Five Things I Learnt On The Road Last Year...

I recently found some notes I'd been making on a piece of paper in the car, along the theme of five things that had become clear to me while living on the road for the MAJORITY of last year, while travelling, moving, darting in and out of places and houses and venues and lives...I thought I'd share these observations here with y'all today...

*'Nothing is Definite Until it is Done' - along our travels we meet people telling us about all kinds of projects, ideas and suggestions that they think are 'definitely' going to happen: books they are writing, new businesses they are 'definitely' going to do, websites they will have ready 'next week' and any number of other things that they are certain are going to unfold...in my experience, nothing is definite until it is actually done...so I tend to receive all this kind of information with an open, supportive heart and an awareness that things may actually unfold in another way than is being foretold... ;) There are so many myriad possibilities for outcomes and we all have a choice in every single moment, so thinking that things are 'definitely' going to happen can seem, to me, a little like openly tempting the 'trickster' energy to rise up and meet the path... ;)

on January the 20th I enjoyed:

1 quart water
2 tbsp YUMMY bee pollen
2 cups greeeeeeeen juice
bowl of blended chia yum: blended together green apples, sprouted chia flour, acai powder, maca, spirulina
1 quart water
3 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
1 cup greeeeeen juice
4 tbsp acai powder
2 cups water

*'Don't Take Anything Personally' - I've mentioned this one before, with major kudos to Don Miguel Ruiz (The Four Agreements) - and it is such a powerful theme for me that it comes up here again. Living and sharing life 'in public' can create situations where energies that seem other-than-supportive seem to be directed towards us. The key to finding peace in these situations, for me, centres around stepping away from taking any of this energy flow personally. I send love to anyone who seems to be acting out in a way that seems other-than-congruent with universal unconditional love and compassion... Sending people love, compassion and healing energy seems to be the best I can do to shift the energy in these situations.

*Breathe Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep - my first action in any situation that feels challenging is to breathe deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep...this feels calming, healing, empowering and is the quickest way for me to reconnect to source, besides which it is also free and easy to do... ;)

on January the 21st I loved:

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeeen juice
bowl of blended chia yum: blended together green apples, sprouted chia flour, acai powder, maca, spirulina
2 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
3 cups water
2 cups greeeeeen juice
4 tbsp acai powder, handful of *amazing* new Hunza dried apricot pieces - WOW :)
2 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups water

on January the 22nd I was delighted with:

1 quart water
3 cups greeeeeeen juice
bowl of blended chia yum: blended together green apples, sprouted chia flour, acai powder, maca, spirulina, sprinkled some ground pumpkin seeds on top
2 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
3 cups water
1 cup greeeeen juice
4 tbsp acai powder, little handful Hunza dried apricots
2 cups reishi/shilajit/ormus tea
2 cups water

*Leafy Greens, Seaweeds, Sprouts - for me, these are the three basic food components to concentrate on ingesting daily, to feel healthy, balanced and consistently great. Naturally I consume other things alongside these three - these are just the BASICS to make sure I am getting into my body, in some form, every day... ;)

*Emanating Love to All - many people we come across seem to be carrying a 'pain body' with them to some degree or another...they WANT love, acceptance and to feel happy and yet they may speak and act out in a way that seems to suggest otherwise ;) In my experience, the more I am willing to extend a space of love, compassion and acceptance to everyone, the more easily my own life experience seems to flow...whereas resistance to any energy flow seems to escalate apparent challenges...after all, what we resist, persists ;)
I believe that anyone can hold a healing space of love open towards another being, IF they are willing to do so - it often comes down to a balancing game of pain bodies; who is willing to step up into the light of love, compassion and grace and hold a gentle space open for mutual healing...? Is it going to be an endless, morbid battle of 'my pain body is bigger than yours', or are you willing to step up, listen with compassion to others and spread the love...? ;)

All blessings to you all...

