Scrapbook Blessings Club

Hey kids.  Cindy back on the SBC blog today.  I decided to create a paper bag mini album.  I got the idea from Maymay Made It Crafts.   This is still a work-in-progress.  I got the basic mini book, the mats for each page, and the tags with tabs that go into each pocket (open end of the bag), and the cover done so far.  I'll post a follow up post soon with all the pages and pictures done.  My daughter decided to switch from soccer to softball this past fall so I wanted to document her first season. Hey kids!  Happy Friday! Cindy back on the blog today.  I've created a mini album for each of the girls in my daughter's brownie troop.  The troop started two years ago and this mini has pictures from the various events or fun activities they participated in.  Since I had 14 books to make I kept the design simple :-)  These little books were handed out at their bridging ceremony.  They are now on to Girl Scouts.  Wooo-hoo! I used cereal boxes for the covers.  I cut them on my Cricut using a deep cutting blade set at 6, low speed, max pressure and multi cut @ 2.  The covers measure 6 3/4" square and the actual pages are 6 1/2 x 6 1/2".  I just glued two pieces of patterned paper together to form the pages.  The pictures are 4 x 6.  Front cover.  I used Elegant Edges Cricut cart - butrfly1 @ 6 3/4" using the book feature.  Sasha was cut using Cricut Craft Room Basics.  The letters are 1" and I welde...

Page One Page Two  Srapbook Kit will be available at Creative Kuts online store soon.  This was the February Scrapbook Kit that was offered to the passengers of the Creative Kuts Choo Choo Train over at Creative Kut's Facebook page.  If you would like to join us as passengers, you will need a invite to the group (closed group) and than inquire of Cheryl or read info on what to do to become a passenger. Everything is included in the cut file for the two page scrapbook layout.  Only change I made was I loaded the kissing couple into my Make the Cut software, put the pieces together and than saved as a jpeg file.  Once I completed that, I loaded into paint.net and converted to a png file; and than loaded into Cricut Design Space, print and cut and I have a completed couple.  The first page was cut with my Silhoutte Cameo, page two all but the "Is In The Air" cut with my Cricut Explore.  "Is In the Air", to complete the page,...

Hey kids.  Cindy back on the SBC blog today to share a really cute Meander Book.  I found the base for this super cute Meander book on utube , of course :-)  It was very easy to make.  I used a 12x12 sheet of white cardstock for the base.  So, this book is only 3x3" square.  There is a pocket on each page-either at the top or on the side.  Cool, huh?!! And I've used the Sept card kit to decorate it :-)  Anyway, when I make my next one I'll probably use double sided paper so it's just easier to decorate.  But, I love how it turned out :-)  Okay, let's meander through my book....LOL.  Lots of pictures!!! Hey kids!  Happy Valentine's Day :-)  It's Cindy here today for the Scrapbook Blessings Club.  I've got a mini album of my daughter's first year playing soccer. TiP:  I cut cereal boxes down and use them for the pages of my mini books to make them stronger. I used The Paper Studio -Chevrons (single sheets) and Uptown Flair stack for all papers. When I Was a Kid cart for the poloroid frame @ 4", heart @ 2".  The First Few Years cart for the arrow @ 1".  Boys Will Be Boys cart for my daughter's name @ 1".  Elegant Edges cart for the pages of the book: burst@6", eyelt2@6", flrsh2@ 6", swirl1 @6" using the book feature.  I cut the pages using cardboard from cereal boxes and my deep cutting blade @ 6 , max pressure, low speed, multi @2.  Remember to flip your image when cutting your paper for the back of the pages. Hey kids! It's Cindy here on the SBC blog and I have a mini album to share with you today!  TiP:  Use patterned papers from a smaller stack for mini albums/cards.  The patterns are smaller scale.   I cut the pages out of cereal boxes.  To cut this with your Cricut you need the deep cutting blade @6, speed at low, Pressure at max, and multi cut @2. Elegant Edges Cricut cart - Eyelet2 @ 6" using the book feature, Scallop2 @ 6" using the book feature, Ivy @ 6" using the book feature.
