Congratulations on your new home | Card

Hello friends,
This is my second post for the day. I shared a CAS card in my previous post which you can check out HERE. I love making cards for house-warming and the Winnie and Walter Our Town set is my all time favourite to create cards for this occasion.  This is a very versatile set and has so many possibilities. Here's a look at my card :

I have tried to create a mini scene on my card. I started by first stamping the houses from the Winnie and Walter Our Town set in grey using the Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. I then stamped one of the houses in red to make it stand against the grey background.

Next, I popped two of the houses using foam tape for dimension. I then stamped the little clouds, sun and two trees on either side of the red house and red hearts using various dye inks. The yellow birds are a part of the Winnie and Walter Comfort + Joy set.  I also wanted my houses to have a bit of grounding, so I stamped the little pebbles using the same grey ink.

The sentiment has been masked from two different sets. The 'congratulations on your' is from a Papertrey Ink stamp set and the 'home' is from the Winnie and Walter Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs set. I added some diagonal grey Washi Tape to complete my card.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges :

I hope you liked my card. I would love to hear your comments/suggestions on it. They always make my day :)

Thank you so much for dropping by!

Home Background Builder | Card

Hi friends!
I have my last card to share which I made for the Winnie & Walter Birthday Celebrations Challenges. I had a really good time playing along their challenges. Here's a look at my card for today :

The colours look quite better in real. Anyhow, for this card I used the Winnie and Walter- Our Town set to create that house background repeatedly. I really love this set a lot, it has such cute elements for creating scenes. I have used various brands of inks here and don't really remember which ones I used, but if you are interested in knowing any particular ink, I will let you know :) The sentiment comes from the Happiest of Holidays by Evelin T Designs, another favourite set of mine! I added a scalloped die-cut frame to complete the look and few Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I will be entering my card in the following W & W challenges :
Pattern-Making Challenge with Mayuri
Sequin Challenge with Kate
Bright Colours Challenge with Lydia
Mood Board Challenge with Heather P (I have been inspired by the yellow, blue and the white colours from the Mood Board)

I hope you liked my card! I would love to hear what you think.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Masculine Card

Hello, everyone!
I'm back with a card which is quite different from my usual style.  I made a masculine card after a long time & really enjoyed the creative process. Here's a look at my card :

This card was rather easy to put together and that might sound a bit weird as masculine cards are always difficult to make, but the Papericious Gentleman Paper Pack & Mudra DAD set are just the perfect match to make such cards :)

To create this card, I first took an A2 red colored card base and die-cut a frame using the Argyle pattern Paper from the Gentleman Pack which was slightly smaller than my base. Then, I took another paper from the same collection and again die-cut a frame smaller than my previous card front and foam mounted it for dimension.
The white card panel was also die-cut using a Stitched Rectangles die & I have stamped the moustache, the glasses, the bow-tie and the sentiment from the Mudra Dad set.
For the hat, I have done paper-piecing on the band of it using a pattern paper from the Papericious - The Gentleman pack. Finally added some googly eyes to create some fun interest to my card and stamped the sentiment on a white banner which was slightly distressed using Hickory Smoke Distress ink.

Linked this up in the Star Stampz - Add a sentiment, Addicted to Stamps and More- Anything Goes, Word Art Wednesdays- Anything Goes, Stampin' Royalty- Anything Goes and Crafty Hazelnuts- Anything Goes with Patterned paper.

I hope you like this card of mine. As I mentioned earlier, it's quite different from my usual style, so it was really nice to create one after a long time :) I would love to read your comment/suggestions regarding it.

Have a nice day everyone.

Winnie and Walter 2nd Birthday Bash!

Hello friends,
I have a card to share today and this was made for the challenges that are taking place at the Winnie and Walter blog for their second birthday bash. There are a couple of fun challenges there and I have chosen to play along with a few :) Here's a look at my card first :

I created this card based on color challenge put by Heather P. The colors she chose for her challenge theme are so my kind of colors that I just had to play along with  it :)
To make my card, I have used the W&W Thanks die and their floral stamp sets In Bloom: Anna's Flora, In Bloom : Elsa's Flora and In Bloom : Hollie's Festive florals. The stamped sentiment is from The Big, the Bold and You set also from Winnie and Walter.
I have colored the flowers and leaves using a few of PTI inks and Distress inks ..For the chartreuse green and aqua color, I have used the PTI dye inks the coral is from Hero Arts Peach ink and Abandoned Coral Distress ink.
I have very lighty colored my card base using Cracked Pistachio Distress ink and put some gold splatters using Heidi Swapp Color Shine Gold mist.
Used a gold glitter washi on the side of my card to finish it up.

I am entering this card for the following challenges :
Winnie and Walter - Color challenge with Heather P
Winnie and Walter- Floral challenge with Lydia

Peek -a- boo Tic Tac Toe challenge (I've chosen the grid line -Flowers, Gold and Heat embossing)

Background Building- Thanks Card

Hello everyone!
I am on a card making spree these days and I have two cards to share today which I'll be posting in two separate blog posts. These cards are again created for the World Card Making Day celebration challenges at Winnie and Walter. I absolutely LOVE this company and I have really enjoyed using their stamps and dies in several of my cards.
Here's a look at my first card for today :

I created this card keeping in mind Shay's Background Building challenge. W & W has such great sentiment stamps and I really love using it to create my background as well as the main focal of my card. Their The Big, the Bold and Extras is one of my favorite stamp set and now that I have it's coordinating die, it's a win-win situation for me. :D
The black 'thanks' has been stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut and mounted on foam dots, so are the flowers and leaves. I stamped the background using Hero Arts Soft Granite ink. The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'm entering this in the Background  Building Challenge and BGC- Anything goes.
Hope you like my card. Please do drop in your comments/suggestions. I love hearing from you.