The Biggest Flares in the Business ;)

OooOooooo, I'm so happy, I found a GREAT new (to me), free online inspiring resource to tune into while I'm doing 'mindless' work on the 'puter – it's called the Conscious Media Network and they have a BIG archive of old interviews going back to 2005, with all kinds of people on all kinds of intriguing topics, from spirituality and 2012, to love and relationships, energy healing, alternative therapies, astrology, prophecies, reincarnation and much more...I even found an old interview with David Wolfe on there, from January 2008 ;) You can visit their archive HERE and enjoy... ;)

on November the 5th I was blissed with:

OMGODDESS, I am absolutely LOVING my new hemp flares from Texture Clothing. I first bought a hemp 'market' skirt from Texture a few years back at a Green Fest show and have probably worn it about half the time ever since then ;) Recently they brought out a new line of BEAUTIFUL hemp/organic cotton flared trousers with the tag line 'Good Luck Finding This Kind of Flare Elsewhere…' ;)
Now, I am an eco–flares aficionado and I will confirm these are indeed the yummiest hemp trousers I've met in a long time – these gals just make clothes that fit GREAT :) Love them...you can check out the Texture collection at www.textureclothing.com and I hope you enjoy their wonderful creations as much as I do :)

on November the 6th I loved:

1 quart water
2 goji juice with Marine Phytoplankton and Merlin's Elixir
2 cups greeeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, spinach, parsley, lemon, ginger
2 Tbsp bee pollen, 3 tsbp spirulina crunchies
1 quart water
raw dinner party/potluck meal: creamy soup followed by zucchini pasta and salad, rounded off with a plate of amazing dessert samples, including raw chocolates – eeeeeeeeeeeeek ;)
mug of peppermint sun–tea
3 cups water

on November the 7th I appreciated:

1 quart water
2 cups greeeeen juice: celery, cucumber, spinach, parsley, lemon, ginger
plate of party leftovers: salad/pasta/sauce, followed by some apple–flax dessert
1 quart water
25 chlorella tablets
rest of leftover apple–flax meal with a fresh apple
3 cups water

Upcoming FUN Anastasia–inspired events in Europe:

Mmmmm, if you're tuned into the Anastasia/Ringing Cedars of Russia books already, you'll hopefully feel them as a huge inspiration in your life, just as I do :)
On November the 17th, Dr. Leonid Sharashkin, the translator of the books from Russian into English, is giving a talk in Brighton, England on this amazing series of books that are inspiring such shifts in consciousness and action, all over the world... Dr. Leo will be speaking for ONE NIGHT ONLY, at the Friend's Meeting House...this event is very likely to sell out fast, so if you'd love to be there, you can secure your ticket online HERE: www.ringingcedars.co.uk/workshops
They have also just announced a second two–day workshop in London with Dr. Leo, on Nov 19th–20th, as the first workshop sold out – see that same site for more info ;)

Three new pilgrimages to the sacred Dolmen sites of Russia have also just been announced, for 2010. The three tours will be in April, May and September 2010 and all the details are HERE: http://www.spaceoflove.com/dolm_tour.htm.
...and if somehow you are not tuned–in yet to the amazing Anastasia books and you're wondering what this is all about, you can see the books HERE – nothing has inspired me more in recent years than these books ;)

ENJOY :)

If you didn't see that and would like to check out the action, you can watch it HERE, to find out which kinds of plants he's been growing on his properties, hear how we all met up in Vilcabamba and even maybe learn how to reverse male pattern baldness – lol ;) It's 63 mins long – enjoy ;)

I would love to introduce you, if I may, to the wonderful world of Ms. Michelle Sabathne...if you are not yet familiar with this wonderful raw goddess, I strongly recommend jumping over to her ’Becoming Younger’ blog HERE.
If Michelle’s name already sounds familiar to you, that might be because she was the editor for both of Mr. Monarch’s books, or because she hosted a ‘Juice Feasting’ series of conference calls with me after my 92-day Feast, or because she’s been on The Raw Food World TV show a few times already, or because she is one of the phone angels at The Raw Food World...she is a woman of MANY talents ;)
Michelle has been 100% raw for many years and has a raw–markable story of recovery from her ‘death–bed’ with raw foods, guided by Spirit.
Like Mr. M, madame Sabathne is also very inspired by the writings of Dr. Norman Walker and a couple of months ago she started her wonderful ‘Becoming Younger’ blog, in which she documents her daily food intake, relating it to Walker’s recommendations, plus shares her beautiful life insights, journey, feelings and experiences.
Michelle will also be holding a workshop on relationships at the Raw Union Festival, plus helping lead the women’s sacred song circle on the Saturday evening – she is a wonderful singer with a rich background in women’s singing groups – love it :)
Michelle is one of the most heart–centred, loving, clear, generous people I’ve met, with an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile and a passionate love for life...she’s a true goddess and I thoroughly recommend checking out her insightful musings...you can even sign up on her site to receive her blogs by email whenever she posts smthg new – see BecomingYounger.blogspot.com and ENJOY :)

