Sale-a-bration 2015 workshop cards

Happy Saturday! Hope you all are doing well! I'm sure glad it's the weekend and so happy I was able to do a Sale-a-bration workshop today for my friend Kaye.  We created the fun cards above and got to use some SAB and Occasions catalog goodies. It was a great time!  One thing though that I realized after the fact is that the Butterflies Thinlits are currently not available for order. Boo.  Fingers crossed though that they will be available again very soon, now that the port strike is over. I will keep you posted, but I am being cautiously optimistic. Let's keep it at that til I know more. :)

Now, here's a close up look at these beautiful butterfly thinlits...

Aren't they so pretty? I posted this pic on my instagram (@stampdiehler for those of you that want to check it out).  Hope to get some definitive good news this coming week!

I can't believe we're at the end of March already. Time sure does fly when you're super busy! I have a lot of things I would love to catch you guys up on, so I'm hoping to put out a few recap posts of the latest-goings-on-in-my-neck-of-the-woods soon. It's all good, just so busy - like frenetic pace busy! I'm hoping I get a chance to catch my breath and embrace and enjoy Easter week with the family.

Thanks to you all for coming by and paying me a visit!

Here's a quick list of the goodies I used in my SAB cards:

A look at November's My Paper Pumpkin kit

Hello peeps! One of the things I look forward to getting in the mail each month is the My Paper Pumpkin kit and I have to say I just LOVE this month's project.  The snowflake cards and holiday tags are perfect for the holidays.

The die cut snowflakes make the card look so fancy!

I love the silver baker's twine around the card.  It makes it such a pretty little package.

And the tags - how cool and hip are those? The silver foil snowflake accent with a little rhinestone bling in the center will dress up any present!

And here's a look at the card slightly opened. The sentiment is stamped on a piece of white card stock and attached to the card by a piece of festive washi tape.  How cute is that!

Here's a pic of all the goodies that come in the box.  The kit comes with enough supplies to make 8 cards and 12 tags, plus there's always extra goodies and embellies left over, so you can really make the project your own.  It really is such a nice surprise to get each month!  And, with the holidays approaching, I think it would make a great gift to give to friends who love crafting or want to dabble with crafts.  They'll love that everything they need is in the box!

How fun would it be to give a friend this cute little package that they can look forward to getting each month?  To make things easy for gift-giving, there are prepaid subscription options for you to choose from:

Not only are they great for gifts, but a great treat for yourself, too! ;)  You can check out more details and purchase your prepaid subscriptions here or visit My Paper Pumpkin to sign yourself up for month-to-month subscriptions. Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Have a great one. :)

Don't forget! I have a November Blog Candy Giveaway to celebrate my Stampin'Up! Anniversary!  Leave me a comment here to play!

Sweet blue-eyed love birds

Hey there, crafty friends.  Today is my dear cousin's 15th anniversary, so I made her and my cousin-in-law this sweet and simple love bird card.  My inspiration came from a card I came across while I was perusing Pinterest the other day. It struck me because it was so cute, yet so simple!

In the version I created, I used the Tangelo Twist card stock to punch out my birds with the Bird Builder punch.  Then, I punched out the hearts using the Itty Bitty Accents heart punch.  I layered my little birdies onto a Crumb Cake card stock base.

For the "blue" eyes, I colored in the Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the medium blue marker in the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities assortment.  To pull in that blue accent color a little more, I used the Coastal Cabana thick baker's twine.  And lastly, I stamped the "happy anniversary" sentiment in Tangelo Twist, using one of my retired stamp sets (still love the font of this sentiment!) Here's one last look at the finished card:

Birthday wishes from a Stormtrooper

Hi all! I think I'm in one of those modes where Birthday cards are becoming an area of specialty for me...purely based on my personal quirk of having to create the cards based on the theme of the party.  So, for today's share, I've created this Stormtrooper card for our friend Luke's 6th birthday.  It was a little daunting for me, but with the help of my hubby, who drew it out on paper first, I then translated the drawing out of punches and dies.

Here's a few more pics for you:

I created the head out of the new Party Pennants Bigz Die, his eyes were made from the Triangle punch cut in half, his mouth was from the Oval punch, and his gills were made using the Fringe scissors.  Then, for the circles, I used the 3/4", 1", and 3/8" circle punches.  For his ears, I used 2 strips of cardstock that were 1 1/4"x1"  and 3/4" x 1". For the background, I used the cool Tiny Triangles embossing folder, which totally looks like the Death Star background, don't you think?

All in all, I was quite pleased with the outcome!  Here are some of the new products I used:

I'd love to hear what you think about the card! Thanks for stopping by today!

Outdoor photo shoot!

Happy weekend blog friends! Today is such a beautiful day in Southern California that I decided to do an outdoor photo shoot of my cards. :)  These are the cards from a stamp party I did last weekend.  Simple, quick, and so easy peasy!

For this Make a Wish card, I used the Happenings Simply Created card kit for the card base and then created my tag with Scallop Tag Topper Punch. This card comes together really quick with just a couple of embellies to add a touch of pizzazz.

For the Happy Birthday card, I used the super cute Banner punch, and then added a small strip of Pool Party card stock that I embossed using the Decorative Dots embossing folder - both of which are products you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration {going on now til March 31st!}! Hope you like the the cards.

Last but not least, here's a pic of my cute little helper! He's growing up so fast and starting to talk up a storm.  We had a great time in the backyard today.  Note - no cards were harmed in this photo shoot. :)

Thanks for stopping in!  Have a great weekend.

Marriage advice and some quips!

I've got a fun share with Craft Project Central's 2nd project from Regina A.
Every new bride could use some marital advice and some light-hearted quips about marriage.  This ensemble includes a shabby mini album made up of staggered pages, room for a few photos, and a couple of pockets to tuck notes . . . or more small photos.  When your mini album is complete, the coordinating gift box and greeting card will make for a perfect presentation of the gift, which is sure to become a keepsake.

How cute is this project?  I love me the card box and this color palette is one of my faves!  To get all the deets on this project, you can subscribe to the August projects at Craft Project Central!
