I've got a bit of a two-'fer because today is also the day for a brand new 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge.  Since this is the fifth Thursday this month, it's our *extra* Crazy Egg challenge and this week we want you to keep in mind the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  What does that mean for you?  Find something around the house that might have otherwise ended up in the garbage or steal an element from an old card...be creative.

For my card, I used some buttons from an old pair of shorts I found in the back of my closet - I really do need to go through and weed out clothes I don't wear or don't fit anymore.  The stamps are from the awesome new set, Good Point and I used this week's RetroSketches sketch again - I just love those rounded corner panels:

The Alley Way Stamps Sneak Peek Day ONE!!! {Bot Time}

Hey everyone!  Are you ready for yet ANOTHER fabulous release from The Alley Way Stamps?  Today is Day One of the sneak peeks and Alison has created an awesome set that is PERFECT for those little boy cards - three robots, a robo-cat, some cogs, a sentiment or two and an awesome background/border stamp - it's Bot Time!!!

I saw that the other girls all made cards using the amazing robot images so I thought I'd try to show you something a bit different:

Isn't that background/border stamp retro-robot awesome?  I just love it!  The sketch I used is this week's RetroSketches and I LOVED how the cogs worked perfectly for the two circles on the left side...

BE Inspired 29 & Seize the Birthday

TGIF!!! Are you as glad as I am that it's Friday? This week seemed to zip by thanks to having a holiday on Monday.  Can you believe we are at the end of MAY already?  Almost time for the kids to be done school and summer holidays to start - can't wait.

So, it's time for the next installment of the TAWS BE Inspired challenge.  This week's photo is a fun one - reminds me of a birthday party!  As usual, I also went with the colors in the photo and created a fun birthday card using images from Wish BIG:

The sketch is loosely based on the Seize the Birthday sketch - I took a few liberties to make it my own and fit the image I wanted to use:

4CCC-143 {Critters} and Fusion #7

Welcome back, friends! Thanks for taking a few minutes to stop by and see what I've got for you today.  This week's hostess-with-the-mostest over at the 4 Crafty Chicks is none other than my amazing friend, Lori, who did an AMAZING job at her first 10K of the year this past Sunday...she bested last year's time by more than 6 minutes!!!!  So proud of her!  Anyhow - she's giving us a fun challenge this week - she wants to see some "critters."  You know... bugs, birds, dogs, cats and the list goes on and on.  It's up to you how you incorporate the theme in your creation.

For my card, I wanted to go CAS again (there are just not enough hours in a day anymore...) and found a fabulous sketch over at the Fusion Card Challenge.  The last time I played along, I only used the inspiration photo and this time I only used the sketch!  Maybe next time I will go with the FUSION...?  No specific color scheme, I just love this Authentique paper pad, "Carefree."

The sentiments are from two different TAWS sets: Wings of HOPE and Words to live by.  I love how versatile the TAWS sets are...mixing and matching is awesome!

{One of a Kind} RS64 & DD53

Hey everyone!! How was your LONG weekend? Mine was fabulous...my mom and dad came up for a quick visit and my aunt who is visiting from Nova Scotia also popped by for lunch on Sunday.  It was a lovely weekend with beautiful weather and I finished it off with a couple hours in my craft room playing with some new goodies.

Today's quick card uses three TAWS sets - one of the birds from Bird Brain, a sentiment from Deep in the Woods and the arrow from KA-POW!  The sketch is from RetroSketches and the color combo is this week's Dynamic Duos:

Is it Thursday already???? WOW. Did that week zip by or what?  Before we know it, it will be the end of June and school will be done... but first we have this LONG WEEKEND to get through!  Anyone have any big plans?  My parents are coming up for a quick visit and I will probably be spending some time out in the yard/on the deck... let's hope the weather cooperates!

This week's challenge at the 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge is being hosted by Miss Tamie and she wants to see some birthday cards!!!  Well, you could make anything relating to a birthday theme so have fun with it.

I *did* make a card and used the image from one of the new TAWS sets, Bird Brain, along with this month's freebie sentiment on my card.  The color combo from Colour Q and sketch from RetroSketches worked perfectly together:

Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing moms out there!!!  I hope each and every one of you are being treated like queens today - not that you shouldn't be treated like that EVERY day, but today is especially important.  :)  I'm not sure what my family has planned for the day - I would love to just sit in the sun and read all day so we'll see if that happens.

Today we've got a brand new Sweet Sunday Sketch for you and I really love this one (I know.  I say that EVERY week....)  Karen has created a fun CAS sketch but you could certainly make it *floofy* if you wanted to:

I got back to my old tricks with this one - the image I wanted to use wasn't really big enough to fill the circular panel in the center so I switched it up a bit... made a square card and used the sketch as the panel on it.  Take a peek:

The color combo is from a fabulous new challenge I found, Fusion Card Challenge.  Each week they give you a sketch and an inspiration photo and you decide if you are going to use the sketch, the inspiration photo or BOTH together when you make your card.  Totally fun, right?  Here's this week's challenge graphic:

As you can tell, I decided to go with the inspiration photo for my card - especially since I already had an amazing sketch to work with. ;)

BE Inspired #28 & The Deconstructed Sketch #100

Happy Friday, y'all!  Who's ready for the weekend & Mother's Day???  I know I sure am.  The weather has been delightful here and I am looking forward to it continuing. :)  Today I've got a quick card for the brand new BE Inspired challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps...we're up to 28 already!   This go-round, Alison has given us a lovely, soft photo for inspiration:

Isn't it pretty?  As usual, I went with the colors for my card and combined them with an AMAZING sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch - they're celebrating 100 sketches and would love to have you play along!  I love all the banner flags in this sketch:

I used a sentiment from the TAWS set Words to Live By - one of my recommended must-haves. :)
