I'm pretty much digging the Decorative Dots embossing folder too - love those bubbles!  And of course, the banner framelits are a must have!  Here's the recipe for you:

R2D2 birthday card!

Hi all!  Hope you guys had a great weekend!  I've got a quick post today - a fun birthday card I made for my Godson's birthday.  He had a Star Wars themed birthday, so I did some research on Pinterest and the web in general on some characters I could create that would be fun for a card and decided to create a version of R2D2.  Here's a full view of the card:

Here are the supplies I used:
*Word Window punch
*1 3/4" circle punch, for the gray semi-circle at the top.
*Circles from the Owl builder punch
*Hexagon punch to create the ends of my happy birthday banner
*Deco labels framelits
*Honeycomb embossing folder
*Cardstock: Basic Black, Midnight Muse, Basic Gray, Whisper White
*I Am Me DSP for the "Ethan" letters, which I die cut using the retired Timeless Type sizzlits
Hope you like it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry for my long silence on the blog, dear friends.  I know it's been almost a month since I've posted.  All is going well so far in my neck of the woods, just busy as always with the day job and my little family :)

I've been prepping some pics for a blog post for a couple of weeks now, but had not gotten around to it, so I suppose now is as good a time as any, right?  As you all know, I've been really into the dress form framelits, so I have yet another one to share.  This is a card I made for my Mom's birthday in March.  I had fun modifying the dresses and making my own outfit {hee!}.

I made the cardi out of the short-sleeved dress and just cut the skirt off, then cut the blouse piece in half and added the pearl "buttons."  I love the dahlia flower in Primrose Petal that I had to incorporate it as an embellie for the card.  I also fell in love with the butterfly print paper from the Patio Party DSP.  Such a cute fluttery dress, no?  Here's the full picture below.  I even made a little balloon, too!  I cut a very narrow piece of DSP scrap using Stampin'Up!'s awesome new paper cutter and then I curled it using the paper snips.  Fun fun!

Hope you like it!  Here's some product info for you - enjoy!

Dress Up Birthday!

Hello all!  Happy President's Day!  I've got a fun card share today using the Dress Up framelit dies.  It's probably my current favorite die right now.  So much fun to play with and design some fun outfits!  For this particular card, I also used the lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit.  I was inspired by dresses that I've been seeing in the fashion mags where lace is all the rage!  So, I thought I'd design my own. The ribbon belt is the seam binding ribbon in Rose Red.  It's such a great light texture and has that soft cascading look I was trying to go for.  Here's another view of the card.
To add some interest on my card border, I used the Needlepoint Border embossing folders.  The trick to do both sides of my card is that I actually started with a gray card front sized at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2."  After embossing the edges, I used the corner rounder punch on the bottom and then glued the front of the card to a Whisper White card base.  Viola!  I then layered the rest of the card with the Yellow Chevron print from the Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP, then added my dress onto the dress form, and popped it up on the card front using dimensionals.  What do you think?  Hope you like it!

Here are the products I used:

Sale-a-Bration is HERE!

I love this time of year at Stampin'Up!  It's Sale-a-Bration (SAB), and that means you can earn some free goodies when you order $50 or more in Stampin'Up! products.  Now, to entice you to see what you can earn, I created this fun little card using the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Seriously - aren't these pants just soo soo cute?!  I just love them.  Here's a look at the full card:
I used the adorable Cloudy Day embossing folder from the Spring Catalog and the Needlepoint Border embossing folder for the trim on the Whisper White cardstock. {can you tell I'm a big fan of that?}  As for the Happy Birthday stamp I used, it's called Blue Ribbon, from the big catty.  Are you wondering what punch I used to layer the round stamp?  Well, it's actually none other than the Scallop Circle punch!  I just notched out a "v" in each scallop to get that look.  Pretty nifty, eh?  Well, I hope you like the card and I hope I've piqued your interest on Sale-a-bration!  You can browse through the brochure here or click on the pic below.

