Hi y'all, Carolyn here with Friday's Layout and I dug into my archive for a layout to share with you today.  I chose a 2-page layout from last spring: School Rocks TIP:  I love creating one or two page layouts for my grandchildren's scrapbook, and doing what I love, I created a 2-page layout for my grandson's book to commemorate his graduating from high school in 2013... Supplies used:  Scrapbook paper from Close to My Heart - retired.  a school theme.  The card stock from my personal stash that I purchased at Wal-mart (yayyy Wal-mart!!)  Adhesive; and pen is overlay from editing software I use online  I faux stitched the titles and banners. Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a product review on the Bow Easy. My tip will be coming at the end of this post. You can make seven different bow sizes with this one product:  3/4", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/8", 1 3/4", 2, 3/8", 2 3/4".   I've had mine for a couple of years and really love it.   Back then it cost $5.95.  I'm not sure how much they are today. To make a bow:  Wrap your ribbon around Bow Easy, holding the tail with your free thumb.  (I'm left handed, so my right thumb is securing the tail in this picture.) Push leading end through the rabbit hole (space under the ribbon). Pull through and over the top. Leading ribbon edge goes through the loop and then pull tight. Ta-Da!  Cute small ribbon.   Just slide off and put on your project. What's that you say?   You didn't quite get how this works?  Or, you're right handed? Hi Friends, Sandy here for our new SBC Simply Homemade Saturdays.  The SBC DT will now be featuring easy, do it your self tutorials for you, outside the realm of paper crafting. This can be knitting, floral arrangements, home decor, paintings, soap making, organization and anything else that the DT can dream up that is homemade!  Today, I wanted to show you how to make a Heat Embossing Pad to protect your table and your fingers! But first my tip for you: You know how they say duct tape fixes everything, well...scotch tape is a crafters secret weapon. So keep a roll on hand! Now onto our Simply Homemade project! I needed a mat that I could use my embossing gun with so I decided to try and make something.   Supplies: chipboard scissors foil tape First, I used very heavy/thick chipboard.  This one was the back part of an embellishment pack.  Next, take some aluminum foil (I used name brand, it is heavy and as flimsy as the generic).  Cut the size of the board

Hello my scrapbook friends, Cristina here to share with you one of my recent layouts I made of my dad and my daughter when she was little. First my tip: Bring out those old photos and create a wonderful layout to cherish the memories. I think sometimes we tend to just use current photos that we forget the wonderful old ones. I love this layout of them together. He adores my daughter so much till this very day he calls her his little princess. Papa's Love Supplies used: Tim Holtz - Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters and Black Soot distress pads, Bubble layering stencil. Good Morning..Teresa here from Fresh and Renewed ! I am going to share how to use embossing paste and a stencil today. Come join in the fun! Tip: Make sure you wash your stencil and tools immediately after using. It does dry quickly. I am working on making a variety of cards to send to my daughter to use as generic cards when she needs to send one out. She recently told me "with such a crafty mother, I should not have to buy cards that I really don't like anyhow." LOL! Then proceeded to ask, "You wouldn't mind making me some cards would you?" Well what's a mother to do except get busy making cards? So here is my first attempt at using embossing paste and stencils. I think I could really get into this! First here are my supplies I used:   Then I applied the paste on the stencil...so very sorry I forgot to take a picture of applying the paste. Here is the paste after I applied the silver embossing powder.     And the final card.

Hey there, Cristina here from the Scrapbook Blessings Club. I will be sharing my oldie but goodie card I remade for an upcoming birthday. We made a similar card awhile back at a StampinUp party and I really liked the color combo and look I decided it would be great to do it for my friends birthday. Tip - Always try and make duplicates if cards so that you have them handy.   Supplies: StampinUp - Fresh Vintage, Curly Cute stamp sets, Real Red stamp pad, Real Red & Marina Mist card stock, tag punch. The card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 (love these 2 stamp sets)     Using the Curly Cute stamp set you can create the same card for different occasions. Hello, Friends!  I'm so excited and happy for our USA Winter Olympians.   I was inspired to create a "Gold For The Gold" card in their honor.   Tip:  Find your inspiration this week and make a card. A2 sized card = 5.5" x 4.25" Card Recipe: Mat 1 (red) = 5.25" x 4" Mat 2 (white) = 5" x 3.75" Mat 3 (blue) = 4.75" x 3.5" Mat 4 (blue border with stars) = 4.75" x .5"; glitter pen used on stars to make them "twinkle". Sentiment = computer generated USA Map = outline of USA filled with internet USA flag.   White offset added.  Image is 2.24" x 3.6".
