Personalized Stationary - Die Cutting Monday

Hello everyone, Today starts our new round of design team posts. Every day we have a different project for you. Mondays are projects using die cut machines and I am bringing you a very useful project: DIY personalized stationary. This is an actual gift I am sending to a dear friend of mine whose birthday was a few weeks ago. TIP: When using die cut machines, it helps if you try to sketch out what you have in mind. They are fabulous and have many images we can use to cut (electronic and metal die cuts). When I sketch what I have in mind first, it helps me map out what colors I will need and even if I end up with a different product from the sketch it helps get myself organized. Visit her blog at lepaperstudio.blogspot.com to learn how to make this. VIDEO TUTORIAL: Direct youtube link: http://youtu.be/qGYzK9EM5rM Hope you have a blessed day and thanks for stopping by, Luisa

Fridge Magnet Project

Hi Friends,  Sandy here with another post for She's a Sassy Lady .  Today I am going to show nice project that I made for my sister. Her and the family are leaving for Africa in 4 days for two years. She will work as a teacher/missionary.  So...yeah, I'm a little emotional right now. She asked me to make some thank you cards to give to those that support Martin's 4 Africa .  But, I got to thinking, thank you cards are nice and all, but I wanted something that people can see everyday.  And when they do, they might be reminded to say a little prayer for her, Joe and the kiddos.  I came up with refrigerator magnets. It is something that people will see when they head to the fridge. She loved that idea and even helped me make them.  We spent the night, laughing, remembering and just enjoying each others company. So let's get started... You will need: 3x3 chipboard square ( I got a poster board sheet of chipboard at the craft store, we made 50 of these from

Hurray for Red, White and Blue

(PATRIOTIC BLOG HOP IS POSTED AFTER THIS ONE AND JULY'S CALENDAR GIRLS HOP IS POSTED AFTER THAT ONE. YOU CAN GET A CHANCE TO WIN SOME GOODIES WITH EACH ONE, JUST LEAVE A COMMENT ON THAT POST. THANKS) Hi friends, glad you made it this far for our Red, White and Blue hop.  You should have hopped of from AJ's blog but if you didn't, you can start at Connie's .  I think it being July, everyone has done patriotic projects and I am no exception. I did a spinning pinwheel tutorial not to long ago, you can find it HERE .  So I decided to make some for the holiday. For the life of me, I could not find any 12x12  red, white and blue paper in my stash so I made my own. I started with my inks and a white piece of cardstock I just dragged the pads in different places. This is the back of the paper.  Taking a stamp set, I started with my biggest stamp and worked down, filling the paper up.  I then went to the small star stamps to fill it in and her

Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop

Hi friends!  You should have hopped over from Ashley's blog but if you didn't you can start at the beginning over at Lisa's . I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July no matter where you are in the world.  We had fun with parades, picnics, fireworks...the whole sha-bang.  So in honor of the 4th, I made this cute rosette decoration for the holiday...  I wanted something different from the normal banner that I usually hang for all the holidays.  The letters were cut from Plantin Schoolbook cart at 3.75" and I used Stickles to give them some bling.  You can kinda sorta see it on the "A".   Hope you like them. Maybe this will be my next tutorial :)   You next stop is Pam . Don't forget that there are a lode of AWESOME sponsors for this hop...
