So we have this scooter....
this is our friend Blake on the scooter
It's a real hog. Can't you tell?
So laugh as you might, this scooter was free baby. Free, as is free-ninety nine. It gets 70 miles to the gallon (now you're jealous) and we can park it an where there is a cross hatch. We got it from a family friend of the Olzack's. It hadn't run in years and she said if you can get it to work you can have it. Fortunately Ryan and his dad love fixing up motorcycles so with a little cleaning and fixin' it was running again and we brought it up to Rexburg with us after we got married. Now the winters in Rexburg are brutal and icy so during the winter we put the scooter in storage. It has been so nice lately we decided to pull it out and start riding it again. Well usually you would have to buy a new battery but we decided to buy a battery charger and charged that little battery up. Well funny thing is we charged the battery and then forgot to put it back in the scooter and then rode it around for days! How? we have no idea.
I rode the scooter up to campus on Friday because there is no where to park on my side of campus. Well when I was about to head home the scooter wouldn't start up, even with kick starting it. I could not figure out what was wrong. I called Ryan about 7 times and could not get a hold of him. So I started walking home, with the scooter. Finally Ryan called me back and came to rescue me with the battery. We put it in and this little guy was running like a champ. Kinda weird, hun? So I guess we did get lucky on St. Patrick's day because the scooter ran when it shouldn't have.
This week we also got new tires for my bike
and made a new friend while we were waiting for them to be installed.
Ryan took me to see Tangled at the cheap theaters. It was funny and I loved it.
We put away our Sorels (hopefully until next fall)
and I received my graduation announcements
which kind of feels like doing wedding announcements all over again, except fortunately there are less
Ryan is speaking in church tomorrow so I should probably go help him with that.
