Goodies

I have been craving shopping.

Pinterest has got me planning a home I don’t have, lol, but I am itching to go see what is out there. I like to plan ahead!

I was inspired by blog hopping to run over to Michael’s and see the goodies in the $1 bin.

I actually put back a lot of what I gathered! I got my Country Living in the mail yesterday, I had to make my weekly stop at Barnes & Noble so I got coffee and Romantic Homes, and Elyse is in Artful Blogger(Nov/Dec/Jan) which I looked for in three places and Michael’s only had this one copy left!! I just made it!! Also grabbed a cute pad of paper at JoAnn Fabrics.

The Jelly Bellies were a necessity and were SOOOOO worth it!!

My collection of cupcake holders is now organized into two jars and look great!

You can never have too many cupcake holders!

Also found these  at Michael’s.

I have been looking for pink knobs and honestly haven’t even found them at a price I wouldn’t pay. I was thrilled to get them for $2 each in the dollar days bins.

They match my Lamp

And I think they look cute.

Here is the before

Boring but keeps with the style. Now I need 10 pulls for the two matching dressers. I think it will not be as easy to get. I will keep looking.

I found this

Cute pink and brown dot bed for Sophie. Marshall’s had them for $19.99. More than I wanted to pay but after looking for this size for two months it was the cheapest one I found and it is CUTE! Sophie is still out on if she likes it. Silly girl.

I also got two plastic totes from Wal Mart and have organized under my bed and the Christmas I took down.

I feel better. I even cleaned out the hall closet just for fun ;)

Funny how January does that to you.

Now I am off to add to my Pinterest boards for my dream house.

Must be prepared.

Time

How do you keep up with time?
A wall calendar?
100_1586
I like my Lang wall holder, I have gotten the coffee one the past two years. I really like them and they were different! Nice to have to jot down birthdays and count how long until…

This cutie was in the latest Mollie Makes. I know the picture is light but honestly it is that way hanging too. I hope the other months are darker ;)
Than I have these
100_1593
I have one for my work, birthdays, any fun I may have ;)
and one for logging books!
It started last year because I found one on sale and, well it was ON SALE, so I started keeping up with what I was reading and bought and it has been helpful to keep track of which month of a magazine I have already. I just bought a Romantic Homes last week and went yesterday and got another, I knew they weren’t the same but worried I had repeated the one from last week. Thankfully not BUT it has happened ;)
This year I would not have bought two but I went to get the owl one and there weren’t any :(
I picked the flower one and a few weeks later a HUGE stack of the owls appeared, I am weak people, weak!
So again I will have two!!
I am ready to plan my year, be on time and my only resolution is to NOT forget a birthday! I think I can do it.
Really wish everyone was on Facebook, sooooo easy to remember there! lol

2011

Susie 029 a1

I got on my laptop today to post my News Years wishes. I started on blogger and visited my friends who have posted over the last 2 days I have been away.

All the posts are lovely and reminiscent of the past year.

Some somber, as last year was of changes that were good but brought on by  sad events, some just a look at what the year held.

Visiting your blogs can make me think of so many things all at one time.

I laugh, I tear up, I smile, I am moved, I am excited, I learn

I watched a how today, Netflix is my new best friend no commercials!, and they debated the “real” friend and the virtual friend.

I have “real” friends in blogging. And believe me if I had unlimited funds I would have more than once jumped on a plane and been there to cook, clean or just listen.

I am here and I listen form here.

I have my own issues and drama and I understand having it even if I cannot truly identify with your issue.

BUT

I do care and I do think of you even when I am not online.

I find myself rushing to my phone or laptop because I have one of you on my mind that day. It is comforting to find you there, and there have been times when I just knew you were having a bad day.

So I hope when you see a small ((((HUGS)))) from me you know you are important to me and I do not want to but in but I care.

And I hope in a small way for a small moment you feel you are loved.

Ok this was not what I thought I would write today ;)

I wanted to share this lovely New Years card shared by Dawn

at The Feathered Nest

And wish you all the best 2012 can bring you

And I was noticing a book on a friends book shelf and thought I need that one BUT I am making myself read the one before it first!

Do you do that? Make a silly goal to be able to treat yourself?

Kate Morton is a wonderful writer, her books are in depth and cover many time periods. I love them and get involved but I have a hard time reading right through them. The Forgotten Garden took me months and I read others while I was going along. I am on The House at Riverton and it is as slow going, I am making my self read it so I can get her latest The Distant Hours. I can do it!

Have a super extra new year that I hope brings wonderful new beginnings to all of my lovely friends!

HAPPY NEWW YEAR!
