i thought i'd share with y'all a few goodies i've found on etsy recently. (all links found just below photos.)

these gorgeous chalcedony bubble bangles. if you read the artist's description of these bracelets, he says kyle richards of the real housewives of beverly hills was seen wearing them (and even includes a photo). kyle has great taste... these are stunning.

and what a fund idea this is! images printed on melamine plates. i especially adore this sea life one. the mad platters shop have many designs in their etsy shop... from sea life to bugs and insects to botanicals. i had trouble finding the one i like best.

you know i'm a huge fan of artwork and prints. somebody really needs to cut me off from buying any more... i suspect that'll be my husband soon. this print is adorable! lucile prache sells them from her studio in paris. she's got a supercute blog over here.

this is perfect for us

i saw this on pinterest today. this is perfect for us. i might have to buy this for the kitchen. and add it to my breakfast nook gallery wall. it's available at this etsy shop.

and by the way, happy valentine's day. we're not awfully big on celebrating this holiday. we save it for 2 days from now, which is our wedding anniversary. but i did ask for a chocolate covered strawberry for today. it's all i want.

new designs in shop

ever since this october 2011 cover of house beautiful, i've had purple on the brain. like lavender, lilac and even beet.

so i made some new designs in shades of purple. i created a set of 10 foldover notecards with these 5 patterns. my favorite is the suzani-like pattern on beet.
of course i like the leaf stem wallpaper also.
and the offset stripe too. ok, fine, i like them all equally.
and then i was doodling working one day and came up with this pattern.
i named it brushstroke chainlink in pink ombre. i turned it into notecards also.

is in stock! i've been wanting to make a wall calendar for a few years now. the stars aligned this year. and i made this....

it's 12.5"x19" with a 1/2" white border all around. it's pretty. you'll like it.

hope

as we all know, october is breast cancer awareness month. most of us know someone with breast cancer. i do. someone close to me. very very close to me. she's been through chemo and is almost done with radiation. and she has thrived. her tumor is gone. there's no sign of cancer anyway else in her body. she even managed to work her very busy job throughout her treatments.

in support of her and all women who are fighting this battle, i made these bookmarks. HOPE. for every one of these bookmarks sold, i will donate $1.00 to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. they are sold in sets of 3. therefore, $3.00 will be donated by me every time a set is purchased.

found here at little brown pen reminds me of sunshine. it's in the forecast for this weekend. sunshine that is. finally. 70s and sunshine. we seattle-ites have waited a long long time for it. i might go do cartwheels.

i'm needy

i need sun. i had a blood test done last week. it showed i'm extremely low in vitamin d. i live in seattle. go figure.

i need warmth. while i'm at it, an ocean and sand would be nice too.

little brown pen

i took advantage of cyber deals black friday weekend. nope, not for christmas gifts for others... for myself. i ordered prints from little brown pen. they arrived in this package. love the sticker.

then there was this sheet. more packaging love.
then this. oh my goodness. i seriously want to frame this belly band. it is the deepest, darkest shade of green. and i don't even like green. it's not my favorite. i bought this set of photos to go in my guest bath. they would be the perfect wall art. but they're so beautiful... i want them in my office where i can see them daily.
this was the picture that sold me on the set. stunning hydrangeas.
but these do not disappoint.

and the photos are printed on a heavy cotton rag paper. so luxe. AND to top it off, i was poking around little brown pen's blog shortly after i got these and entered the contest she had going on. and i won!! real simple sponsored the giveaway. so it's a few goodies including something from little brown pen. i'm so excited...

weekly recap

yes, i watched parts 2 and 3 of the real housewives of new york reunion. i'm on team left couch. (i can't take credit for coming up with 'team left couch'. i read it over here.) best line of the night... bethenny saying that talking to kelly was like talking to humpty dumpty. i agree. actually, i think she was being generous by calling her humpty dumpty.
our new backyard patio was poured. pixel left her monogram. isn't her penmanship good?
things are blooming in the garden. hostas and masterwort.
hydrangea. always a fave.
but my poor little strawberries are struggling to survive. first there was constant rain, then there was a critter that ate them. grow, little strawberries, grow.
and finally, new shop products! i'm jumping on the ikat bandwagon. here's a sneak peek at some things to be loaded soon. lots more to make.
