week to check out our new challenge:

Buttons and Bows

The DT has got lots of fabulous creations to inspire you.

Here's my card:

I made a card in a total different size
than my usual 6 x 6. Kind of fun really. I think it turned out nicely.
I used Pion Design papers, a spellbinder die, and a Martha Stewart punch. I used WOC and Kort og Godt flowers and flower swirl. Buttons are from my stash- I almost never use buttons on my projects...lol, so these were found deep down in a drawer. The white seam binding and the pearl on top are by WOC, and the lovely lace is from the Live and Love Craft store.

The Tilda in Summer Rain by Magnolia, is colored with distress inks.
Hope you like it!
Don't forget to stop by the Midweek Magnolias to join in!

Enjoy your summer days!

Just Magnolia- Something New

Good morning dear followers.

For this weeks challenge #175 over at Just Magnolia and hAnglar & stAnglar challengeblog, we have a lovely new challenge for you:

Use something new on your card!

To be eligible for the prize you MUST use a Magnolia or hAngler stamp!

I have started making Christmas cards, and thought I would have a go at a pop- up card, something I have never done before. I struggled a little, but it was fun! What do you think?

The NEW stuff on my card is the gorgeous bells and angels charms. Aren't they lovely?, and also the berries from Kort og Godt I put in the middle of the flowers. I used papers from  Pion Design Christmas collection, Ventan på Tomten II, Cheese cloth, Prima Flowers, the dies are Magnolia Doohickey's: Christmas trees and mini doily. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink- vintage photo, and used my sewing machine around the edges. I also made little pearls with the Liquid pearl to create some "snow" on the trees.

Here's a closeup of the charms and the sentiment stamp.

I inked up 3 Christmas Magnolias and really went crazy on the reds...lol...
I colored the images with Copic Markers. Colors used:
Skin: E13-11-00-000, Hair: E49-47-31-29-27-25
Clothes and shoes: R89-59-46-37-27-24-22-20, C5-3-1, E39-37-35-33-31-30
Ornament: C5-3-1/ Liquid pearl.
Here is the front of the card.
I used a Kort og Godt Stamp, stamped with crackle paint, the punch is from Martha Stewart.

Hope you like it. I would like to enter my card into the
Magnolia Down Under Challenge:  #164 Pop up card.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
Have a wonderful weekend!

I used Magnolia doohickey's lovely fence die, Heart swirl die from Memorybox, and the leaves are QK dies. I also used a Martha Stewart punch. Cheese cloth and pearls from stash. I  used a small punch to make the butterflies, and I put some liquid pearl on them. I distressed the edges of the papers with Rangers distress ink- vintage photo. Bon Voyage

Magnolia Down Under has a fun challenge this week: To use a stamp from the bon voyage collection, or travel theme. Here's my take:

I've been thinking about trying to create a scene on one of my cards for a long time. I see so many georgeous scenes on blogs around, and I wanted to give it a shot. I don't really have a lot of background stamps, but I figured I could try to put together something from the stamps that I have. I chose not to do masking, because I wantet to be able to move the objects after coloring them.

I colored the stamps with copics and cut out them out with scissors and scalpell. I used a small house, two fence stamps, a tree, and tilda on the loose. All Magnolias. The fence is stamped on aquarell paper, distressed with walnut stain distressink and then covered with glossy accent to make it pop. I cut the tree in two to make it less dominant, and used the two parts to frame the scene.

I cut a square of aquarell paper and paintet the sky and grass with distressink. Then I glued the stamps on, creating a scene in layers, wich gives the card a 3D effect. It doesen't really show on the pics that well, but it looks kind of cool in real life:)

I desided to make a step card using quick cutz scalloped edge dies to create a frame effect. Papers are pion design.

Some of the details:) I made some room for writing a personal message on the bottom of (under) the card.

Hope you like it:)
Love it if you leave a comment to say what you think!

Don't forget to check out my previous post for the Just Magnolia challenge this week!
