Tutorial on Making Felt Mobile Case + 1 Inlaid Die Cut Card !!

Hi friends ..this is Vijaylaxmi Siyal this side !! Yeah i know i am MIA since long but there are so many reasons for being that..!! Anyways keep this story aside and lets talk craft .. :) I really missed craft this time and believe me its very hard to get back and bring that mojo back ...i struggled a lot this time while creating these projects so pls bear me with my silly creations..!! hope you like them !!

So lets move ahead -

Here is the -- Felt Mobile Case !!

Step 1 : Take Felt Sheets as per your choice of colors... i chose Black , Red & Lemon Green.

Step 2 : Cut the Black outer most sheet using PABD Dual Leaf die.

Step 3 : Now stick the Green felt sheet beneath the die cut black sheet for some pop of colors ..i used Fabric Glue here to stick both sheets.

Step 4 : Now cut some red leaves from the same die and place them in the negative die cut space black felt sheet.

Step 5 : Stick all the leaves with the help of Fabric glue & let them dry completely..You can see the glue in my pics :p

Step 6 : Now take some Red Embroidery thread and stitch both the front & back black felt sheets together. I am not in stitching much so don't know the name of this stitch :p  we are done ...!! Easy right ...?? If you want you can add a button or strap to make it more secure ...i am going to do that soon.

Now move on to the next card in which i used Inlaid Die Cutting for the first time ..& really find it so cool !!

Steps -
1) For this card i distressed a white card stock  with some random colors of DI and then Die Cut them using the October Released Swirled Flourish Die & Thank You die
2) Then Cut another white CS panel using Rounded stitched Rectangle Die .
3) Then placed the Flourish Die & Thank you Die on this stitched white CS in a pattern and run thru it from the Big Shot.
4) Now comes the tricky but fun part is to arrange all the colored die cut pieces to this white die cut piece. Its just like solving a puzzle ...!! So fit all the pieces in the negative spaces . Placced some matching PABD Enamel Dots here n there for more charm.
5) Tadda ..!! We are done ..its ready ..sweet n simple  !! Quick too :p

Peek-Tute Friday with Juhi: Die-cutting with a twist

Hello everyone! It's Juhi. I am so excited to share my first tutorial for Peek-a-boo Designs. The focus of today's tutorial is die-cutting. I will show a fun and easy way to use the tiny negative die cut pieces of the Graceful Lattice die.
Here's the card I created.
I was inspired by this month's challenge theme, which is a color inspiration, you can find the details here.

To make the card:
I started with a piece of watercolor paper painted in colors of the rainbow. I stuck the watercolor panel onto a piece of same sized cardstock with some repositionable glue and ran it through my die cutting machine with the Graceful Lattice Die. The die only cut through the top watercolor paper layer, leaving the bottom cardstock layer intack. Then I peeled off the die-cut watercolor paper leaving the tiny negative pieces stuck on the cardstock panel. I made a start to finish video of how I made this card.
I hope you enjoyed watching the video! This technique will work with most background dies. I would  love for you to have a go at it!

Supplies used:
Graceful Lattice Die

Double Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die

Dream Word Die

Picture Frame Tutorial !!

Hi Friends .. How you all are ?? You all must be doing great !!
Today I, Vijaylaxmi Siyal sharing a tutorial of a picture frame !!

So without any delay here we go --

Steps on how I made this  -

1) Take a Chipboard Photo frame .(Either Readymade or handmade )

2) Apply white Acrylic paint to cover the frame .

3) Then I Used PABD Bubbles Stencil & Texture Paste to give the frame a nice texture !! Did you check how huge these stencils are ?? So easy to work on bigger projects like this and still so pocket friendly..

4)  Actually I thought to add color to my texture paste & for some vintage look I added vintage photo DI and applied that brownish texture paste but after doing this I didn't felt good about the outcome & it seems like a blunder so I applied a coat of Gesso over the stenciled area !!

With a coat of Gesso -

5) Then I again distressed it with broken china DI ..now when its looking some better , I started decorating it ..!!

Some More Ink -

6) Decorate it as per your choice. I used PABD Magical Fairies Stamp Set & PABD Love Word Die Cut to decorate my frame along with some Flowers & other embellishments.

Hope you like my attempt.

And since Teacher's Day is approaching and all crafty moms need to make series of cards for you children .. here I made a really simple and quick card !!

Here is a look

I hope you all are submitting your beautiful entries to our August Color Inspiration Challenge !!

Peek-A-Tute Friday with Ria

Hello Everyone,

This is Ria again on this side with some projects on your favorite Friday! I hope you all are enjoying the July release and I am already seeing fabulous projects by everyone.

Are you taking part in this month's challenge Challenge 8 - Onlylayers

I am here today with three new projects going with the month's challenge theme. Let us move onto the projects:

FIRST PROJECT:

My first project is an altered glass bottle. I have made the project in four easy steps:

Step 1: Using your distress inks, stamp the butterflies from Bold butterflies of every size on a paper (I have used scrap paper and I never throw scraps and better use for these tiny stampings). I have also cut some tiny butterflies using a paper punch.

Step 2: Fussy cut the butterflies, blend the same ink on it by which it was stamped and I have used some bling with Wink of Stella.

Step 3: Cover the body of the bottle with acrylic colors with a sponge. Let it air dry for few minutes.
Step 4: Apply the texture paste on it through Leafy Delight Stencil. Let it dry. And then cover partially the same acrylic colors on it.

I have finished it by sticking the butterflies on it- on an ascending order. Placed all the three word diecuts from July release and some sequins.

SECOND PROJECT:

I have come to know about the transparent cards last month and wanted to try this asap. I have made the night scene with Festive berries, Blue Chase & Grape vine from artistry inks; with some mist and white acrylic.
Stamped the fairies, colored the wings, fussy cut them and adhered them to the margins. The sentiment is also from the same set. I have stamped the stars from the solid shapes set and embossed them with Enchanted Gold. Its done!

THIRD PROJECT:

My third project is a card this time. Made the background with the BOX-tacular stencil with some mist and pearl effect on it. Stamped and colored the flourish from the Humming blossom Set. Cut it into an oval shape, adhered on a black foam and then on the background, finished with some enamel dots and sequins!

SUPPLIES USED

I hope I have done justice to the mixed media and the transparent card with my first trials.
