Brotherhood Valkyrie in a light mech. I assume she keeps a robe in the cockpit or with her pit crew, but the wimple has to stay to mark her vocation even in the thick of battle.

A little Imperial with Mishima Corp and a Korean Auxiliary. I think the Mishima trooper is the closest to a Doom Trooper. It follows the reference pretty closely, though i didn't choose a Mutant Chronicles drawing.

Today, we have Mechs and Assault Squads, Overlords and Pinups, robots and trenches. You'll note nods to Disney's Atlantis, Mucha, and Moebius. More Mishima Corp is coming in the future. It's still mostly Imperial and Bauhaus for now.

Some actual drawings from source material as well as some "in the spirit of". Less of my own riffing on these.

Going to Mucha and E Nesbit for some inspiration with my new metallic pens. 19010 pinup are education in changing aesthetics. I spent so much time researching dieselpunk tanks that I decided to scratch build my own. We'll get into some legionaires and doom troopers next post.

There were too many games. I didn't have time for a 40k knock off. Blood Bowl, Man of War, Necromunda, 40k, and Fantasy Battles all needed time and funding. Seige of the Citadel was frightening and fascinating (there's a special place in my psyche for the Ezoghoul), but getting into the whole Mutant Chronicles was a bridge too far. Imagine my nostalgic delight, then, when I discovered the 2008 movie Mutant Chronicles staring Ron Pearlman! It has all the best parts of Seige of the Citadel and no 40k shoulder pads. It's like a Steam Punk "Doom". It's light watching, but I did enjoy the movie's theme: "The Darkest Age is Yet to Come: Have Faith!". It's not just the theme of the movie, it's also the mechanical principle upon which it runs. I would love to have a sequel that focuses on "Where will you put your faith?" It's a critical discussion for our present moment. Anyhow, above is my personal version of The Mutant Chronicle...

Where is my Super Suit? Always be specific that you want "Power Suit Samus" when dealing with AI. After a few wasted credits, I got muh "Super Suit". Don't mess. A little more like Iron Man, but love the computer screens and eyes. I like the guarded expression and dark lighting here. All images were created using Starryai and are enhanced for a 50 iteration prompt: Power Suit Samus Aran in Ridley's Lair.

Classic Anime style courtesy of Starryai: It's in the style of "Ghost in the Shell," but I'm getting definite "Evangelion" vibes. I can see why artists worry about these AI programs. Enough tooling around with even the free version can produce quality images to cover a host of basic needs. Now, if you want something with fingers... not so much.