Last but not least, here's the card recipe:

Happy Birthday, Smarty Pants!
*Stamp Set: Patterned Occasions (SAB), Blue Ribbon
*Cardstock: Whisper White, Pacific Point, Pool Party Core'dinations, Sycamore Street DSP (SAB)
*Inks: Pacific Point, Primrose Petal, Summer Starfruit
*Accessories: Needlepoint Border and Cloudy Day embossing folders, Primrose Petal Stitched Satin Ribbon, Pool Party Twine, Scallop Circle punch, 1" Square punch (to cut the ribbon tails on my ribbon!)

Hope you all have a fantastic day!  Thanks for popping by!

Birthday Bazaar!

Hello there blog friends!  How goes your week so far?  Today, I've got a fun birthday card to share for you, using the cool Chevron embossing folder and the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits.  How about my little scallop flower?  I love the smaller sized 1 1/4" scallop punch {from the Holiday Mini Catalog} that nests so perfectly to add an inner layer to my flower!  I created the flower petals by cutting towards the center of the flower at every 2 scallops.  I punched out the leaves using the Blossom Petals Builder punch.  Wanna see the rest of the card?  Here you go:
I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits as the background to my sentiment, from the Happy Hour stamp set.  And lastly, I created the scallop border at the bottom using the Large Scallop Edgelits. I had a lot of fun making this card for my good friend Robin :)  As you guys can probably tell, I'm a big fan of this color combo.  It's a change up from my regular repertoire of colors, but the Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight just pop with that happy freshness, dontcha think?

Hope you like the card!  Here's the quick recipe for you:
{Birthday Bazaar}
  • Stamp Set: Happy Hour
  • Cardstock: Pool Party, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, International Bazaar, Summer Smooches
  • Inks: Rich Razzleberry, Crumb Cake (to sponge on the edge of the leaves)
  • Accessories: Chevron Embossing Folder, Delicate Doilies Sizzlit, Large Scallop Edgelit, Blossom Petals Punch Builder, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle punch, 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punch, Boho Blossoms punch, Apothecary Accents Framelit, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Hemp Twine,
Thanks for the visit.  Have a great one!

You're {AMAZING!}

Hey there, bloggie friends! Hope you had a great Friday today! It was a busy week, but I'm starting to feel like I'm turning the corner as far as managing my time.  I'm so glad I got to stamp a little bit this week - it felt so good!  Plus, I have lots of birthday and anniversary celebrations this month, so I was motivated to create some cards with my stash of brand spankin' new Stampin'Up! goodies from the new catty!  Today's card share is a birthday card I created using the You're Amazing stamp set and the International Bazaar DSP {which is one of my faves!}. Here's a look at the full card for you:
Aren't the prints of this DSP so pretty?  The color palette I used for the card was Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and Tangerine Tango.  Such a happy and cheery color combo.  Now, how about that flower?  Truth be told, the card was basically created around this flower, since I had made it first.  I was so intrigued by Patty Bennett's video flower tutorial, that I had to give it a whirl and try to make a flower myself!  What's fun about this particular flower is that it uses one of my good ol' favorite tools - the crimper!  I had to dust mine off a bit, but I tell you, it's a great tool to have in your crafting quiver.  Here's a closer look at the flower detail for you:

Isn't it just so pretty?  All you need is the Blossom Punch, a crimper, DSP, and a brad and you're on your way!  For this flower, I used 5 punched out blossoms, but you can play around with this number based on how full you want your final paper flower to be.  Definitely worth a try!

Here's the card recipe for you:
  • Stamps: You're Amazing
  • Inks: Tangerine Tango, Crumb Cake {for the flower edges}
  • Cardstock: Pool Party, International Bazaar DSP, Whisper White
  • Accessories: Antique Brads, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack,  Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Corner Rounder punch
Hope you like the card!  Well, my friends, I appreciate you coming by today.  Have a great weekend and come back to visit soon!  :)

Ciao for now.

Blast Off!

Hello there blog friends! I've got a fun post today.  This past weekend, I created this birthday card for my Godson's 5th birthday.  I felt a little rusty putting a card together (I clearly need to craft more often!), but I had fun trying to figure out how I was going to design it.  This Blast Off set is so CUTE and great for little boy cards!  And, I have to say, I LOVE the Chevron embossing folder.  I know chevrons are all the rage right now, but it  really does make the card stock look amazing!  I also incorporated the bitty banners and super cute polka dot DSP, too.  They add such a happy element to the card, don't they?
Hope you like the card! Thanks for visiting me. Oh - and if you'd like to play along with my June Final Friday Giveaway, today is the last day to leave me a comment on this post

Have a great day!  Bye for now!

