#YOUARELOVED

No conversation heart candies in the stores this year . . . so I had to create my own!  This one is for House Mouse & Friends Challenge.  I adore these little mice.

My background, oddly enough, was created using a rose stencil, but you can' see much of the rose detail due to the technique I used, which was to attempt a watercolor monoprint from another piece where the rose detail did show.  But it was till worthy of use.

Adore these cute little mice!

I hope you find some time to create today.

Love of House Mouse

Anyone who knows me well knows that I'm a huge fan of House Mouse.  I have two cards to share today.  This first one was inspired by the challenge at House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge.  This month's inspiration was "anything goes", with the optional theme of "love".

I'm always going to pick love, because love wins.  It should always win.   And how about me using Christmas paper from a Simon Says Stamp card kit to make a card about love!  This was from the Milk and Cookie Doodlebug line.  Love this paper.

And always love the mouse!

And a second card I will share was created with StampNation as my inspiration.  StampNation is my online community of craftiness.  This month they are doing a birthday celebration, and the challenge there was to create a birthday card for a woman.

This card also has a watercolor background piece that was created using Ken Oliver Color Burst.

I hope you find some time to create!

Bright and Shiny for Merry Monday

I had so much fun creating this card for Merry Monday.  Yes, it was a bit more work, but the creative process is my therapy from life, so this one was great therapy!

The challenge was to include a snowman, snow woman or snow family.  I just had to play with this new stamp I had in my stash from Art Impressions.

Certainly not traditional colors, but the pink just made me happy.  I started by using black pigment ink to stamp my images and I put clear embossing powder on them.  Yes, . . . there are two images, because the snowman has a layered piece that is on an action wobble.  So I colored the full image on the water color piece, and then colored the smaller center image to match and put it on with the wobble.  You can see the layering a bit better below.

Those arms and those little gifts shake and shimmy on that wobble.  Super cute.

I hope you are able to find some time to create today!

Cheers!

Hello My Friend for SIP Challenge

I love to watercolor.  It's kind of the new trend with the adult coloring books, and for me it is all about stamped images.

The challenge this week at Stamp Ink Paper was a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  My line . . . Green, Sequins and Flowers.  My card . . .

We have a green background and a floral background.  We have flowers in our watercolor.  And we have colored sequins.  And me?  Well I had fun painting it and bringing the little characters to life.  I'll admit I'm still on the fence  about my little loop of rope that is meant to be the swing.

I hope you fine some time to create!