Earth Day, Ecuador, Eco-Tours and Eyeball Treats... ;)

Happy Earth Day Everyone :)
We love you Mama Earth <3

On the subject of connecting more directly with our beloved Earth, SO many people have been writing in recently requesting more details abt the community and lifestyle that is arising in Vilcabamba, Ecuador (our future home) and I’m delighted to say that the marvellous Mr. Mike Adams over at NaturalNews.com has a few wonderful new resources to share on this subject.
He will be holding a Vilcabamba real estate tour in June, preceded by an 'Ancient Cities of the Sun' adventure tour. He will also soon be posting "The Immigration & Traveler's Guide to Southern Ecuador" - yeeeeeee-HAH, that's definitely going to make my life easier :) I'll aim to let y'all know when that's ready, if you're not already subscribed to his site ;)
Another member of the Vilcabamba community, Patrick, has made a lovely little 'Valley of Longevity' website with lots of info about the area, longevity, health and resources. You can check that out HERE (apparently Patrick is 80-years-old - WOW ;O...).
We hope to see you all there in Vilcabamba, in May 2010 for the Raw Food World Conference ;)

The beautiful blossoms of Portland :)

Many trees in Portland seem to have adapted to powerlines in their paths by growing out to each side - I've never seen this anywhere else before...interesting... ;)

This is what your footprints look like if you wear Vibram FiveFingers Shoes :) Love it ;)

Mr. Monarch bouncing and speaking at our event in Reno.

I’m feeling SO excited about the Funky Raw Festie in Sussex this weekend – just about to head off there very soon as I write this...and reflecting on the beautiful synchronicity that it’s coinciding with a Full Moon in Aquarius tomorrow, on Saturday – how IDEAL :) We’re just coming out of a New Moon in Leo and here’s some of what marvellous astrologer Lisa Dale Miller shares about this Full Moon tomorrow:

“This is the Full Moon for involvement in something larger than you. Remember that Aquarius rules the breakdown of the old ways by questioning the status quo. Those who create revolutionary change in societies are always the ones who can vision far beyond accepted beliefs and structures. Step fully into a commitment to teach and serve by breaking down the attraction to focusing only on your own life. Selfless giving to others is a true Aquarian vision of working for the collective upliftment of all sentient beings. This is the Full Moon to honor freedom, idealism, humanitarianism, egalitarianism, and the revolutionary impulse toward reform, without causing harm to anyone. Aquarius is the impulse to raise-up everyone and leave no one behind. So in service to these calls to action, become responsible and find out what is really happening around you. Get involved in your community, volunteer your time, and raise awareness in your neighborhood. It’s summer, have a block party and raise funds for a good cause.”

Sounds wonderful – enjoy your celebrations, brothers and sisters :) You can read Lisa's report in full on her site HERE.

This quote from Kahlil Gibran arrived in my inbox today from the ever-delicious ThinkArete.com free email service – love it:

“ "You are good when you strive to give of yourself. Yet you are not evil when you seek gain for yourself. For when you strive for gain you are but a root that clings to the earth and sucks at her breast. Surely the fruit cannot say to the root, 'Be like me, ripe and full and ever giving of your abundance.' For to the fruit giving is a need as receiving is a need to the root."
~ Kahlil Gibran, 20th century Syrian-born mystic poet, philosopher, and artist from The Prophet

How amazing is that?!?

Remember we need roots to bear fruit.”

That really spoke to me today and I wanted to share ;) You can sign up for these beautiful, inspiring, uplifting, free daily emails at thinkarete.com (if you haven’t already ;) – ENJOY :)

Awwwww, just HAD to share this gorgeous pic of Brighton-based, 5-year-old wonder-boy Jem, who recently delivered this classic comment about the upcoming Funky Raw/Space of Love Festie in Sussex:

‘I think there should be a Funky Raw Festival for only people who are NOT raw because they will learn how yummy the food is.’

BEAUTIFUL :) Well, for now, for those of you who ARE raw and would still like to go and play at the festie, you can see all the details on their site HERE... ‘3 days of scrummy and nourishing ‘all raw’ food, Yoga, Massage, Healing, Sweatlodge, Raw Goddess Burlesque, live music and more, as well as Sparkle and her magical yurt full of treasures and surprises to entertain children, both young and adult.’ Sounds sublime...maybe you’ll even have the pleasure of inviting a ‘non-raw’ person to join in the fun there ;) LOL...