Cards with Cool Moves

Hello all...last day of the month and I wanted to share the project I created for Ustamp with Dawn and Friends Cards with Cool Moves online event!
What's cool about the projects in Cards with Cool Moves is that one of the 3 cards has some sort of dimension or "animation" to it.  Mine has a pop-up that you'll have to check out in the tutorial.  I was floored at all the super cool cards I saw from all the designers.  So inspiring!  Hope you like my little sneak.  If you'd like to check out UStamp with Dawn and Friends, feel free to hop on over here.  Enjoy!  You'll really be in for a treat!

Everyday Elegance Envie and Card

Hey there blog friends - I'm back with another post!  I had to do one last hurrah for this year's Sale-a-bration!  I just love the Everyday Elegance DSP {as you can see from my last few posts}, that it's hard to say goodbye.  So, for today's share, I'm doing one last tribute with a card and envelope I created.  These papers really are so pretty - and they go so well with this elegant bird die!  Here's a zoomed out view...
How do you like that background?  Do you recognize it?  Well, if you don't, let me introduce you to Stampin'Up!'s new diagonal plate!! I happen to be a very big fan.  I'll show you why in a sec.  But first, the full card - so you can really appreciate it..
Viola!  It's a telescoping card I created with the Labels Framelits!  The key here is that the card uses 3 panels.  On the largest panel, I matted the labels framelits, so that the sentiment is covered up by the 2nd layer.  And on the top layer, my pretty bird.  What do you think?  Hope you like it!  So now, let me share with you the fun envelopes I created.
Aren't these sooo cute!!!  I had so much fun making these on the diagonal plate.  Let me tell you about this plate - it's an awesome add on to our Simply Scored board.  As you know, the Simply scored has vertical lines on it at every 1/8" inch.  It's a great piece on it's own, although I have to say, this diagonal plate is a PERFECT companion!!  I made the 2 sizes of envelopes above, which fit a 3" x 3" inch card and a 5 1/2"x 4 1/4".   After I made a few of these, I had the epiphany of using my retired DSPs to make some fune and fabulous envies!!  That'll be my ongoing project :)

Now, don't forget that today is the LAST day of Sale-a-bration, so if you have fallen in love with this paper, it's your last chance to get it!  You can earn sale-a-bration products with every $50 of merchandise you purchase, so if you like what you see on this post, here's where you'd be:

Everyday Elegance Bird - $21.95
Labels Framelits - $26.95
Diagonal Plate - $11.95
Total (before tax and shipping) - $60.85

You can hop on over to shop on my online store anytime!

As for these projects, I'll share sometime in the next week or so, but for now, I've got to run.  Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Thanks for popping by! :)

Everyday Enchantment is for the {BIRDS}!

Hello there bloggie friends!  How's your week going?  Hope it's a good one.  You're probably wondering what I mean with my post title....well, let me tell you..or maybe my sneak peek pic above will give you a hint.  I was determined to craft today.  Besides the fact that it's been a while, I also felt the need to release some creative energy, too.  Do you guys ever have those weeks? ;)  So up to my craft studio/office I go.

I wanted to try out a couple of the new dies I got from the Occasions Mini.  Plus, I wanted to play with the pretty Everyday Enchantment DSP from the Sale-a-bration set, too.  So, I came up with this brilliant idea to die cut a bunch of birds from the Elegant Bird Bigz die {4 of them is a bunch for me!} and create some cards all in one sitting.  I was soo excited how gorgeous the birds looked in that paper!  I loved them so much that I took pictures of ALL of them to share with you guys. Are you excited?  One last thing before I start the bird parade of pics...I was happy to see that this month's So Shelli Creative Challenge is to create projects using Sale-a-bration goodies.  Woot woot!  {BTW - You should definitely play along and share your projects if you've been in a Sale-a-bration state of mind!}  Anyway, back to the bird cards - my how they look enchanting in that DSP...
Here's my first card.  For this sentiment, I used the modern label dotted outline stamp from the Tea Shoppe stamp set and the greeting from the Apothecary Art stamp set.  I have to tell you that I have always been cautious about mixing too many patterns, but I really did like the effect of these multi-patterned combos that I used from the Everyday Enchantment DSP.  I used Calypso Coral twine and topped it off with a Designer Button.

