Fun Fold Card

Hi  to all our fellow crafter's, Ange here on the SBC blog today. I've got a fun fold card for you today. This is one of my favourite card folds I would like to share with you today a "Criss Cross Card", it has so many ways to decorate it, jazz it up with flowers and embellishments or just keep it simple for a thank you! Tip: You can decorate it with flowers and embellishments, color the image and attach it to the front of the card or just keep it simple as an invitation card, the invitation could be your card insert. I will start by giving you the step by step instructions: My Criss Cross I have made with a Sherri Ann Baldy Digi Stamp I have colored with my Copic markers. My Criss Cross Card-All Decorated and Finished. Here is a link to a utube tutorial video for those of you who like to follow along with a video. Birthday Flowers

Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I've got a fun fold birthday card to share with you.  It's the Joy fold and it's also the optional twist on our current challenge.  You can view that post and also enter the challenge here . TiP:  Don't be afraid to try new folds.  They are fun to make and to receive :-)  Cut your cardstock to 6 1/4 x 4 1/4".  I will refer to this one as the base .  Cut another at 6 x 3".  I will refer to this one as the flap .  Score the base piece @ 4 1/4".  Score the flap @ 3".   Fold them both on the score lines.  (sorry about this pic)  Attach the flap in the center of the bigger side of the base as shown.  And this is what it looks like closed.  Easy peasy, right?!! Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today with another fun fold.  It's called a rocking card.  I found this fold on a utube video recently.  It couldn't be easier :-) TiP:  Search your carts for fun circle shapes.  I'm using Elegant Edges Cricut cart - ivy @ 5 1/2".  (I cut the shadow in the red)  Adhere the 2 pieces together.  Flip it over.  Score in half.  (sorry, this is hard to see) Fold.  Now you have the base for your rocking card.  I told you it was easy :-) Recipe: The Paper Studios - Dec 25th stack - word paper 'Tis the Season Cricut cart - sleigh @ 3 1/2" Christmas button Trendy twine pop dots Icicle Stickles Thanks for joining me today.  I hope I've inspired you to try a new card fold.  This is a fun and easy one!  Cindy -- In Love with PAPER

Fun Fold Card for the 15th

Hi  to all our fellow crafter's, Ange here on the SBC blog today. I've got a fun fold card for the 15th July, I will start off with the step by step instructions for you, this is the easiest way I have found to make 2 Easel Card bases from 3 square cards. Tip: When doing a flower cluster try and use different color flowers with varying sized flowers, I find if you use double sided paper this helps make it so much easier for your card to have a blended look. All you have to do now is decorate your card! My Finished Card - Easel Card with a Top Corner Pocket. Hint - Put a personal message in the top corner pocket - friends just love that personal touch! To achieve the top corner pocket, glue first layer of paper to the card front, then you will glue a second layer on top making sure you don't glue the top corner. Then using a paint brush roll your top corner paper back holding the paint brush tightly then just slide the paint brush out

Fun Fold card for the 4th

Hey kids!  Cindy, back on the SBC blog today.  I've got a cute, fun fold card for the 4th of July.  The utube video I watched is here . TiP:  If you don't have a circle punch use your cricut and the centerpoint function along with any cart you have that cuts a circle.  11" x 4 1/4" cardstock.  Score at 4 1/4" and 8 1/2".  Punch/cut your circle out of the top flap.  Your score line should be at the middle of the circle.  You could put the circle more to the left or center.  Play with it and have fun :-)  Opening the card.  The smaller star is the stop that holds the top flap.  I used pop dots on it. Inside the card. Recipe: Plantin Schoolbook - circle @ 2 1/2", 2 1/4"  star @ 2", 1 1/4" Cuttlebug embossing folder - stars Stampendous stamp -inside the card pop dots Dress It Up buttons Thanks for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to get crafty and try this fun fold :-)  Cindy--- In Love with PAPER

Grad Card

Hey kids!  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I have a fun fold graduation card to share.  I saw a video on Utube for this cardbase but I lost it.  And I'm getting old I guess--because I can't remember the name of the fold.  Don't you hate that???!!!  LOL!!  If anyone knows what the name of this fold is please put a note in the comments :-)  This is an easy one!! TiP:  You may want to include a journaling spot in your design on this card. This is a side view of the card base.  Start with a piece of cardstock that is 5 1/2 x 11 1/4".  Score at 4 1/4, 8 1/2, 9 1/2, 10 1/2.  Fold at 4 1/4.  Make a mountain fold at 8 1/2" score line.  Valley at the 9 1/2 score line.  Mountain @ 10 1/2" score line. Flip your card over.  Apply glue or adhesive of your choice to the top flap and close the card base.  It should look like the first photo (see above).  Front of my card. Back of my card.
