Feel Better!

Just some blocks of color for this one; the primaries. Keeping it real, and also including the prompt from CAS on Friday, to include a feathered friend.

I've been pulling sets from my stash and having a great time. This one was a fun collection of products that came in a monthly delivery that no longer arrives. I miss it!

It's All Black and White

Continuing my use of items in my stash, and decided to create a little something in black and white.  This card was inspired by CAS on Friday's challenge prompt of "leaves".

I really love this set from The Stamp Market.  It has the main leaf stamp set, and then a separate stamp for the veins of the leaves. I also stacked my sentiment which provides a cleaner look than foam tape.

I stamped and die cut multiple times.  I love the simplistic look of the black and white.

I hope you find some time to raid your stash.

Taking the Positive with the Negative - Take 7

Usually my positive and negative pieces become separated from each other, but I decided to play out a creation of positive and negative pieces.  I love the outcome on this one. Nothing like a rainbow of color.

So which came first?  My card for Just Us Girls or CAS on FridayJust Us Girls had a word prompt of "Rainbow".  CAS on Friday had the prompt of "Friendship".  So it started with a rainbow of colors and a "Friend" die.  And I went first to create my card for Just Us Girls, taking that rainbow prompt rather seriously.

I used temporary adhesive and put the "friend" letters down.  I then did some ink blending over the images to create my rainbow of colors.  I then removed the letters and put them aside for my second card.  I stamped my sentiment in black over the word friend, and then used my color palette to stamp some stars around my sentiment.  I used a blender pen to color my images and match them to the ink blending.

A few sequins and I was done.

Moving to my CAS Card, I had cut the die earlier and was ready to piece my friend letters back into my white background.

I suppose a shaker card isn't completely CAS, but I left a lot of white space!  I used some gray striped pattern paper, took the frame from my original die and put it on my card base centered on the pattern paper.  I popped my colored letters back in, and then created a shaker window from the frame which was part of the same die that cut the letters.

A little acetate, foam strips and clay pieces and done.

I love that the letters have some darkness around their edges.  It makes them pop, even though they are flat to the card.

Another positive/negative creative session in the books.

Want some fun?  Create a rainbow!

You're the Sweetest

How about a little embossing.  I created my background - white embossing on kraft cardstock - as I was inspired by the prompt at CAS on Friday.

I couldn't resist using the negative piece from a Pinkfresh die . . . can't throw out a perfect rectangle, even if it's not the piece that had the pretty stitching on the edge.

I created the little candies and used some Glossy Accents to give that "wrapped-in-plastic" appearance.

I hope you found some time to make something shine!

CAS Practice

Created a thank you card for CAS on Friday.

CAS is hard for me, so I tried to keep just a single line of stamped images.  But I always question, did I squeak past the CAS?

I'm a work in progress.

Go get CAS!

Favorite Person

A CAS card with a masculine spin for CAS on Friday.

The earthy tones work well for a masculine card, and I love the big bold sentiment stamp.

My trees were stamped on pattern paper which makes for an easy design. Nothing sparkly or flashy, because that's not typically a guy thing.

I hope you find some time to create!

CAS Card w/Flowers

A CAS card for CAS on Friday.

I've had these stamps and the coordinating punch in my stash for a long time.  Seemed perfect for a CAS card.

I always struggle with CAS.  I have a need to put stuff everywhere.  I did my best to refrain.

Whatever you do, make time to create!

CAS on Friday . . . Use a Tag

Does it count if said tag, for CAS on Friday, is one you didn't create?

Well, I had these tags, and felt they deserved to be used on a card . . . they were from a card kit, so of course they belong on a card.

I do love the texture on this tag.  And I'm loving my color combination.

I hope you find some time to create today.

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Laughter truly is the best medicine.  Sharing a card I created today in an attempt to lift my spirits after losing my four-legged bestie. This challenge was from CAS on Friday, and the challenge was to create a card with a die.

The sentiment was fun to make.  I took the word die and inked in varied colors, masking as I went, and then embossed with some added sparkle.

I hope you find some time to create today.
