TAWS Blog Hop & 4CCC-127 {Crazy Egg}

Welcome back, crafty peeps!  If you are blog-hopping with TAWS...WELCOME!!!  What a busy week this has been - a brand new TAWS release, finals at school for the kids and it's already the end of January!!!  Today is the fifth Thursday in January and over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' it's our Crazy Egg challenge and we've got a recipe this week: 1 pattern paper, 2 colors and 3 buttons. 

I kind of took liberties with the "color" part of the recipe...yes, there are 3 shades of pink but they're all pink, right?  This week's Colour Q was perfect and the sketch from RetroSketches was so much fun:

TAWS Sneak Peek {Day Two}

Hello everyone! Are you ready for another FANTASTIC release from The Alley Way Stamps?  Well, today is Day Two and we're sneak-peeking an AMAZING sentiment set called "All About YOU."  I LOVE this set - you know me and sentiments...a match made in heaven!

For my card, I used the lovely inspiration photo from Marisa and the gals at the Just Us Girls Challenge for the colors and the sketch is from CAS(E) This Sketch:

Don't you just {heart} this font?  All of the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions...definitely a MUST HAVE set. :)

4CCC-126 {Buttons} & {CQC173} & {CTS11}

It's Thursday and you know what that means -- it's time for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge and this week Lori is our hostess with the mostest.  She has given us an easy-peasy supply challenge - BUTTONS!

I've got a WHACK-LOAD (that's a lot...:) so this challenge was pretty simple for me.  I found a CAS sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch and combined it with this week's Colour Q combo...et voila!!!

The sentiment is from one of The Alley Way Stamps' new sets, Lighter Than Air.  See?  A simple challenge which means you should all be able to play along!  We can't wait to see what you create and if you need more inspiration, please stop by the 4 Crafty Chicks' blog to see what the other girls came up with.  Toodles - enjoy the rest of your week!

 

Fun With TAWS, JUGS and RetroSketches!

Hey crafty peeps! I've got a quick, CAS card to share with you all today.  I just love this new release from The Alley Way Stamps and this sentiment is from one of the new sets, "The Gang."   I used the color combo from the Just Us Girls challenge and the sketch is from RetroSketches - LOVE them both!  A few die cuts, a button with twine, and some simple zig-zag stitching, and this card was done in less than half an hour. :)

Have two weeks passed already? Is it really time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge?  OY VEY!  I'm not sure where the first twenty days of this month have gone but I do know they went too quickly.  I have been super busy with DT stuff and trying to get back into the swing of *school* again.  And when I say school, I don't mean for my kids.  Until the end of April, I will be taking a Human Anatomy course via distance learning.  Yes, I feel old and extremely out of the loop but the content so far has been very interesting.

OK, so you're here for the sketch - not to hear my crazy-talk.  ;)  The sketch for the next two weeks has been designed by our very own, Vicki - {love} the three horizontal panels and the big banner down the middle:

It's been a LONG time since I have played along with the Colour Q girls and actually be ON TIME to submit - this week's combo is a fun one inspired by my favorite genre of clothing...exercise wear!!!

I combined a bunch of patterned papers and used one of my favorite Verve dies to make this little non-traditional Valentine:

Be Inspired #20 at TAWS

Hello, everyone! I'm back again today with a fun challenge from The Alley Way Stamps.  Every other Friday we give you a brand new photo to inspire your creations.  It's time for Be Inspired #20 and here's the awesome graphic:

What do you see?  Do the colors jump out at you first?  Or does it remind you of a hot summer day?  Or maybe the layers...the possibilities are endless.  As usual, I went with the fantastic colors in this photo and combined it with a Just Us Girls sketch from a couple weeks ago:

Aren't these snowflakes awesome?  I just love 'em!  They're from the fun TAWS set "Holiday Sparkles." And you really can't have too many snowflake stamps, can you?

This card also is another one for this week's 4 Crafty Chicks' challenge to use pearls on your creation. :)   I hope you will play along with us over at TAWS... 4CCC-125 {Pearls}

Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge!  This week Tamie is our hostess with the mostest and she's got an easy supply challenge for you all to play with: use pearls somewhere on your creation.  Easy-peasy, right?

For my card, I used one of the new TAWS sets, "Sittin' Pretty" and paper-pieced the kitty cat and then used a couple of teeny-tiny pearls for his eyes:

The color scheme was inspired by a brand new challenge, Pinspired Challenges.  The photo had some great, bright colors so that's what I went with...you know me and colors. ;)  Mine aren't quite as "fluorescent" as the ones in the photo but you get the idea...

 And the sketch is one from RetroSketches from a couple of weeks ago:

Hey there, crafty people!  Welcome back for another 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge.  This week, I'm your hostess-with-the-mostest and I've got a fun color challenge for you all to play with.  This one is inspired by Echo Park's "Note to Self" collection:

 For my card, I used a couple of stamps from the brand new set, "Lighter Than Air," from The Alley Way Stamps.  The balloon was screaming out at me to be paper-pieced...so I did!  :)