For this card, I actually embossed the DSP background using the Square Lattice Embossing folder.  Such fun texture!  How about the fun pleated ribbon?  I LOVE this accessory.  I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for my little flowers and added some dimensions to them with the Basic Pearls and then the Jumbo pearls from the Mini.

This is my second most fave card of the batch.  I experimented making the flower, which is actually the smallest flower from the Flower Folds die.  At Leadership, we got to see one technique where you basically wear down the fibers in the cardstock so that they separate from each other.  The flower you see here is actually from one flower that I peeled apart after running it through the crimper every which way to get the fibers broken down.

And last but not least...my FAVE card of the bunch.
First of all, I have to say that I was super excited that the bird's eye ended up perfectly centered in the flower print from the DSP!  That wasn't intentional, but I was happy that's how it happened to turn out! :)
Secondly, I also really LOVE how the Pool Party seam binding ribbon looks with this the pretty bird and striped DSP, topped with a button and twine.  The seam binding is such a pretty and delicate texture, it was just the right touch I was looking for.  I also love the Happiest Birthday sentiment - this is from the Apothecary Art stamp set, too!  To vintage it up a bit, I used the Tea Stain stamping spot on the edges.

Hope you liked the cards! Thanks so much for popping by today :)

{It's a Wrap!} for quick favors

Hi all!  How are you?  Hope you guys are doing well.  Last week was a busy one in the household - my brother and family were in town, so needless to say...I didn't get a chance to post!  Anyway, I did have some quiet time today and played with another fun new clear mount stamp set called It's a Wrap Occasions {#123592, $19.95} and it really makes making favors quick and easy!  Aren't those favors so cute?  The wraps fit perfect on Avery Labels {#5160} which measure 1" x 2 5/8".  They are just the right size to wrap the Hershey Nugget chocolates - now who woudn't want those yummy chocolates as favors, right??  I used the new In Colors again, too.  I can't seem to get enough of those colors!  I really love the Pool Party and Calypso Coral together, but all the colors look really good together, too, as you can see with the multi-color candies :)  Want a closer look at the favors?  Here you go:
For this "Thanks" favor, I used the Flower Folds Bigz XL die to create my flower.  I did 2 flowers and curled the petals on the bottom layer down and the top layer up using a bone folder.  For the center, I used the scallop punch to punch out the Thanks sentiment, which is from the Hostess set called Tagtastic.  Are you wondering how I got the scallop circle punch to look like that?  I notched out a small triangle in each scallop using my paper snips.  It gives it a more petal-y look, don't you think? The leaves are loops of the Lucky Limeade ruffled grosgrain ribbon - so pretty!  I used glue dots to adhere them onto the back of the flower and used dimensionals to pop them up. Oh - and of course, before I forget, the topper itself is made using a Top Note Bigz die folded in half!  I LOVE the Top Note.  It's a favorite die of mine that I keep going back to now and again!
Planning an upcoming shower?  This set has you covered too!  For this Congrats favor, I used the Decorative Label Punch and stamped the "Happy Shower" labels in Calypso Coral and Wisteria Wonder. I just finished it off with a bow using the Wisteria Wonder ribbon.
And lastly - I love these "Happy Cake Day" labels!  The design is so fun in the In Colors!  I also love the Happy Birthday sentiment stamp from Tagtastic.  It is so cute with the polar bear. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral and I also accented the topper with the Calypso Coral ribbon.  It pops so nicely against the Pool Party textured paper!

Here's a look at the full stamp set for It's a Wrap Occasions:
Such a versatile set of sentiments to wrap those yummy nuggets in!  Well, that's it for tonight, folks!  Hope you liked these!  Ciao for now :)

Edited to add the type of bag I used: they are the small flat SU! cello bags (3"x5") and you could probably fit up to 6 nuggets in them if you wanted to!
