December journal

Can you believe we are in the middle of November already. Soon one of my favorite months will come. Can't wait for December! Love love love the month December with all the lights, preparations for Christmas, all the joy, time spent together, warm cozy indoor activities, maybe some skating or skiing, all the secrets, the making, baking, the lovely scent of Christmas in the house, the sparkle in the eyes of the kids, the preparing of gifts to the people we care for ... So many things that bring love and joy and meaning and reasons to be thankful into my life.
As a part of my Christmas traditions is making of my December album a thing I really love and look forward to.
This year all my scrapbooking is put away in different places around the house, but I enjoyed the process of digging trough my old paper and stash and find all things Christmas related. :-)
This years album is solely made of things I already had on hand and I enjoy bringing new life to old papers and stash. :-)
Here are some of the premade pages I have made so far:

Travel journal to London. :-)

My oldest son, Edvin, got a trip to London as a gift for his 18th birthday, and this weekend we set of to London. We are so excited, and look so much forward to the trip. So, I decided, last minute to create a travel journal for the trip that Edvin can keep as a memory.
I dug trough som old stuff to find a journal I could use, and then I stumbled across this wonderful pre- made travel journal i think is designed by Ali Edwards. I think it must have stayed in my cupboard for about 8 years waitng for the right time. It made me so happy to find it just on the right time. I have decorated the cover with some patterned paper by the Danish company ridderholmdesign.dk the stuff I used inside is some travel-pieces by Panduro and some paper and stuff (probably) by Ali Edwards designed to fit the journal.
Now we are ready to go to London, ready to journal and put in pictures. Can't wait. :-)

Thanks for stopping by. Love Gudrun.

Rainbow flowers

Recently I was challenged by my wonderful friend, Torill, over at scrappehuset
She challenged me to force one of my "scrapbooking fears", and do something I usually not do in scrapbooking.

I had a hard time finding something I "fear", because scrapbooking is just pure joy for me.

I looked trough my drawers and stash ... and what did I find:
...
a huge box filled with white paper flowers.
...
I love flowers, but I hardly ever use premade paper flowers.
..
So - I grabbed the flowers, mists and a cute picture of my lovely Eirun girl.

I started off with misting a lot of flowers in different colors. I wanted to make a flower rainbow. :)
When all the flowers were nicely colored with all different mists, and had dried completely, I arranged them on to my layout.
I added some more fabric-and plastic- flowers and some bling.
It was SO much fun creating this layout, and play in this fun challenge.
Thanks a bunch Torill. I had a blast.  :)

Thanks for stopping by!

scrappy stuff :)

Finally time to create and play.  :)
The rain is pooring down outside today, and my dining table is filled to the brim with scrappy stuff.
:)
It feels so good to finally have the energy and joy to make stuff.

I have created two little bookmarks for my girls, using the brand new, and OH SO CUTE "winter" collection by Pixie Dust Studio.
Make sure you come over to The PDS challenge blog as well this week to join our "anything goes" challenge. And have your chance to win some really cute digi stamps :)

this "here I come" layout was created for sketch #247 over at
Pencil Lines sketch challenge blog. I so love this picture of Iver, embracing the pacific ocean.
Make sure you go over to pencil lines on sunday for a new sketch challenge too.  :)

This "Melon & Peaches" layout is made for this months sketch challenge by Lisa Pace, over at Cocoa Daisy.
I so loved Lisas skatch, and the June Cocoa daisy kit was perfect for these colorful, fruity pictures.

This layout is all about Sol, enjoying the wild strawberries in our garden.  It was actually made for one of the CHA-challenges over at Two Peas, but I never came to post it.

Now, have a happy weekend you all.

my day

Hi my friends.
Thank you SO much for all your kindest birthday wishes on my facebook page, on my e-mail, on Cocoa Daisy forum, on my profile at "The Color Room" and other places.
I SO appreciate it all, and you totally made my day!
big hugs!!

This has been a beautiful day here in oslo.
the weather was good and I celebrated my day at my mothers house.
My kids and my mom made delicious food and the girls made me their special crunchy chocolate cake.
We had a great time outdoor in the sun.
it was all good.
:)
Thank you mom, Edvin, Iver, eirun, sol.
I love you!!

When we arrived home Edvin and Eirik had arranged a wonderful surprise for me:
I found this romantic, beautiful, new bench in my garden, along with a basket full of yummy strawberries.
It just couldn't be any better!
:)
And, at last I got some cozy, wonderful scrappy time - just for me
:) :)
I created this mini album with pictures from my day.
All patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket ( the new line: Odds and Ends )

My sunshine :)

Hi friends.
Hope you are all fine.
Days are crazy and busy around my house.
As you know I'm working on my kitchen.
Right now I'm here with 4 kids, no stove, the fridge in front of the sofa in the living room, all the kitchen utensils in boxes around the house, no running water ( except in the bathroom ).
Yea, Life is good, isn't it!  :p
Now well
...
it eventually will be good
I just have to work on it
...
I have now sanded the kitchen floor with a huge sanding machine, and I'm working on the coating with a special oil coating.
The carpenter is working on the kitchen cupboards and will finish them in time.
It will all be good!
:) :) :)

Now on to this weeks sketch challenge over at the
Sketch 241 is up with special guest Sarah Jane - and sposored by her company Little Musings.
I had a lot of fun playing with these super cute digital stamps.
My layout is all about my little sunshine - the happy, creative, wonderful girl in my life.
She brings me so much joy.
And she LOVEs to write.
She writes little books, little stories and little love notes for all of us in the family. :)

This layout was made today.
LOVE this picture of  these fun, happy, wonderful boys.
I'm sure they will be something big one day.
:)
One actor - one musician
;)

This layout will probably be the foundation for a class I will teach in Austria in september :) :) :)

Thanks for popping by!
Have a great week!!
