Last finishes of 2017

This would of been my last Gifted Gorgeousness post and last post of 2017 had I not been going out partying and playing at being a DJ

The last few stitches went in on the morning of New Year's Eve on this one.
It started out as a project to stitch on a Monday evening while at indoor bowls but it ended up going out and about as well to Hospital/Doctor's/Physio appointments for my Mum as well.   It's still in need of an iron

It was a lovely project to work on but a little impractical at times with it being so long

Christmas Eve I finished Eight Day on Plum Street Samplers 12 Days SAL from a few years ago

I started 9th day on Christmas Day and finished it in the afternoon of New Year's Eve.  It didn't take a week to stitch but Lucy and Teejay came to visit in between and what stitching time I had went on the Monday night sampler

Seventh Day

One of the facebook groups I belong to is doing a advent challenge and because I'm working on a model I decided to pull this out to work on for it.

I've finished Seventh Day

and made a start on Eighth day

And here it is as a whole project

BTW it's Plum Street Samplers 12 Days freebies that were offered on her blog a couple of years ago

Last week's progress

First up is Plum Street Samplers 12 Days after last Friday.
I'll be working on this all the time now that I've finished the Dragonfly (piccie tomorrow) and should finish it by the end of the year.

And St Basil's.
I have one dome left to stitch and the back stitch to finish so it might be done this weekend esp since it's not the weekend I'll be spending with my fella and I have no other plans so can sit and stitch all day if I choose

12 days progress

I didn't have much time to stitch on Friday so not a lot of progress was made but any progress is good :)

12 days SAL

I didn't post a progress piccie of this one last week because it wasn't worth the effort!
All I managed to add to it last week were the lines around First day :(  but this week I got Second day almost finished, yay me

First Day finished

As long as  you ignore the fact that I haven't done the border yet that is :)

12 Days start

Like many other stitchers across the land I've started on Plum Street Samplers 12 days SAL.
I'm going to stitch on this on a Friday now that Magical Night is finished and once I get caught up I'll pull something else out to work on until Pat is ready (she's currently lost her mojo)

I've using SIlkweavers Platinum Pizzaz and Needle Necessities 133 and 153 for the red and green, anything else will be on a what I can find that works basis :)

Mary's Sampler

I finished Mary's Sampler yesterday like many others this week :)
I'm really happy with it even though I have no idea what I'll do with it now!

I used an ooops piece from Country Stitch (are they still going?) and the called for DMC.
The only change I made was to Mary and Joseph's outfits colour, I subbed 902 as it is a little brighter

Mary's sampler

Only one week to go, wonder what the last part is.

Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers for the next few weeks, we lost a family member today

Mary's Sampler

Part 7 has been added and I'm hoping that part 8 or 9 will fill in the gap by the top Angle or I'll have to put a star in there myself or it'll annoy me to much

Weekend progress

Made really good progress on Legends, the stitching is finished and I'm about 3/4 done with the back stitch as well so next weeks update will be a finish :)

And I've added the lonely shepherd on Mary's Sampler and given him a red head band to cheer him a little

Weekend Progress

Another weekend is done and more progress was made on Legends.
I didn't quite manage to finish the stitching on the dragon ready to start the Backstitch but a few hours this next weekend will see to that, if I hadn't spent the first few hours doing some of the backstitch on the border I would of done it

And part 5 of Mary's Sampler has been added

IHSW Weekend progress

I remembered to sign up for IHSW again this month!

I won't post a before pic because as normal it's the same as my after pic from last weekend and if your a regular reader chances are you remember what it looks like and if your new it's in the post below.

It's looks even more like a Dragon now :)

And Mary's Sampler although part 4 was stitched this afternoon

Updates

I'm late with these this week but I have a good reason......

I'm really pleased with how much I got done on Legends over the weekend, fingers crossed I do as well this weekend.

I added my sheep to Mary's Sampler

Here's my good reason :)
Teejay and his Mum have been here to help Mel celebrate her birthday yesterday at Chester Zoo

Weekend progress

First is my progress on Legends, I wasn't in the mood to spend all weekend on the backstitch so I started on the best bit instead, the Dragon.

Monday I started on Mary's Sampler, the 9 part free Christmas Sampler available on Plum Street Samplers blog
I'm using a lovely overdyed green fabric that I bought in an whoops pack from Country Stitch way back in 2004 and good old DMC.
I wasn't keen on Mary and Joseph having such dark and drab outfits so I switched to 902 and I'm much happier with it

And a couple of days ago I went to water my toms and one is turning red :)
