My Little Attic- Valerie Salmon's Sketches!

Took me a long while again to post some creations! I always sneak to scrap upstairs when I have the luxury of time, this helps me throw away all my stress at work, hahha! Here are two of my latest pages...

22 Complete Bliss... is a page to celebrate my eldest's 22nd birthday! We had an eat-all-you-can lunch with the family and his bestfriend Von, then just strolled around Glorietta. I am just happy that I have a 22 year old already. I used here Making Memories and My Simple Stories pps and cardstock stickers, AC Thickers foam numbers and DMC threads. This was inspired by Valerie Salmon's sketch posted in the Attic.

Teacher's Day 2015... It was my 5th year in teaching and what a great way to be honored and loved by the students was to read their messages and wishes. Valerie Salmon's sketch gave me so much room to put some of these messages, just loving it. I used here AC white cardstock, DMC threads, My Simple Stories pps and cardstock stickers and Memories Mists mango lemonade spray.

Thanks to Nette of My Little Attic for providing us with Valerie Salmon's sketches. My layouts were super late because of work load, but I had a great time using them with my photos and memorabillas. I am kinda short of photos this year, but I promise myself to catch many more memories soon.

Life is a bit hectic lately, I wish to unwind and relax soon in my little haven upstairs... thanks for looking as always!

Shine!

My little boy is shining to be a young man! I didn't realize it until I saw him wearing his black suit and red shimmer tie, and all ready for his Junior and Senior Promenade Party. Time went really fast, now my Luigi is a young man in the making and I'm excited as a Mom. Oh, but not with Chuy, he will be my baby for now! Let me share this page...

Shine... my Prince!
This page is inspired by this sketch from Ms. Becky Fleck. I just gave a little slant in my version and used a diecut bracket shaped base. I used here October Afternoon and Graphic 45 papers, Bazzill cardstocks, diecut chipboard, Hambly transparency, Prima epoxy sticker, K & Company adhesive chipboard word, AAS glittered heart stickers, felt heart ribbon, Tattered Angel glimmer mist, blings, Colorbox fluid chalk ink and glittered glue.

I hopped and HOPPED!

Terrible typhoon Ondoy was here during the weekend! and I wasn't feeling well and so I hopped and bumped into Iris Uy's new site and found this! Then, I headed over at Pamela Young's blog and found the Scrapbook Challenge's DT Blog Hop and Sketch challenges. Took me awhile to visit their 13 DT blogs, but it was all worth it... got so much inspirations and learned that some of them are Filipina designers too. Here's Pamela's sketch and my simple take...

David and Me... Here's my very own version of the Philippines' teleserye "Tayong Dalawa" or Two of Us... its my nephew DK, my little "David" Kharl. The name David became famous in Philippine television for almost nine months and since then, most of us fell in love with these handsome boys JR and Dave Garcia. Hehehe! I used here Ytet's bracket-shaped corrugated board, Sassafras pps and cs sticker, Jillibean Soup Journaling Sprouts, blings, ribbons, Tattered Angel glimmer mist, cardstocks, staple wires, glittered glue and Ranger glossy accents.

I'm @ PRIMA Blog!

It's Monday today but my spirit is quite low and I spent the whole afternoon wondering and hiding myself. Its just about time when Cookie buzzed me with some nice news! She saw my July Prima BAP "SOLITUDE" layout at the Prima blog being featured... I thought Prima didn't get my layout because one time Ytet buzzed me too and told me that my page didn't appear in the gallery. It was my first time to join their BAP Challenge, although I didn't actually win, but just to be featured on this flower site makes me feel cloud nine!

Thanks Prima! TFL!

Here's my take...

I'm starting to enjoy the idea of using a sketch! It's a big help in the layout process, but still-- all the elements of the page should come from your own brain and style. And it's up to your own interpretation and version, isn't it? Thanks to Joanne Yap for her first sketch, helped me scrapped Enzo's birthday celebration and our little family gathering during the Holy Week. Here it goes...

Layout of the Week at Itty Bitty Scrapshack...

There's a 6 weeks sketch challenge at Itty Bitty Scrapshack.com and last week's sketch was from Tamara, check out her blog for more inspirations. I'm so happy because Mara choose my layout for the shack's Layout of the Week... check it out!

Another lift from Cookie!

Yes, here's another scraplift from Cookie Aguilar's "A Story of Us". I just love how cookie made this multiple photo layout, it's my second time to lift her page. I used it now for Miel's baptism page. Miel is my childhood friend Marife and hubby Manny's 1st born and I'm scrapping his 1st scrapbook. I love to scrap baby photos, they are so full of memories and so fun to create. Oh, I also made his baptismal invitations impromptu! Here's my layout...
