Sending my Love

Hello my friends, thank you for having a look today.

Today’s card was worked using Bea’s cute sketch over on the Friday Sketcher blog and i was able to combine “Just Magnolia/ Just Hanglar’s” theme “Love” with both challenge sites. whoohooo :-)

Finally i got a round to use at least one image from the nautical stamp line Magnolia released with the Bon Voyage Collection. I must say those are one of my favorite stamp line… my DT kit got lost around the time those stamps came out and by the time i had them there were soooo many samples on blogs to see, that it was kind of hard to come come up with something different. Not saying that my card today is “different” :-) but sometimes if i see something really cool, it is hard to get this picture out of my head and come up with something else. I.Y.K.W.I.M :-)

One happy little boy…

Pixie_2

and Mama… got a kitten for Valentines Day :-) Meet Pixie :-) the reason why i was absent from my blog the last few days, but isn't she a beautiful reason???? Saturday we pretty much took 1 day to drive to her breeder and back one and the other days, i had to watch out for her during the time she gets used of the house and our older cat Maus and of course pet her like crazy. OMG… she is really adorable.. as soon i touch her she starts to purr so loud. My older cat never did that. I hope she stays that way. I just colored this morning a Hanglar image in and she was sitting most of the time in my lap.. was actually quite hard to focus with such a sweet distraction.Pixie_1

She is a seal color point lynx 10 weeks old female Ragdoll. incase one of you wonder. I actually wanted a blue kitten and had my name on a waiting list for her.. but when we came to pick her up – it all changed after seeing Pixie.

Claudia_Rosa_The world full of Joy_2
Speaking of happy little boys.. this one does not look too unhappy either… wonder what he is thinking about. Weeeeelll… maybe about the new forth coming stamps that Lili of the Valley is going to release soon????? Girls, i saw this morning the stamps and let me tell you they are ADORABLE! Save your pennies lol

With All My Love

Hi my friends, it’s Saturday and back with a new card :-) some might have seen this card already over on Just Magnolia ~ Just Hanglar. I made the card using Mina’s fabulous sketch. At first i must say i was kind of intimidated but once i picked my papers i enjoyed it. This Basic Grey paper pad is one of my all time favorites. There are lots of cards on my blog using this paper… mostly combined with my sweet Hanglars :-)

Claudia_Rosa_with all my love_3

So my image is this time water colored… stamped a few more out and i hope i can get them colored in this weekend and than during the week i was thinking to look for nice sketches online and just do the embellishing.

While i was trying to find how i should color her dress i opened several of my ink bottles and noticed something surprising. Usually i use Stampin up re inkers but i can not deny that i did not get infected by the Distress Ink-bug as well. Of course i had to buy several colors of the bottles too!

Claudia_Rosa_with all my love_1

But what really surprised me is that there are so many colors just identical to Stampin up colors! This yellow is Stampin up Barely Banana and it is the same color as the yellow Distress ink. HOWEVER what i like about SU collection is that they have So Saffron, YoYo Yellow, Marigold Morning and so on.. which makes it so much easier to add the shades to the clothes. I have tried several times to color faces with Vintage photo and to me it is simply a brown color. Maybe i do not dilute it enough but Stampin up’s Blush Blosson IS a nice natural skin color and so easy to use – unfortunately this color is now retired. I got the other day an extra bottle off Ebay- just in case.

Anyhow.. just wanted to give my 5 cents, and i think since i have said all that i think i need to mention that I am NOT a Stampin up Demonstrator and not affiliated with the company in any way!

Our grocery stores are huge… but yesterday all 30 check out lanes were over flowing with people and some of the shelves where even empty. I could not get out in time to pick up my kids, so today i had to go again to stock up. of course got myself some glue (tape, Aileen and Scott) just in case aim stuck here for a while and at least i can hug and play with my Copics. If you do not hear from me, you know it’s cause i am most likely with out power and freezing my behind off hahahaha. I think i have to better go to a store to get some fire wood as well.

Alright see you all soon. Hugs

Hanglar ~ Always on my mind

 Hello ladies, how are you?
Yesterday was my son’s first concert, we were so proud of him. He’s not really into singing but he did a great job. You could definitely tell that the girls are more INTO it hahahaha.

Since my crafting time was limited yesterday i just picked  a colored image with already pre cut card layers, from last year and worked a little more more shadows  in the image and finished it off with embellishments.

The pretty corners are brass but i painted them with tattered rose Distress crackle paint to match my papers.

My Heart Is Forever At Your Service.

Hi, hope you are well and have a great day.
Today i would like to show you one more card using one of the cute images Lili of the Valley is releasing today.
The stamps are up on the website for ordering now!

This cute image is called “
Teddy Romeo”.

Claudia_Rosa_Shakespears
I do not know if it really shows how big this card is (do not know the size in my head right now but if remember correct it is like 8.5 x 5 or so)… i have never made a huge card like this but i could bare to cut all those patterns down from my new My Minds Eye papers. I also can not recall the Copics i used to color the image in, i had to start twice. In my first image i colored the halo around Teddy in pink and it just did not work. In this image it is kind of like a warm grey with some hues of blue.