Free 21-Page Raw Lifestyle Guide... :)

OooOooOoooo, I have a very exciting free gift for you today :) It’s a 21-page up-to-date, worldwide list of raw food restaurants, eateries and contacts. NICE :) It is lovingly compiled and care-taken by John McCabe of SunfoodLiving.com and I think it is a BEAUTIFUL offering to the world :) I’ve set it up so that you can download it for free as a word document from my site, from HERE. You’ll see the link in the second paragraph on that page.
This list is AMAZING – it's not 'just' raw food resources – it also has info on all kinds of ‘green lifestyle’ websites and contacts – composting, green energy, foraging, tree planting, gardening, biking, community living, yoga and masses more. You’re also welcome to send in updates for the list.
THANK YOU, Mr. McCabe and...ENJOY :)

on July the 10th I had:

1 quart water
mug of lime/mint tea
handful of trail mix – goji berries, almonds, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts
3 cups water
mug of peppermint tea
2 yellow bell peppers, little box of cherry tomatoes = YUMMMMMM
2 cups water
2 cups green juice: cucumber, celery, parsley, tatsoi, kale, sprouts, sunflower greens, endive, fennel, ginger, lime

3 cups water

WOW, it’s absolutely AMAZING to me how sweeeeeeeeeeeet foods like tomatoes, bell peppers and okra taste to me, now that I’ve been off ‘fruit’ for so long...it must be about a month by now that I’ve been eating this way...and I’m feeling great. I grabbed a snack of some peppers and tomatoes for lunch on this day and it was just PHENOMENAL to me how sweet and delicious they tasted. As for OKRA – WOOOOOOOOOOOW :))))) Astonishingly, I have actually never knowingly had okra before (perhaps I somehow had it ‘slipped’ into some meal, without my knowing). I LOVE it. I am not sure how I came to be nearly 30 years old and have never once eaten this amazing food before...lol...I definitely would love to be eating more of it in the future – sweet, mild and crunchy, with a slightly ‘slimy’, soft inside...mmmmmmm...VERY interesting new find...we’ve been talking of cutting some open and serving them ‘stuffed’ with a dip of some kind...yummmmm...

Brighton ROCKS :)))

I had SUCH a beautiful experience on Brighton beach today, which I would love to share.
It was the first time I’ve been to the beach since I got back to the UK. As perhaps you may be aware, this is not a sandy beach – it’s all pebbles. As I stepped out onto the rocks, a HUGE smile spontaneously spread across my face and is actually still with me as I write this. Something about Brighton beach just really seems to resonate for me... I had a very moving experience here on my ‘spiritual’ path a couple of years back, which I’ll write more about further down the page... My mother’s side of the family is from here and this place holds a lot of energy for me... I love how so many people all sit on the beach, facing out to sea – they rarely face other directions – it’s like a collective meditation out to the ocean... I laid down on the pebbles this afternoon and tuned into the energy of the place through my whole chakra system; yummy, relaxing energy flowed through me. After a while I sat up and looked around at all the stones around me. I thought to myself, ‘mmmm, I’d like to bring one of you with me, to carry this energy on my journey’, then I wondered how I would recognise such a stone in my collection – I have many stones from many places and the stones from Brighton beach are relatively plain – how would I tell it apart from others in years to come? Right then, my hand reached out and picked up the first stone I laid eyes on. I turned it over and right there, etched into the surface, was the word ‘Brighton’ (see pic - hope you can kind of make it out - my usual camera is on holiday at the moment ;).

:O :O :O .WOW.

Have NO doubt that the universe hears and responds to our every thought... What a BEAUTIFUL gift – of all the millions of stones on the beach, that was the one I was shown to pick up... I have no idea how it came to be etched with the name of this city...perhaps there are many more like this ;) LOL...maybe it’s a city policy now in fact, to stamp all the beach stones, so that people like me don’t come along and make off with them all ;) LOL...I really don’t know...in any event, I really appreciated it as a sweet gesture and affirmation from the Universe... Ever-more encouragement to keep my thoughts tuned to love and gratitude ;)

on May the 31st I had:

1 quart water
3 cups watermelon juice
1.5 cups green juice: celery/cucumber/endive/radish/spinach/ carrot juice
1lb yummy cherries
2 cups water
little gorgeous nugget of Kate Magic goji cake with a little bowl of super-fuel: green powder, hemp seeds, yacon syrup, maca = YUM
3 cups water
cup of pau d’arco tea
1.5 cups green juice: celery/cucumber/endive/radish/spinach/ carrot juice
½ a sublime papaya
2 cups water

Ok, so here’s smthg I wrote a while back about another very moving experience I had on Brighton beach back in summer 2005, while I was helping out at ‘Raw Living’...

