Ô Délices! Pastry Cart - Part 1

Generally I am still practicing and making miniature flowers.
One idea just occurs; the working modes switch suddendly since last Friday after I chatted with a friend...

One of several things that I like much is woodworking. Send with a fine sandpaper between several coats of paint. What I lack of is make the furniture vivid...It's another issue I am thinking of.  One step at a time, there's no need to rush, it's like learning to fly or falling in love... I am patient.

Another thing is soldering for the electricity.
In between 2016 and 2017, I learned soldering with my father-in-law. Everytime he came to our place or when we went to Paris, we did some soldering workshop together. How to calculate the resistance, the way to plan for the arrangemenet of LED lights, for example in in parallel or in series, related to the input/ output that we need. I am delightful when seeing the lights work! In the project, I installed 5 micro LED lights.

I am going to decorate the pastry cart and make interial furniture.
To be continued...

Gorgeous! Ladurée Religieuses come to my home

I was so delightful when opening the parcel of Alison of Bliss Miniatures. This is the BEST miniature religeuses that I have ever seen. Look at these details that Alison has made… I adore them.

When I noticed Alison’s Etsy shop last year, I have made up my mind to own some of her works. In July, when she launched her web, I saw the little religeuses waving the hands (yes) and they beckoned my spirit. This is what I could not resist. They are that realistic and darling. I must make a beautiful home for them.

The mini sofa and chair were purchased from eBay UK. They were second hand ones, so the price was not expensive. The most difficult part was removing the paper patterns. I did the job in mid-July, as you can imagine how much sweat has mixed with Tacky Glue.

I am so pleased to have Alison’s religieuses, the rose and the cupcake come to my home. I do hope someday I am capable to make some pastries as beautiful as hers!! (Thank you Alison for such wonderful creation!)

Some treasures from the SIMP

I arrived 30 minutes before the show started. I was the 30th visitor. When the door opened, I walked directly to Elisabath's stand and I am also her first customers. She is affable and friendly! It took time to choose her minis because everything is that beautiful.

Didier WETZEL's workshops also interest me. He gives not only workshop of furniture but also wood turnings.

The most impressive thing for me is discover "Le Molecole" in the show. Rosanna has sent me her web last year; it was thrilling to see her and her works in the show. I think I spent more than 30 minutes in total in front of her stand. I was struggling!!! LOL

I was happy because I brought several lovely pieces from the SIMP. This is the second time I attend the show; I was pleased to meet Rosanna and Geneviève in person.  I was very satisfied with my purchase too. :D

Mini Tin Cans and French Market Bag

I have been thinking to make some metal things for a long time. These mini tin cans are not exact metalwork but I am glad for the first step and expect to do some soldering in the coming weeks.

Inspired by Marie (Le Petit Monde de Merveilleux de Marie), I tried weaving a French string bag this week.

It’s not finished yet because I don’t figure out the way of closing. LOL  I have ever made some tatting lace in 2009 but it is as painful as the bag weaving for me.  It kills not only time but also my life.  :o)

It’s a cheerful Friday today cause our two furniture have just arrived this morning. I will decorate one of them with my dolls and miniatures after the hubby comes back from the business trip next week.
Hope you like this post and have a great weekend, :-)

My fauteuil, Hydrangeas and gifts

In Juin, I attended a workshop of SIMP for understanding more wooden works.
My instructor, Michelle of Petits Bonheurs Miniature, is a very kind and patient teacher and she explains her ways making mini furniture step by step.

In the past I did not know it took so much time for sanding and repainting these wooden pieces before assembling. She recommends us some material and medium to run.

In our group, 99% people chose white as their furniture color. I brought only one tube of green acrylic paint there and when I doubted if I made the same decision as everybody, Michelle took her magic box and showed me this floral pattern cloth. It went well with my green color! I think I’m the only one who used odd color for mini furniture but the result seems great. :) A huge thank-you to Michelle!

For these Hydeangeas, they are made of cold porcelain. I don’t know if I will continue making flowers and sell some in the future cause I felt helpless when making the petals. It took really long time and difficult to control. But at least, I have experienced flower-making since it’s been an item on my wish list for a long time.

Another interesting thing is my purchases---two butterflies from Julia of GodsFlyingFlower and two mini books from Danielle of marottesud

When I received these small items, I could not believe my eyes. They are absolutely pretty, tiny and amazing. I am satisfied with my choices.

Last Sat. I went to MyFrenchCuisine’s place for BBQ. Her garden is southern France style or I might say it’s more Mediterranean taste. Her husband installed a huge pot beside the swimming pool, that maks it very Greece. Of course we have spent a very good time on the table and in the pool. I hope some day my garden will as pertty as theirs.

The latest thing which makes me very happy is I received a SWAP gift from Eve of AfterDark. Her work is unexceptionable! I was dazed when looking at these peaches she sent me. Thank you too, Eve!! Happy Blog Anniversary! :P

Hope this post is not too long.
Have a HAPPY weekend!
