Stencil Frenzy !!

Hi every one !!
This month we released an small array of stencils which is a great add to our line !!

Our Dts have taken the opportunity to make a stencil intensive project !!

Here are the projects that they made !!

Halak beautifully   used all three stencils from the collection and made this gorgeous project !! She used them to ink up her project and can you see the crispness the inking has with sharp edged !! This stencil is fantastic for ink blending !!

Our DT Piyanki Biswas made these ultra elegant gift tags. She had firstly distressed the background and used a darker colour of the same to stencil. These matching set of tags are so pretty and quick to make !!

This uber mixed media project with this grundge tiles cum wall background is so pretty .. The textures created using tbe tecture paste is to die for .. The use of flowers and sentiment enhance the background !!

Wooow .. Bubbles looks so fantastic !! The dept of the tecture paste can be easily seen in this project !! Which enhances the entire project three folds !!

The last mixed media project for the post has some really pretty textures with loads of spraying and texture paste !! The backgrounds stand out so nicely !!

Hope you enjoyed our take by the DTs .. Hoping to see some awesome work by our  fellow crafters using Peek-a-boo Designs stencils ..

Magnetic Bookmark @ Peek-a-Tute

Hello Everyone, hope everyone has glanced through our latest collection and release. Are they not " MUST HAVE" :):):)

Anyways today I have a cute tute on Magnetic Bookmark. I have used some old and new stamps from the collections.

1. Gather your Supplies. I am using 2 stamp set from the collection

 2. Stamp all the cute , small elements from the set that you choose and color them. I have used Distress ink to color them and used my Sharpie to darken the eyes and tale :)

3. Cut some strips of any CS which should be smaller in size than the stamped image.
Also cut equal/smaller size magnetic strip. I have used square magnetic sheet that I sourced from Amazon. You can use any.

4. And the result are these cuties. See to it that the strips are not bigger than the image.

Now over to my bonus project. I have made a set of note card using the last months set.

Hope you like it and also looking forward for your crafty take on our challenge this month.

You can find all the details here.

We had an amazing time last month trying and finalizing all the new release items. You can buy the new release items from our webpage www.thepeekaboodesigns.com.

Without any further delay let me talk about the Challenge this month.

The basic theme is ANYTHING GOES and there is a little twist to the same. You need to use an item from your OLD STASH and mix it with something you added RECENTLY PURCHASED. Yep we generally ignore our old supplies and on creating stuffs from the new ones. So here is the time open your old supplies .. remove that small amount of dust from them .. and create some awesome project combining them with new ones.

 General Rules :

  8. No restriction on the number of challenges you can take part in - As long as your project matches our challenge, you may "pile on" the other challenges to your heart's content.
  9. We will accept a maximum of three entries per person. Please add -2 and -3 next to your name for subsequent entries.
  10. A Winner will be chosen on their merits. So submit your most creative projects. And that's all there is to it! International Crafters are welcome to participate in our challenges but their prizes would only be sent to an Indian address due to high shipping cost
To add some fun to the challenge and bidding a goodbye to the existing team we have a blog hop.. Hmm yeah I know we dint even realize the time flew by so quickly and a span of 6 months passed away with a blink of an eye.

Its Summer Time @ Peek a Tute

Hello Everyone, hope everyone is beating the heat and coping with the scorchy sun :).

Anyways its quite a season up here in north and its the perfect time for a cool summer project.

Today at Peek - a- Tute I bring you a card which you can use to tell a story with many sentiments. Its nothing unique that I made or invented as most of you must have seen it on various craft sites.

However still I am trying to simplify the way the card is made.

So its called a Tri - shutter - Card and the reason I like this card always because of the immense space it gives to express what you want to say yet the compact size being the standard 5.5x4.25.

1. Take a 51/2" X 12" any color CS for the card base. Chose the stamp set and basic supplies.

2. Keep the CS horizontal on the scoring board and score at 2",4",8" and 10".

3. Align the CS vertical at 11/2"  and cut from 2" to 10". Slide at 4" and cut at the same scores.

4. It has a total of 11 panels and I have numbered it so that its easier for the embellishments and size.

** Below is the measure for each of the 11 panels. Cut the other CS at 1/8" less than the base CS.

4 & 5 : Depicts the Panels.

P1 : 2 X 51/2"
  P2  :21/2" X 2"
P3: 11/2" X 2"
P4: 11/2" X 2"
P5: 4" X 11/2"
P6: 4" X 21/2"
P7: 11/2" X 4"
P8: 2" X 11/2"
P9 : 2" X 21/2"
 P10: 2" X 11/2"
P11: 2 X 51/2"

Above are the panels and how I have decorated and embellished each of the panels.  All the panels base CS is colored using distress ink and given a background with the smallest element in the stamp set.

And the finally the card look like this :). I have chosen some summer colors if you may notice to sprinkle some additional touch.

Some close up shots so that you can view the panel designing in detail.

The Fresh and Cool is a 3D sticker I bought 4 years back from Itsy Bitsy...:):):)

Thats all I have. Hope this will help you all to make one for yourself.

Oh yeah, please  come along and play the challenge for us. Its a interesting one this time and also dont forget to see our "Design Team Call"

You mean the world to me !

Hello Everyone, hope you are having fun playing with our challenge for this month.

You can find the challenge details here.

And now its my turn to inspire you and show you some ways how to use one of the most adorable set for this month.

For both the cards I have used the "Roundy Sentiments" which is a brand new release for this month.

I took advantage of the set and used round and scallop shape dies to create my cards.

The best thing about this set is it co ordinates with you generic round dies so that it gets easier to create your projects incase you want to use them in circle shaped cards or tags.