“After another whirlwind day with Raw Living, I felt over-stimulated on super-fast energy and a great need to get out of the house and down to the beach. I went there and reached out to the sea and stones to help me ease the intensity I was feeling in my life. I laid down on the pebble beach and released my chakras to the stones and the sky. Something amazing started to happen. A huge amount of energy began to be sent into my being, through my third eye chakra. It came in waves, pulsating into my being, crashing into and onto and through me like the waves of the sea were crashing onto the shore below me. It was an extremely intense experience, yet liberating too and would be the start of a greatly increased connection for me with my energy body. I stayed there, letting the waves flow into my being, for quite some time, exploring this new sensation. When it became too cold to remain there on the beach, I headed home again in a new altered state. I was blown away by the intensity of this new feeling and unsure what to do with it…it was a little hard to even explain what had happened to Kate when I got home…
In the days that followed, the energy kept on coming into my body, with the same intensity and it was a challenging time for me. I simply didn’t know what to do with it all back then…I felt very ungrounded and this powerful force was crashing continually into and through my body. It felt something like being continually electrocuted for a few days. I was very unbalanced with it and needed guidance. I asked my older 'fairy godmother' friend for guidance and she helped me understand that it was a Kundalini awakening – a new level of energy being opened to me and I needed to integrate it and learn to ground it, to feel more at ease. I needed to allow it to become a whole body experience – allow the energy to flow through my whole being as it came in, rather than it just bounding into me and my system kind of freaking as it didn’t yet know how to handle it. This was what I needed to know and as I worked with those principles, it did indeed become a more integrated and whole-body experience. Rather than it feeling like my energy field was being boomed apart by the waves, it started to feel like an amazing and hugely enriching experience. The energy flowed now in through my third eye chakra and dissipated through my whole system. Other dramatic events of that time also conspired to help me learn to access and ground greater energies...”

I LOVE BRIGHTON :)))

on June the 1st I had:

1 quart water
1 cup pau d’arco tea
3 cups celery/cucumber/spinach/watercress/ginger/apple juice
1lb cherries
yummy little meal of hemp seed/flax oil/Himalayan salt/kelp powder mixture stuffed in nori rolls with mixed sprouts & spinach leaves
3 cups water
3 cups celery/cucumber/spinach/lettuce/watercress/ginger/apple juice
½ a delicious large papaya
2 cups water

I also love the raw community that is manifesting around Brighton. There are SO many incredible, vibrant beings here, sharing raw fun and creating beautiful things. I was at a raw potluck last week and as I looked round the room at the attendees, I was just awestruck at all the wonderful things everyone is manifesting...here are just some of the raw-friendly businesses in this area (in alphabetical order ;) :

*Hunab Ku – Twinkle and Lucifer’s ‘Portal to the Immortal’ – they are also helping organise a retreat with David Wolfe later this year...

*Raw Chocolate Company – Linus’ phenomenal big-scale project to bring raw chocolate to the masses :)

*Raw Gaia – Lisa and Hector’s GORGEOUS line of raw skin-care products – NOTHING compares ;)

*Raw Kitchen – the uber-lovely Shell’s site with recipes, raw catering services and more...

*Raw Living – Kate’s magical long-standing website with store, books, recipes etc.

*Space of Love – as mentioned recently – Matt (and Lara’s ;) site for the festie in August (plus the Anastasia books).

*Total Raw Food – newlyweds Jess and Tom’s vibrant online store, with articles, recipes and more.

Are there more that I’ve missed...? Probably – I’m sure someone will remind me if there is ;) ...and these are just the people who are ‘officially’ doing raw things here – there are so many more magical raw beings around here involved in this scene...what a blessing :)
Incidentally, Kate Magic also wrote a very sweet MySpace blog this week about how much she also loves Brighton – CLICK HERE to see more ;)

All love,
Angela. xxx
