Black & Gold | CAS Card

Hi, everyone!
I finally got some time to share my cards which I made for Mudra last month. There are lots of awesome stamps which were released and here's my card using one of them. This set was designed by a very close friend, Ruchi of Ruchi's Crafeteria. This is a very simple design and can easily be mass produced.

To make this card, I took a piece of black cardstock measuring 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches and die-cut it using a Gina Marie Stitched Frames die. Next, I prepped up my card surface for heat-embossing using the EK Success Powder Tool (This is used to remove the static from the paper). I used the Leaves stamp set for stamping on the two corners using Versamark Embossing ink and heat-embossed it in gold. (Tip - Since the leaves are pretty intricate, always use a Super Fine Detail embossing powder while heat embossing. Using a normal embossing powder will give you very thick & unclear images). I added two butterflies from the Butterfly Layers set which I had heat-embossed in gold and colored using Distress inks. For one of the butterflies, I cut off one part of the wing to create a silhouette shape. I wanted the sentiment to be a bit bold so I heat set the sentiment from the same set - Butterfly Layers and adhered it in the middle. I added two strips of gold paper to enhance focus on the sentiment. I added few tiny flowers from the Bunny Wishes set to finish off my card.

Linking my card to the Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes Challenge, heARTful Stamping- Anything Stamped, and WOW Embossing Powder Challenge.

Have a nice day everyone!

Altenew love!

Hello friends,
I  have a card to share today and I am kind of excited about this because it's completely stamped one layer card, in the sense that I did not use a card panel to adhere on the card base instead this was directly done on the card base itself and Its my first try with a background building stamps and I am so thrilled with the results.
Here's a look at what I have created :

And here's an another view :

These both view were clicked on different days hence the change in photo props :)
To create this card, I first stamped the border using the Wplus 9 Borders and Backgrounds 2 set using Altenew Warm Sunshine ink. Then I stamped the flower from the Altenew Vintage Flowers set using their Red Cosmos inks ..So perfect for the layered look.
The leaves and foliage were stamped from Altenew Beautiful Day set. It's such a gorgeous set with beautiful flowers and foliage images.... Totally in love with it :) The leaves and foliage were also stamped with Altenew Green Fields ink. I colored the small flowers using various Altenew inks. The sentiment is from the Beautiful Day set and stamped using their Jet Black ink. Finished the card with some black ink spatters and PPP sequins.

The colors in my card are very much inspired from the gorgeous picture inspiration from the Fusion card challenge. They are celebrating their 2nd anniversary this time and they have such an amazing line up of inspiration from various designers ..I just had to play along !!

I am entering this card for the following challenges :

Fusion card challenge - 2nd Anniversary celebration.
Paru's Card Making challenge -New (I have used the Wplus9 and Altenew Beautiful Day set for the first time).
Addicted to Stamps and More- Anything goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything goes

Hope you all like my card Please leave me your views regarding it ..I love hearing from you :)
Have a good day everyone!

Coffee Lover's blog hop !!

Hello everyone! :)
Today, I am participating in a very fun blog hop called the Coffeee Lover's Blog Hop hosted by Chaitali of Cuts, Crops & Creativity. It's for all the coffee lover's out there as today is celebrated as National Coffee day!
I am an ardent fan of coffee and truly addicted to it. In India especially the southern part, coffee is a staple beverage and I have been born and brought there. So my love for coffee really originated from there. I love love love the South Indian Filter coffee, the aroma and the taste is something one just has to experience to appreciate it ..Truly !!

Okay besides my ramblings about coffeee there is a fun Q & A added to make this hop more fun and it goes like this :-
1. When did you start drinking coffee??
A. I guess at quite an young age probably as a teenager.

2. What is your favorite brand ?
A. I have two brands that I am crazy about one is from South India and its called BRU and the other is Nescafe.

3. What is the most amazing coffee that you had? Remember where and when?
Like I have said already, my best memories of good coffee all originate from South India so it has to be filter coffee. :)

4. If I don't drink my needed coffee...
A. Well, my day is miserable and I turn completely morose and anti social :D

Ahh ! After this long post, here's a look at what I have created for this hop :

My card is pretty simple!  I have used my very new Fiskars Latte Love stamp set to create  this card. For my background, the upper dots background is done with a Heidi Swapp stencil. I have sponged in Tumbled glass Distress ink through the dot stencil and for the lower part of my background, I stamped a gingham pattern using the Kaisercraft texture stamp using Hero Arts Fresh Peach Mid-tone shadow ink. The coffee cups ate stamped, colored and fussy cut then mounted on foam bits. The sentiment is stamped on a diecut which I have cut off from one side then colored a white cardstock using Fired brick Distress ink and punched them out using a small three in one heart punch.

To finish off my card, I have added a bit of  Platinum Stickles and Glossy accents to my steam and the hearts to make them pop.

Challenges entered :
  2. Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes!

Hope you like my card! Please let me know your views regarding it.
Have a nice day everyone!

Tip : Do you see the 2 ribbon strips on the bottom...Those are created by coloring cardstock's  with Festive Berries Distress ink and cutting them in thin strips and then I have done Faux Stitching over them to give a Grosgrain kind of look...This idea was inspired by Tejal's card which she had shared over Swap Central India..Thank you so much Tejal  :)

Hi Friends,
Today I am posting an CAS card done with stamping ,I seem to be enjoying this simple card phase and I think next to quilling this is definitely my current favorite style,so here's a look at my Card first:
Okay I really wanted this to be a single layer card but then when I started making it, somehow I ended up doing this color combo of orange red and white ,the Scallop Circle are Handcut using a diecut as a template and the stamp I used is a Inkadinkadoo Flourish  stamp and those Birds are part of that stamp set. I have fussy cut the birds and placed them on double sided dimension tape and colored it using Faber Castell color pencil( the regular ones). The sentiment is stamped using The PAPER COMPANY stamps. And the heart brads are from JO -ANN'S.