Have a nice day everyone!

Pattern Play -You are awesome

Hi friends,
In the series of my WCMD frenzy, here is another card I created based on Pattern play with Shay at the W & W blog. They are running a couple of challenges till Saturday for the WCMD. How fun is that ?
Here's a look at what I have created :
To make this card, I just played around with my Bo Bunny stamp set and my Hero Arts shadow inks. The stamp set  has a lot of geometric shapes and I was leaning more towards creating hexagons and arrows for my background but after trying out various combo's, I finally settled with the black stripes and triangles ..Actually, it was the feather die cut which clinched the deal for me :) It just sat so beautifully against all that stamped triangles ...But I have to confess, it was really hard for me to use this diecut. I have been hoarding it for like ages now  and now finally got a chance to use it ..Sigh !! A few sequins and pearls finished the card. On the bottom of the feather, I did some detailing using Platinum Stickles and I was all done.
Please do forgive my stamping Boo boo's. I am not very good with stamping yet and have quite a bit of shaky hands :( I seem to have messed up my bottom triangle !..Argh !!

View of the card while laying down :

Well that's it from my end ..Hope you like my card and do let me know your views. Would love to have your feed back regarding it.

World Card Making Day - Camera trend !

Hi Friends,
Wishing you all a very happy card making day. I know I am a day late but hey, it's  still 4th of October somewhere in the globe :)
My whole dashboard is filled with WCMD fun and exciting challenges and activities.and I just HAD to participate in a few of those challenges. :D
Winnie & Walter are hosting a set of six challenges which will run throughout the week and I have picked up the camera trend challenge hosted by the incredibly talented, Lea Lawson to play along.
Here's a look at my take on the challenge :

I found a totally fabulous tutorial on Pinterest on how to create a camera using the WRMK Envelope Punch Board and using the basic premise of that, I created this camera embellishment on my card. Then, using some Hero Arts Shadow Inks- Butter Bar and Soft Granite, I stamped the Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine camera from the set to create my border background. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC stamp set. I have used some Studio Calico Stars Wood Veneers which have been coated with some Platinum Stickles and some black thread to create the loop.

Supplies used :
Card base- Fabriano Elle Erre.
Pattern papers- My Minds Eye On the Bright side paper pad.
Stamps -Pink Paislee Hello Sunshine stamp and die set, Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC stamp set.
Inks- Versafine Onyx Black ink pad, Hero Arts Shadow Inks- Butter Bar and Soft Granite.
Punches- Various sizes of circle punches and 3 in 1 heart punch. These are all from a company called Jef.
Splatters are created using dark blue acrylic paint, Studio Calico Stars Wood Veneers.

Challenge entered :
Thats Crafty! Challenge blog -Keep it simple
The Crafter's Cafe -Uses punches/die cuts. I have used three different sizes of circle punches to make the camera and the hearts are punch outs too.
Little Red Wagon -In stitches ( I have used faux stitching) - Featured fave!
Fan-Tastic Tuesday- Use Camera/ Spotlighting- Made it to the Top 3 !

Well that's it from me ...Hope you like my card ..Do let me know your views regarding it :)

Coffee Lover's blog hop !!

Hello everyone! :)
Today, I am participating in a very fun blog hop called the Coffeee Lover's Blog Hop hosted by Chaitali of Cuts, Crops & Creativity. It's for all the coffee lover's out there as today is celebrated as National Coffee day!
I am an ardent fan of coffee and truly addicted to it. In India especially the southern part, coffee is a staple beverage and I have been born and brought there. So my love for coffee really originated from there. I love love love the South Indian Filter coffee, the aroma and the taste is something one just has to experience to appreciate it ..Truly !!

Okay besides my ramblings about coffeee there is a fun Q & A added to make this hop more fun and it goes like this :-
1. When did you start drinking coffee??
A. I guess at quite an young age probably as a teenager.

2. What is your favorite brand ?
A. I have two brands that I am crazy about one is from South India and its called BRU and the other is Nescafe.

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?
Like I have said already, my best memories of good coffee all originate from South India so it has to be filter coffee. :)

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee...
A. Well, my day is miserable and I turn completely morose and anti social :D

Ahh ! After this long post, here's a look at what I have created for this hop :

My card is pretty simple!  I have used my very new Fiskars Latte Love stamp set to create  this card. For my background, the upper dots background is done with a Heidi Swapp stencil. I have sponged in Tumbled glass Distress ink through the dot stencil and for the lower part of my background, I stamped a gingham pattern using the Kaisercraft texture stamp using Hero Arts Fresh Peach Mid-tone shadow ink. The coffee cups ate stamped, colored and fussy cut then mounted on foam bits. The sentiment is stamped on a diecut which I have cut off from one side then colored a white cardstock using Fired brick Distress ink and punched them out using a small three in one heart punch.

To finish off my card, I have added a bit of  Platinum Stickles and Glossy accents to my steam and the hearts to make them pop.

Challenges entered :
  2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hope you like my card! Please let me know your views regarding it.
Have a nice day everyone!
