Boxing Day Craftiness!

Hey everyone! I hope you all enjoyed an amazing day yesterday with family and friends and lots of food!! Isn't that what Christmas is all about???  We had a fabulous Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and now I'm looking forward to a few days of doing NOTHING!  That's right...NOTHING.  Well, maybe some crafting or quilting but NO WORK! :)

Today I've got my very last card as a member of the TAWS DT...*sniff sniff*  I sure will miss these awesome ladies and the creativity they have.  I love and appreciate everything Alison does for all of us and am so sad to be leaving but sometimes life has to take a priority over crafting. (*I know...you're asking yourself what I could be possibly thinking???? ;)*)

I didn't have time to get my card done for Tuesday's Colour Q so decided to use it for this card and the sketch is last week's CAS(E) this Sketch:

The little dudes are from this month's free-with-$40-purchase set, Meltdown, over at TAWS - aren't they cute?  The sentiment from Learning Curve works perfectly with them!

EEK!!!!! I am so far behind I think I might be ahead???  This week has been so freakin' crazy - I can't wait until Christmas is over.  I've got the final BE Inspired Challenge of 2013 to share with you today...take a peek:

Pretty appropriate for this time of year, wouldn't you say?  :)  SO, I went with the Christmas theme and the colors and tree ornaments and made this fun card using the Deconstructed Sketch and a sentiment from Jolly Holiday:

Hey all!!! Six more sleeps until the big day - are you ready?  Admittedly, I am NOT ready yet but I will be by December 24...PROMISE!  :)  So today I've got a card to share with you that took me 10 minutes - TOPS.  Some scraps of Christmas paper, an embossing folder, some twine and a button and DONE.  The sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches:

Wise Men... {CTD272} & {DS130}

Welcome back!  I hope the weather where you are is MUCH better than what we're experiencing here - snow, snow and more SNOW!  Mother Nature must really have her knickers in a knot.  But fear not ... this all means I must stay inside and cozy up in my craft room, right? 

I have a quick card to share with you today that combines this week's Color Throwdown combo with The Deconstructed Sketch - the result is a soft, subtle Christmas card that uses the TAWS set, Seek Him:

Ho...Ho...Ho... {CQC219} & {STS10}

It's another chilly day in central Alberta - can you believe in a meager two weeks Christmas will be OVER? OY!  I bet most of you are all done your shopping...I would guess I am about half done.  Hopefully I can get the rest done this weekend.

I've got a quick little card to share with you this morning - since I still had the Colour Q papers sitting out on my desk, I used the scraps to make a card using the TAWS set, Tag-Alongs and the new sketch from Seize the Sketch:

BE Inspired #43 - {Chill Out}

Thanks for stopping back this morning - I've got a BE Inspired Challenge to share with you all. Considering Christmas isn't too far away, it seems only fitting that Alison would pick a wintery-themed photo:

In a HUGE departure from the norm, I decided NOT to go with the colors in the photo, but with the snowflake inspiration instead.  I KNOW...am I sick??? LOL  I promise you, I am totally fine.  But, truth be told, I wanted to play along with the color combo over at the CAS- Colors and Sketches blog and this is what they gave us:

Pretty nice Christmas-y colors, don't you think?  So I grabbed the snowflakes from Chill Out and used this week's sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch to create this fast and fun card:

I hope you are all staying warm wherever you are - it's still awfully chilly here...makes me wish I was retired and could go south for the winter!!  If you are stuck inside, you should go into your craft area and play along with us - we love to see what you create.

BRRRRRRRR! It has been bone-chillingly cold here in central Alberta the last few days.  And before that, Mother Nature dumped MORE snow on us.  I've had just about enough of this darn winter and it's not even officially here yet!  I'm in trouble...

Today I've got a card that uses this week's Color Throwdown and the sketch from Mojo Monday.  It's been quite awhile since I've played along with Mojo Monday so it was nice to get back.

Love Life {Colour Q #218 & Retrosketches #92}

Oh my goodness...can you believe it is DECEMBER already? I haven't even STARTED my Christmas shopping and, quite honestly, am not totally sure when I'm going to be able to get that under control.  This working thing really puts a hitch in my "road trip" shopping trips.  ;)  I know it will get done but every year I tell myself I will start earlier and, somehoe, it never happens.  Can anyone relate? 

Well, it's Tuesday and that means it's time for a brand new Colour Q challenge.  This week's inspiration photo is a cool fabric banner from Hello Lovely - what a great idea to used up some scraps of fabric you might have lying around:

For my card, I used one of the new releases from The Alley Way Stamps, True Colors.  This set has some great "artist" splatters and brushstrokes - really versatile for so many things.  Part of the sentiment is from All About You.  The sketch is from Retrosketches:
