A quick layout done this morning for the SLYMI week 13 challenge to use stamps. I used my latest Sarah's Cards kit.
Ian and I have been busy in the garden this morning digging and weeding ready to plant beans, peas etc. It's such a lovely day here today it's a shame to be inside.

We all went out for a walk on the beach yesterday and to try out Jamie's new game!
Becca soon got the hang of it!

Jenny was a great hit!

Alex showed of some fancy moves!

Jamie amazed us with his skill doing tricks I couldn't catch on camera and making us all stay well back incase they went wrong!

Nearly done!

Tomorrow is the 25th and that means Scrap Your Day! I can't believe it is the final one although I still have last months to scrap. I've really enjoyed this project by Shimelle for UKS and might even do another one this year.
It has been sunny but very windy here today and Ian and I have been for a long walk in my bid to get fit. We popped into Jenny's to give the chickens some cauliflower we had left over. She had been busy scrapping and as always hers looks so much better than mine!
Ian's cooking tonight and yes, it's curry again!

Nice weekend

Have had a nice weekend with Peter here and Jenny and co coming round. I've also had a couple of long phonecalls from David and a Mother's Day card from him that made me laugh. He sent me some money to buy stash, Jenny got me a sizzixs alphabet and Andrew and Peter bought me seasons one and two of Moonlighting an old favourite of mine.

Today we got up early as Peter has an early train to catch and then went for a walk by the sea before coming back and doing the housework and some gardening. It looks like it is going to pour now so I can come on the computer without feeling guilty!
I did this layout for the week 12 SLYMI challenge to use a sketch. I used very bright pinkpaislee papers from last months sarah's cards kit.

Now I'm going to play a game on my computer!

My layout for the SLYMI week 11 challenge, to use fabric. I downloaded the template from the crafty template website, they are setting this weeks challenge and had a lovely layout on there which I scraplifted, by Leo.
Have also been busy making a birthday card and Mother's Day card while Ian cooked the dinner, curry of course!
It's lovely here today and so I've also been out in the garden seeing what is starting to bud and checking on my plants in the greenhouse. A blackbird is making a nest just outside the kitchen door and I keep stopping to watch her collect all the twigs etc. I'm hoping our robins might do the same.
Jamie is coming around today to watch spurs again on the tv, I made some cakes yesterday ready for the royal visit!

Too competitive!!

Not a very good photo but this is my latest layout for the SLYMI challenge to scrap a funny face, well I've managed to scrap three!!
Played bowls this morning and think I got a bit too competive, Ian said I was giving him cross looks because he wasn't playing well ! It just doesn't feel right being better than him at something, she says with a modest smile!!

Have had a really nice day today. I got up early and did a 30mins workout and then Ian and I went for a long walk by the sea. Came home and played Lord of the rings with Peter and then made a low fat prawn pilau for lunch.
This afternoon I started a book of me with this photo of Ian and I when we first starting going out. I hope to do some younger ones of me too but fancied doing this one first.
At the moment I am listening to my Cat Stevens cd and contemplating reading my latest book, A Special Relationship by Douglas Kennedy. Have the ice dancing to look forward to tonight and the next episode of Damages, it's not a bad life!!

Splash!

Just completed this layout for week nine of the scrap like you mean it challenge, this time we had to use a punch. The papers are from my latest Sarah's Cards kit, very bright pink paislee sweet cakes collection. I had to send off for some photos Jenny had taken as they had just the right colours to go with the papers!!
I popped into Jenny's this morning and she had done a gorgeous layout of Becca's birthday and has nearly finished a mini book too, why do her's look so much better than mine?

Must do better!!

It's been a week since I did my blog so thought I had better do an update. Ian and I have had a busy week. We played bowls twice and went out for a meal with friends and then back to their house for a game of cards.
Have put on some of my scrap your day photos to remind me. A picture of our bowls place, some pancakes I made, Ian busy making a curry and, most importantly, my new scales!! These are so good, not only do they tell me my weight, down to the 1/4lb, but they also record my BMI, water, fat and muscle, any guesses as to which is the biggest!

We had a nice weekend with Peter and managed a walk each day as the weather was so nice.
Jamie came round to watch Spurs lose on penalties, I had to hide behind a cushion!!

I'm enjoying the ice dancing and my favourite is Donal, he seems to improve each week.
We are watching the new series of Damages and 24 although I fell asleep during 24 last night. We have also started watching Smallville which we are both enjoying.

I finished Deadly Intent by Lynda La Plante and I am now reading another James Patterson book.
Hopefully I will do some scrapping tomorrow!
