In a hot humid afternoon, I decided to visit Refuel Cafe @Bedok Reservoir Village for a cup of ice latte and food. Found that they have a new menu and now they have more food variety.
Including Waffles!!
I need more protein so I went for Waffles Salomon & Scrambled eggs!!
Will try the Waffles Berries or Waffles ice cream next time.

Coffee Fix in Melbourne: Proud Mary
Proud Mary is quite a established coffee house in Melbourne. It is located just off the outlet street of Smith Street. Just google it and you will have many good reviews and comments on their coffee. There is no signage of "Proud Mary" board telling you that you are at the right place so you got to recognise the logo and go inside the cafe to confirm.
The building that it is located in looks like a power station:
At the corner of the building with their logo at the entrance:
The interior...all the barista are all ladies:
The roasted their own coffee beans and sell:
This is a long black from El Salvador, very nice and strong aroma...love it:
The latte on the left is brasilian beans:
The coffee menu. Brought the beans for item 1 on the list from Kenya:
A must visit for coffee drinker to experience the coffee culture in Melbourne. It closes at 4pm so be there early.

My Second Visit to Sun Ray Cafe and this time, the Dog's cafe is fully filled but the "Human"'s cafe is quite quiet. This time I dropped by after dinner for coffee and small bites. Dave is kind enough to let me sample one coffee for free outside what I have ordered.
Nice Deco.
One of the Cafe favourite: Asparagus wrapped with Bacon
Blue Batak from Indonesia and Bourbon from Tanzania. Each has their own different texture, favour, aroma and after taste. Blue Batak less bitter with fruity taste and Bourbon is much bitter and thicker.
Free sample from Dave, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee is chilled coffee which is more acidic and full of many different favours like nutty, spicy, citrus...served in a wine glass does make it feel like drinking wine:
Home-made Blueberry cheese cake. Very nicely done. The cheese is not too thick or too light and goes very well with the blueberry:

The special feature of this cafe is that it is pet friendly, occupying 2 shophouse units, the unit on the left is cater for pets and their owner (you can hear dogs barking and playing), and the one on the right for other diners. The owner Dave, is my friend from the army 19 years ago and he was a qualified coffee trainer...ok, you see the last photo and you know what I mean. So coffee is a must try here.
I visited this cafe before its renovation and now is a completely different place. You can see that most customer are returning customer and know Dave himself. The staff are friendly and their service is very good. I am surprised the quality and taste for their food are very good, definitely much better than most restaurant or cafe chains outside and the price is reasonable for this quality.
Do all to make reservation during friday, weekend or holiday night for dinner. It can be quite pack.

Nice simple latter. You can smell the strong aroma when it is served. Make you want to drink it immediately.
This is the reason why coffee lover should try their coffee here:
