Sneak peek of Stampin'Up!'s new In Colors!

Happy Monday, blog friends! Hope you all had a great weekend.  I have a quick share of the pretty new In Colors that will be available in Stampin'Up!'s upcoming 2016-2017 catty. How yummy do these look?!  I paired these pretty butterflies with the coordinating ruched ribbon, which is even prettier in person!  I love making these mini clothespins - so easy to make and they instantly cutify whatever you clip them to!  I just used a glue dot to adhere the butterflies onto the clothespins and viola, instant cuteness!

Here's a look at the cardstock and coordinating markers:

These lovely colors are Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim.  Hope you like them! The new catalog is just a few weeks away...it will be available on June 1st!

Have a great day and thanks for popping by!

Sale-a-bration 2015 workshop cards

Happy Saturday! Hope you all are doing well! I'm sure glad it's the weekend and so happy I was able to do a Sale-a-bration workshop today for my friend Kaye.  We created the fun cards above and got to use some SAB and Occasions catalog goodies. It was a great time!  One thing though that I realized after the fact is that the Butterflies Thinlits are currently not available for order. Boo.  Fingers crossed though that they will be available again very soon, now that the port strike is over. I will keep you posted, but I am being cautiously optimistic. Let's keep it at that til I know more. :)

Now, here's a close up look at these beautiful butterfly thinlits...

Aren't they so pretty? I posted this pic on my instagram (@stampdiehler for those of you that want to check it out).  Hope to get some definitive good news this coming week!

I can't believe we're at the end of March already. Time sure does fly when you're super busy! I have a lot of things I would love to catch you guys up on, so I'm hoping to put out a few recap posts of the latest-goings-on-in-my-neck-of-the-woods soon. It's all good, just so busy - like frenetic pace busy! I'm hoping I get a chance to catch my breath and embrace and enjoy Easter week with the family.

Thanks to you all for coming by and paying me a visit!

Here's a quick list of the goodies I used in my SAB cards:

Playing along in the Mojo 203 Sketch Challenge!

Hi there bloggie friends!  How are you?  I can't believe we're already into the 2nd week of August.  It's been busy here on the home front with the little man and all, but I got to eek out a card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge 203 in between fussy bouts and naps from my dear baby.  Here's a look at this week's sketch:
It looked too fun to pass up!  I wanted to use the Beau Chateau paper that I just got, so here's a look at the full card I came up with!
What do you think?  I'm still practicing my hand at the vintage look...I admire so many cards made in that style, but I feel like for me, I still need to work at it.  I was pleased at my attempt though.  Just need to practice some more!!  At least I had fun playing with all the elements and putting them together.  Don't you just love that doily background?  It's from the Flirtatious Specialty DSP.  What I like about it is that it's got color on one side and white on the back, so it's totally versatile!  The other side is Melon Mambo, but for this particular card, I chose to use the white side for a more muted look.  Here's a closer look at the Beautiful Butterfly die on the doily:
Hope you like it!  Here's the recipe for you:
{Mojo Beau Chateau}
*Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
*Inks: Soft Suede
*Cardstock: Textured Soft Suede, Marina Mist, Pink Pirouette, Beau Chateau, Flirtatious Specialty DSP
*Accessories: Neutrals Buttons, Early Espresso Twine, White Twine, Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Decorative Label punch, Basic Pearls, Sponge dauber, Dimensionals, Glue Dots, Big Shot
Thanks for looking!  Hope you have a fab day! :)

The cards and purse ensemble pictured above also happens to be one of two projects I created for UStamp With Dawn and Friends this month in the Classes, Clubs and Camps issue, which just opened on April 29th.  Here's a close up of one of the cards:
So...if you'd like to see more, you should definitely head over there and register!  This is a great issue for demos because if you're looking for some creative class projects, you won't need to look further!  Or, for you crafters out there, you'll get your fill of fun projects with detailed instructions on how to recreate each of the projects.  Lots of fun!  Stay tuned for my second project, which I'll post once it goes live on UStamp with Dawn! :)

Sale-a-bration {BLISS!}

Hello there!  Did you know that Sale-a-bration will be coming to an end next Thursday, March 31st?  Well, it's true!  This is your last week to scoop up any of the exclusive Sale-a-bration sets or take advantage of the free product(s) you can get when you order $50 or more of your fave Stampin'Up! goodies.  Today's share is a card I made with the pretty Bliss set.  I love the flourish from this set, not to mention the fancy sentiment, too.  Here's a look at my full card:
It's my first time using the cork with the dies, so that was pretty fun, too.  It's funny - I've had the cork sheets for a while now and have had the intention of using them, but you know how that goes, right?  At least for me, sometimes I've got all these ideas I want to try out and only have time for making one or 2 of them.  I'm glad I finally did use the cork with the butterfly stamp - so fun!  Now that I've busted open the package, you'll probably see more projects using these cool cork sheets!  Here's a closer look at the butterfly - the cork sheets are about 1/8" thick and they go through the Big Shot suprisingly easily!
I've also been getting a lot of use with the Square Lattice embossing folder.  I think it adds so much to the project - makes the paper look like it's woven upholstery - it's a great faux look!  Since we're talking about the background, I really love making patterns with that flourish.  The clear mount stamps make background patterns such a breeze!  Here's the recipe for you:
{Butterfly Bliss}
*Stamp Set: Bliss
*Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red, Very Vanilla, Sweet and Sour Specialty DSP
*Inks: Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red,.Crumb Cake
*Accessories: Cork Sheets, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz die, Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die, Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon, Antique Brads, Curly Label Punch, Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones, Dimensionals

Ice Cream Parlor {butterflies!}

Hi all!  I made more of the fun butterfly easel cards for a demo swap I had this weekend.  These are so fun and easy to make!  The instructions to these cute little guys are one of many awesome projects with detailed PDF instructions that are available from the UStampWithDawn Oh My Word issue that you can find here.  It's definitely worth checking out - Dawn's got a sneak peek of what you can expect on the site so you can get a feel of what you'll be seeing :)

I've got a couple more pics of these cute little Ice Cream parlor butterflies.  Isn't the dsp cute?  There are also 2 sheets f self adhesive coordinating little shapes and borders as part of this Sale-a-bration DSP set, too.

Hope you like them!  Have a great day..need to get back to doing some household chores {ugh!! not so fun, but a necessary evil - heehee!}  Enjoy the rest of your evening and come back and visit tomorrow for this week's Hand Stamped Sentiment challenge!

Bye for now!