The card is worked using Mojo Monday’s sketch for this week.

Take Care Of Yourself

Hello my friends, thank you for swinging by and all your lovely comments.
Today i have a card to share with Lili of the Valley’s cute Fairy stamp called “Pom Pom” love this one, it works perfectly on the circle shapes and is just too sweet to use with pretty much any sentiments.

Claudia_Rosa_take care of yourself

Speaking of sentiments… on Cute Card Thursday we challenge you to pull out the “old” and give it some good use :-) I made a mix of new stuff and old… the sentiment i had for a long time and never used it as well as this Organdy ribbon with the shiny edge. No idea where it actually came from.

okay.. and the rest of the stuff is new.. :-) new stamp of course, new super pink papers from My Minds Eye new line “Tickled Pink”.  The card is worked using a sketch from Lena Katharine which she provided for the new challenge on the Lili of the Valley Challenge blog. Love it… you have to check it out and hopefully you can find some time to join us??!

 Claudia_Rosa_take care of yourself_1

Other supplies: several Nesties.. not quite sure what the names are all.. circles and scalloped circle. The shape with the blue paper – wait i looked it up, its label 16 was cut in half so i was able to use it as the “rectangular” shape underneath the circle as the sketch asked for.

Little Gift Ideas

Hi there… thanks for visiting me today.

Finally i can show you two little calendars i have made a few weeks back. The idea is completely taken from my very talented German friend Monika. She sent me in 2009 and 2010 each year one of these. The only thing she did was, to adhere the calendar sheets to the front (like were you can see my teddy) so it could sit like this through out the year on my desk.

Claudia_Rosa_Calendar_1

I thought that those tiny CD jewel cases would also make a great storage space or case to give some dies to friends.

Here i just placed a few of my Magnolia Doo Hickey dies – so you get an idea of the size. They do fit nicely, don’t they? Sweet little gift idea for a crafting friend.

Claudia_Rosa_Calendar_3

It was fairly difficult to take good photos of the holder – maybe this photo shows better how the idea works. I covered the backside of the magnetic sheet with matching Designer paper. The calendar is just with Scott double sided tape adhered, so the focal point image can be easily exchanged for Spring or Summer if my friend likes to keep this holder.

Claudia_Rosa_Calendar_2

 For the supplies:
Teddy on sled – Lili of the Valley
Snowman – Lili of the Valley

Sentiments: Whimsy Postmark stamps
Papers: Basic Grey
Dies: Marianne Design and Martha Stewart Snowflake punch, Magnolia DooHickey dies on Magnet sheets – iam using the full sheets to store all my Nestabilities on them. They are easy to cut to any size you need them.
Coloring: Copic Sketch
Aging/sponging: Vintage Photo
Magnet Sheets, little calendars, CD holders – source unknown Moni can not remember where she purchased them.

The Sweetest Day…

Hi, thanks for your visit.

Today i would love to “sneak” in a card with a floral pattern. OMG.. i must say i have kind of enough of Christmas cards :-) still a few to go, but i think for most iam good.

I love, love this cute
Lili of the Valley image. Those little girls are from the newest release – perfect for any occasion. My card has a friendship sentiment.. i had a hard time finding a nice sentiment in my collection that had the right size AND the right font. I just did not want to go too contemporary, because of the words on the top right corner of the pink paper, in case it is hard to read it says “sweetest day”.

Very Pink ….

Hi there, thanks for visiting. Today i have a really girly bag to show you :-) I just did not feel like decorating a Christmas bag… so i cut into some of my very pink Magnolia papers and went with a monochromatic project.
The project or layout was inspired by
Bev’s super sketch from last week on the Lily of the Valley Challenge blog – there is a new Challenge up today – check it out there is some fun candy to win.

I love this cute girl stamp from Lily of the Valley, so sweet and size wise those images fit nicely into the smaller Spellbinders, however i kind of had to fill out all that space on the bag (its kind of a big one) so i cut the oval shape with my new Spellbinder Grand Oval set. I used my Big Shot to cut the shape out! Of course i decorated the back side of the bag as well… i just saved my time on editing this photo as well… all it is anyways is the same layout on papers plus my circle “handmade by Claudia” image. Pretty boring and aim sure you have seen this a million times already :-)

Jolly Winter Buddies

Hello my friends, sorry for the later posting today.

Was totally missing the time… needed some inspiration for my card today. So i went and checked out this weeks challenge over on the Whiff Of Joy Challenge blog and the girls there have a really sweet sketch up to follow.

Changed the the focal point image into a oval so i was able to use this cute and fun bird image from Whiff Of Joy’s latest release.

It’s hard to tell but i used on the “buddies” feather some star dust pen to make them sparkle a bit.

Maybe something to the “technique” i use recently. I first color my halo with a grey tone around the images usually a W3 or W2 , bled a bit than i airbrush in blue over the colors. Gives it a bit more interest.. i think.. maybe just until i find something else fun to do :-)
