Valentine's Layout and Cards-New Lines from My Mind's Eye, Echo Park and Bo Bunny

Have you ever created a layout and then stepped back and thought "this is my favorite layout ever"?
Well that's what happened to me with this one.

It has a lot to do with the beautiful baby girl in the photo, of course, but also because this line by My Mind's Eye is breathtaking.  It's feminine and detailed, and has such delicate elements and design.

These beautiful chipboard banners are self adhesive and the glitter won't rub off.
I layered them for more dimension, and so I could incorporate every one on the die cut sheet.

The collection also has a beautiful brad pack, some solid colored, some with patterns, and some with die cuts attached.  They're simply beautiful.

The butterfly, date label, and the banner with the title are all from a 12x12 sticker sheet.

This is definitely a layout I'll frame and never put into an album once I get it back.
(All these projects are currently at my local scrapbook store, Heartland Paper Company).

Echo Park has a fun new Valentine's line out right now called Love Story.
It's got a great mix of lovely almost vintage looking elements mixed with bright bold colors and trendy patterns.

The cupcake and stand, heart candy, button, and flags are from the chipboard accents sheet.  It has so many more of the cutest little images, including a "sweet" banner and a darling little camera.  I'll definitely be making more with those.

All the papers on this card are from this collection except for the white cardstock with black polka dots, which is Bo Bunny Double-Dot cardstock.
The twine is Doodlebug's DoodleTwine.

And finally I made two cards with the new Love Letters line by Bo Bunny.
It's got super trendy colors that are hot right now in fashion- aqua and that cute coral-pink.

The stickers are even glittered and embellished with rhinestones.

Isn't this mailbox the CUTEST?  The little red hearts are new Heart Pearls by Doodlebug.

And here's my second card with this line.

Both of these cards were made using ONE piece of patterned paper and ONE sticker pack.
(minus the card  base).
Fun, right?  Plus there's still another sticker left to make another card with.

These dimensional cardstock stickers are darling!  And I love the little rhinestone heart.

I thought this sticker would make a cute postage stamp :)
I just love it.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope you "loved" my projects ;)
Now I'm off to finish MORE fun Valentines projects you'll get to see in the coming weeks!

Countdown!

Lifestyle Crafts newest release of cutting dies debuted today on the L Blog
This release is all about party planing, celebration, and fun!

Here are some of the projects I created using this new release:

Patterned paper by Bo Bunny

Recognize this?  Here's the full view of my layout.  Isn't the paper divine?  The black velvet chenille paper is Doodlebug and the other papers are Making Memories and Best Creation.  I even made more of my own custom paper to match using the L Letterpress, Damask printing plates, and silver letterpress ink.

For Time and All Eternity
The pearls are Prima and the tulle flowers are Making Memories.
The clock die is my favorite of this new release.  Here I cut it using vellum.

And this is an "Edge It's" die.

The Labels die makes it fun and easy for you to create custom party favors and labels for anything.  Here I used the labels die on this bottle, and also on.....
This card.  The labels have die-cut slits in the side to slide through ribbon.
This card also features the L Letterpress and the Damask and Flourish printing plates and black and silver ink.
As always, you can get 20% off your entire order with the code: RHINESTONES at checkout from the

Glittered Spiderweb Tutorial

Here are two more fun Halloween treat holders for you.

I wanted to share with you today another fun tip-
this one is how to add the chunky glitter on the spiderweb die cut (or any die cut).
These and my other Halloween bags and boxes can be seen on the Lifestyle Crafts blog today.

See how "super-glittery" this spiderweb is?  I love die-cutting glittered cardstock- but this time I used another technique.
First- I die cut the spiderweb using basic black cardstock.  Then, I ran it through my Xyron 5" Creative Station Machine using the permanent adhesive roll. (this is really a cool tool for quickly and painlessly covering die cuts like this one- with lots of tiny skinny elements-  in a complete layer of adhesive)
run it through (you just turn the handle) and it comes out the back like this:
Peel off both sides of the xyron paper.
The adhesive is now covering the entire die cut.  Then just remove any adhesive sheet material that's in between the spiderweb by poking with a piercing tool.  It's super fast and easy and just pulls off.
(see my green Cricut "poking tool"?  It's got a bit of adhesive on it that I pulled off.  You just poke between each part of the spider web until it's all gone.
Now the adhesive should just be on the paper and no where else.
Then... I love using "Tidy Trays" for things like glitter, embossing powder, etc that you want to use on a project but not waste a bit of.  I have several sizes of trays, and should have used a bigger one for this, but this worked pretty well.  These trays like to have static, so use an "embossing buddy" and rub the inside of the tray to reduce static.
Then place your die-cut over the tidy tray and with the adhesive side up, pour your glitter all over the entire die cut.  Let the extra glitter fall into the Tidy Tray.
After the entire image is covered, turn the die-cut upside down and tap it to loosen any extra glitter into the tray. (see what I mean by needing to use the bigger size tray?  :)  lesson learned)
Now you can use the Tidy Tray to pour the extra glitter back into the bottle!
This used very little glitter.  My bottle was full again when I was done.
Now you've got a beautiful die cut, covered in chunky glitter!

I've had so much fun playing with
"Monster Mania"!
It just might take "Nifty Notions" place as my favorite paper line.

Everyone who knows me well knows that Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I've been wanting to do a mini-album for a long time for my kids to look at and remember their costumes from year to year.  They had a lot of fun tonight looking at it, and so did my husband.
And look who made the front cover!  My favorite blue monster!  Right where he belongs :)
