Tilda with Wrapped heart

Good Afternnon.

Hope you are all well and hopefully getting in some crafty time.
I had a reminder yesterday about Google Reader finishing and would love it if those who haven't joined me already would do so. I would hate to lose contact with any of my crafty friends.

About 6 months ago I bought the full set of Tim Holtz markers and have not had any success with them. I didn't know whether it was the paper I was using, the brushes or just me. Well I have been determined to get to grips with them and have been watching video tutorials and bloggers tips and I new I just had to  practice, practice, practice. Well I took the bull by the horns yesterday and the results of my colouring are below.
I know my colouring can still be improved upon but I feel so chuffed that I have had some success with them

I have used Tilda with Wrapped Heart. The die she has been stamped onto is the Spellbinders Opulent Opels. The papers are Pion Fairytale of Spring.

The butterfly on the bottom right is a punch all over the page punch and the heart dies are by Memory Box
The border die is Tim Holtz Butterflight.  The tag underneath the hearts are from the LOTV

The large flower which has been Frantaged (actually I think just about everything has been Frantaged)!!! is the result of some followers candy. The ribbon and heart pin are from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop (which is unfortunately closing). The white cluster flowers are from Live and Love Crafts and the pink and cream flower and tulip bud are from WOC. The sentiment is from LOTV.

Lil Ballerina

Good morning friends.
Hope you are all well and enjoying your day. I like Saturdays to go really slow as I have to work all day on a Sunday. So far today is flying by. I will be visiting dad this afternoon who is hopefully, fingers crossed, beginning to improve. I am trying to persuade Russ to come to the cinema with me to see Les Mis for the third time before it finishes. So far, he is not being persuaded. Boo Hoo. He always says why spoil a good story with singing. Guess when is comes to singing - we are not on the same wave length.

I am sharing with you a card I made earlier in the week using Mo's Digital Pencil image called Lil Ballerina. I have had this digi a while and have been looking forward to using her. I am really pleased with the result - she is so sweet.   Sorry but I have shared quite a few pictures this time.

I have used Copic Markers to colour the  dress and Flexi Markers to colour the hair. The gorgeous papers are from Raspberry Road and are called Fight Like a Girl.  These papers are beautiful and perfect for this image with the music notes and Puccini papers.

The flowers are from WOC

My favourite dies at the moment are these hearts from Memory Box called Precious Hearts

The border butterfly is an On The Edge die called Butterflight by Tim Holtz. The ribbon is from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop

Tilda with Wrapped Heart

Hi Blogger Friends.
Thank you so much for the get well messages for my dad. He has been suffering from Pancreatitus and has been extremely poorly. He is still in the high observation ward and has a long way to go but hopefully he is out of danger. I have never seen him look so frightened.  I have not been able to face going to work and have found it difficult to eat and sleep, I needed to be at home so that I could get across to the hospital as soon as possible if needed. Luckily I live across the road from the hospital.

We have had some more sad news this week. Our daughter Kayleigh has unfortunately lost her baby. She was 12 weeks but the baby had stopped growing at 8 weeks. Russ set off this morning at 6am so that he could be with her as she had to go through the necessary procedure to make sure the baby had come away and it is now 9pm and he is still at the hospital with her. Bless her.  So all in all it has been one hell of a shitty week.

I have tried to keep up with my comment commitments for my DT blogs but have not felt in the mood for any crafting. This is a card I made earlier for a friends daughter.

The card blank is from Craftwork Cards and the papers are from Nitwit Collections. The image has been coloured with Copic Markers.

The butterfly  die on the side of the card is called Butterflight by Tim Holtz. Love this die.

The ribbon is Silk Crush from The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop. The feather is from my own stash as is the button on the ribbon. The sentiment is computer generated.

I am now going to do some commenting on your wonderful blogs whilst I wait for Russ to get home. I think he will need a big hug.

Patchwork Daisy

Good afternoon friends.
Hope you have all had a good weekend. I booked today off work because I knew that I had to make cards for my DT's and friends but you know what they say "best laid plans"!!!  We went to out daughters Saturday evening and left this morning in good time but we called in at a shopping centre. We then went to Russ's mums and ended up going out for lunch with her and Russ's niece and great niece. So I have actually in two days made a whopping 1 card!!! I really hope my mojo stays for tomorrow.

I have made this card for my parent's to give to their friends for their Diamond Wedding. Mum didn't want anything mushy so I got out one of my favourite stamps.

Card blank is by Craftwork Cards and the papers are In the Meadow too by Nitwit Collections
Got withdrawal symptoms for my Memory box butterfly die so here it is again.

The flowers are all from WOC

The butterfly die on the right of the card is Butterflight by Tim Holtz which I purchased from a local store. This is another of my favourite dies.

The image has been coloured in with Copic Markers and the shadow around the image is a Polychromo pencil. The gems are from my own stash.

I am entering this card into the following challenges.

http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.ca/ - (237)  ribbons
http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.ca/ - cute and cuddly

It's my Party

Hi friends.
As I mentioned last week I was at the funeral of my friends mum only to be told when I got home that another friend sadly lost her mum. Well that funeral was today. It was such a beautiful service and  I don't know how anyone can keep composed enough to give a eulogy but she did and how proud I am of her. It was in difficult circumstances but it was so lovely to get together with three close friends. We have been together through marriages, divorces, births and I guess the rites of passage inevitably sees us together at funerals.

As I do when I am feeling emotional - I make a card. It is LOTV's It's my party. So love this image.

I used this image when it was my step daughters birthday last year because this is so Kayleigh.
It never took very much to get in a strop. Thankfully it didn't take much to get her out of one either.

Will somebody slap me and tell me "you have more crafty bits in your stash - you don't always have to use that butterfly"!!! Would be difficult though cos I love it.

Just for a change I am going to list items used at the end of the post.

Craftwork cards - card blank
LOTV - It's my Party
Coloured with - Copic Markers, Pro Markers and Flexi markers
Nitwit collections - backing papers
Memory box - Butterfly on ribbon - available from many on line stores
Tim Holtz - Butterflight border - bought at local craft shop
WOC - Flowers
The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop - Princess metal embellishment.
Thank you for stopping by. I am now going to view your wonderful blogs and make a comment or two. See you soon.

Patchwork Daisy

Good afternoon blogger friends.
I didn't think I would be back today but I was just having 5 mins whilst wandering around the web when I clicked on Lili's Little Fairies Challenge blog. They have extended the current challenge whilst they search for some more DT members. Well, there's I thought, I thought (does that make sense). And the next minute I am in my craft room putting together a card to fit this challenge. (Has to include black). Well I tell you, a miracle happened this afternoon. Normally a card would take me between 2 and 4 hours depending on the mojo.  But I kid you not I have completed the card and will have published it in approx 2hrs. I have to say I am pretty pleased with the results

So here goes.

Patchwork Daisy

Tilda Ballerina

Evening friends.
Well it looks like the start of a new week is the start of a much cooler week. Best get the grass cut before the rain starts again. That's enough boring stuff how has the craft world been for you. I have managed to get two cards done today. The one I am now posting and a DT card for  Diva's by Design which will go out on Wednesday. I think I have been in a definite pink and yellow phase today as I have used these colours for both cards. They have also both got the Tim Holtz Butterflight die which I bought last week. I absolutely love this die but have not bought it before as I was told that it will not go through the Wizard or the Grand Calibur. Well...I decided to buy it and had a word with Linda who runs a craft class in town and she kindly let me cut a few out on her Culttlebug. And when I got home I found out it does actually work in my wizard with the pink plate. Yipee.

For today's card I have used the gorgeous Tilda Ballerina
