Dallon and Erin went out and flew kites in the back yard. It took a few minutes to get them up in the air, but once they did they got them pretty high in the air! Love spring, can't wait for summer!!!
The kids did swimming lessons again this year at the North Shore Pool in North Ogden. Since last year we did them the first two weeks in June and only got to go to half the swimming lessons because it was so cold, we thought that this year we would be safe and do them the end of June... well the weather didn't cooperate so well this year either! They got rained out for two of the lessons. Perhaps next year we will try an indoor pool!
The kids had so much fun. Dallon & Erin were in the level 2 class and they did really well. They were kind of in the deeper water - much deeper than I have ever allowed them to be in without a life jacket, so the first day they were a little timid. But they soon got over that!
Phoenix was in the pre-level 1 class, basically an intro to swimming. Let's just say Miss Jana has her work cut out for her when Phoenix starts preschool this year. Directions...? Listening....? Pretty much Phoenix just wanted to play! By the last couple of days she did much better - with following directions, listening and was much more comfortable in the water. She passed and can move on to level 1 next year!
(For whatever reason I didn't get any pictures of Phoenix... Oops!)
On Monday we went to Salt Lake and went to the Discovery Gateway. The supervising adults: Myself & Sara (Ryan's cousin) and the pretty good, somewhat-out-of-control kids: Dallon, Erin, Phoenix & Madison (Sara's niece). Madison is visiting from Idaho/Montana and Dallon & her have become best friends over the last month. So I thought we should go and do some fun things while she was down here.

The Discovery Gateway is a lot of fun. There are a lot of interactive things for the kids to do. They had a blast. The balls that get sucked up into the air hoses were definitely a highlight! As for Phoenix, she could have stayed in the "house" the entire time. But she was a good sport and when it was time to move on to the next floor she went without even throwing a fit! For the most part I think we escaped without any "major melt downs" - and that has to be a historic moment for our group!

Erin, well, I think she liked everything - she was just running back and forth to EVERYTHING, she wanted to make sure she didn't miss anything! Madison & Dallon really liked the helicopter on the second floor. However, there was a school that came while we were there and they kind of took over the museum! So unfortunately the kids didn't get to do as much on the second floor as they would have liked to, but they still had a good time!

After the museum we went to the fountains. Anytime we go to the Gateway Dallon loves to go run through the water. Not that it was warm! I think it might have been in the upper 60's, with NO sun and a slight breeze - and later on we all got rained on as we headed back to the car. Phoenix doesn't like to run through the water, not that I can blame her! But Erin, Madison & Dallon did run through the water, the girls were good about not getting TOO WET - however, Dallon (to every one's surprise, I'm sure...) was not so careful. He got very wet. But he didn't ever complain that he was cold.

We had a good time and thanks to Sara & Madison for coming with us!
Don't you love how it is just "Grandma's House"!... Sometimes I wonder if the kids even know that Grandpa lives there! (Not really!) A couple of Saturdays ago my Mom watched Dallon and of course had the little girls and it was such a nice day the kids were riding bikes and scooters and trikes - basically hauling it ALL out of the garage! (Sorry Grandma & Grandpa!) They had the best time, Grandma & Grandpa have the best house for riding bikes! So here are a few pictures of the kids.
Dallon riding his bike - Maybe this year he will agree to take the training wheels off!!!

Can't forget Phoenix! (Even though she doesn't cooperate when it comes to taking her picture!)
