My mum
My beautiful mum left us on Monday. She left behind 3 daughters, 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was loved by all who came into contact with her as she was the kindest, most caring person I know.
At 96yrs old her body had just had enough and she slipped away peacefully with her daughters by her side. The world feels very empty without her.

life at the moment
Life has been a mixture of happiness and sadness over the last few months. We have a new little granddaughter who has brought great joy to the family for many reasons. I'm so pleased my son was able to take her to see her Great Nan, at 96yrs old by far the oldest member of the family meeting the youngest. We have lots of photos and videos of the two together which is lovely.
Mum's health has gone downhill since then and I don't think we will have her much longer. She's had a long life with a big family who all love her very much. I know I've been very fortunate to have her this long but it's very hard. Love you mum x

It's a start!
I've had a lovely few days away visiting my son and plenty of opportunity to start my summertime photography challenge.
10. Something Made of Stone - the stepping stones
1. An Outdoor Clock
12. Something Crooked
6. An Umbrella, open or closed
2. Single & Pretty - it's been a life long ambition of ours to see a kingfisher so although it's not a good shot as we were not allowed to open the hide window in case we disturbed the nesting birds, this shot has to be included.
This is a great challenge to take part in as it makes you more aware of your surroundings. Thank you Patio Postcards for sorting it all out. There's still lots of time to take part so do go over to the blog and have a look.
7. A Curving Path
3. Repetition

Project Life
I've been determined to get back into digital scrapping this year and also try project life. With just the right class over on Jessica Sprague's site I really had no excuse!
the first page was quite easy as it was just an introduction
My first week was a quiet one and this is reflected in my photos
There is a lot to learn but I'm pleased I've got to grips with making the date embellishments. I am trying to keep it simple so I will not find it too hard to keep up.

my December
a day out at the zoo
a good laugh watching Whose Line is it Anyway? at the Royal Albert Hall
a few simple cards made
knitting slowly on some socks
and carefully choosing a new project.
There has been family time, good food and plenty of games played but not many photos taken. This year I must get my camera out more,
