i just got this sweet little necklace in the mail! a total surprise. it's from my friend janna of jacjewelry, here.

and i love it! thank you, janna. how did you know i needed a little pick me up. i worked all weekend. ALL. WEEKEND. hubby was gone on an overnight hunting trip with his sidekick, pixel. i worked and worked and worked some more. stopped saturday night for a movie and sushi at home. then stopped again sunday evening for trick-or-treat night. we couldn't resist taking this little one around to a few houses. and then doling out candy to our neighborhood kids.

i found this yesterday over at lifestyle bohemia, the blog of shop brooklyn thread. isn't it fabulous. i love the brass.

joanna, owner of brooklyn thread, is a client. i make the cards that she wraps her bracelets around. stop on over and visit joanna. tell her i sent you. and check these out while you're there. love these too. but they'd require that i got my ears pierced. yep, no holes here. i'll have to stick with the feather necklace.

i love a surprise

i've written about my friend janna before. she makes beautiful jewelry and sells it in her etsy shop. i recently saw this piece in her shop. gorgeous.
janna's also my go-to gal for advice. she responds to every email i send. she listens to me rant about the injustices of the world... of my small world that is. she gives me advice. she's a good friend. so when she ordered some cards from me recently, i also enclosed these puppies. i lifted that beautiful photo of that beautiful necklace and designed some calling cards for her.

Jewelry Sale

Hey there. I'm still soaking up the sun in Maui but wanted to tell you about my friend Janna's sale that starts today. She made my favorite piece of jewelry.


Isn't it beautiful. I wear it jeans and a tee. I wear it with dresses. Ok, just that one time with a dress. I don't do dresses very much. Janna's very talented (and very smart, she just got her MBA). She's hosting a huge sale at her etsy shop, jacjewelry, starting today, June 1st.
