Etched Candy Jar- SVG FILE ADDED

A group of us are meeting for dinner tonight to celebrate a friends birthday.  I wanted something small to take her, since we don't do gifts.  I etched this jar with her initial and filled it with her favorite chocolate.  I love how the cricut lets us give thoughtful inexpensive gifts that look like we fussed!!!!

Name Frame

Here is the frame I mentioned last week in the post about removing glass that is hot glued in.  I do not recommend trying it!!!!  It is there to stay.  I used Times New Roman for the last name, and Tabitha for the first names.

This is the first one I made, (below)the one I tried to take apart.  I thought the name was too small, and I centered the name and est. as one object.  I wasn't satisfied with how it looked.  I re-did it and made Hill larger and centered that, and just put est. in the empty space below.

This is how the frame looks with the hot glue holding the frame in.  A mess, I know!!!!  I cover the glue with ribbon if it is a gift.  I won't be putting a continuous bead of glue anymore either.  After this experience, I will just put globs in the four corners, and maybe in the center of each edge.

Here I managed to remove a small section of the glue.  It was no easy task!  The hot glue holds very securely!!!!

Breast Cancer Walk T-Shirts

shirt back
I don't know why this pic is rotated!!!  I've tried to fix it and can't!

A good friend of mine asked me to make shirts for her team that is participating in a walk this Sunday. Her Mom passed away a year ago from breast cancer. I made 18 shirts!!!  That is the most I have ever done, and I have only made a few projects with HTV.  It wouldn't have been too bad, but I am having scal 2 issues at the moment.  For some reason my program keeps locking up in the middle of cutting.  It is driving me nuts.  I have to log off on my computer to unlock the program.  I am definitely going to get that fixed asap!!!!!  It made the job very frustrating.  I'm satisfied with the finished project though, so all's well that ends well!

Fall envelope

I've had this idea for a while and finally had the chance to try it out.  I needed to make a nice gift envelope for Pastor Appreciation Sunday for our Pastor's gift, and I really like how it turned out.  This is a scal 2 file.

Etched Jars

I put some cute fall designs on these little jars from Walmart.  I am going to fill them with fall hersheys chocolates and tie a raffia bow around the neck.  Sorry for the poor photos.  I have a hard time getting the etching to show!

Wedding Card

I have a wedding to go to this weekend, so of course I need a card.  I printed my own background paper, which is great because you can change the color.  For the sentiment I used my gel pens & cricut (chomas creations).  The shape that the sentiment is on I made with a new cuttlebug folder.  I embossed the image on black paper, cut it out, scanned it into my computer, and turned it into an svg!  I then cut it out with my cricut, did the sentiment with the pens, then ran it through the cutllebug.  I was very happy with how it worked.  I was also able to make a shadow mat.  Then I applied lots of bling with my new irock, which I love.

Vinyl Floating Frame

I saw this on a vinyl website and decided to make my own version, since I seldom pay for files.  I knew I recognized the font, but could not find it.  I finally realized it was one I had (aquarelle) with the fancy parts removed!  Then I spent the next hour creating the flourish.  Sometimes I drive myself nuts!  It would have been quick and simple to just use a different one, but I had a particular look in mind. Oh well- It's only time!!! :0)  It is a glass frame.  I put white paper behind it so it would photograph better.

Lingerie Shower

I was doing some "clean-up" on my blog this evening and found this post still in my drafts folder!  It's from the end of May!  I remember the pictures were posting crazy and I got fed up with it.  I didn't realize I never fixed it and didn't post it.  I just posted it "as is", so I apologize for the lack of organization.

Vinyl Chargers

I totally scraplifted these from a couple of people from Smart Buy Gal Forum. (Thank you ladies!!) If you haven't seen this new message board, go check it out!!!  It is awesome and we can post ANY crafts we want made with ANY products.  The chargers are from Walmart, and I used black vinyl.  I really love these, and plan on making more as gifts.

Candy Box & Card

I finally made a box!!!!  It has been forever, and most of you know I have a "thing" for boxes!  I used my new GLITTER gel pens to decorate this set.  I absolutely LOVE them.  I cannot believe how much sparkle is packed into a single line of ink.  I was pretty skeptical about how much they would actually "glitter".  Was I ever surprised.  I tried to capture the sparkle in the close up of the card, but it doesn't do it justice.
The pens are available at Chomas Creations.
Box file was purchased from My Time Made Easy

Halloween Card

Here is another project using the gel pens with my cricut.  First I "drew" the images with my cricut and the black gel pen.  I colored the letters with colored pencils, then blended the stroke lines with oderless mineral spirits.  I used stickles on the spiderweb and letters.  I cut the spider image out of black paper, used a pop dot to place it over the drawn image, and covered it with glossy accents.  If you are not familiar with the gel pens you can find information and ideas at Chomas Creations
