4CCC-83 {Crazy Egg!}
Hello crafty peeps! This week is the fifth Thursday this month and you know what that means? It's a CRAZY EGG challenge over at the 4 Crafty Chicks' Challenge! We've got a fun and simple challenge for you all this week..."Easter!" We think that theme leaves many possibilities for your creations...be inspired by the colors, bunnies, chicks, eggs... you decide! I decided to go with the colors usually associated with Easter and when I saw this color combo from CR84FN Color Challenge, I knew I had a winner:
I found this fun sketch over at The Deconstructed Sketch and loved all the layers:
Thanks for stopping by today - we've been enjoying Spring Break around here so my crafting time has been severely compromised... I'm totally OK with that! :) It's fun spending time with my boys and just *being*. Enjoy the last few days of March - April is right around the corner!!

4 Crafty Chicks' - Inspired by Music
Welcome back everyone! We've got a fun challenge for you over at the 4 Crafty Chicks - Lori is our hostess-with-the-mostest and she has given us the theme, "Inspired By Song." What does that mean? Well, you could use some music note paper or maybe your sentiment is lyrics to your favorite song... up to you to interpret how you wish. We would really love to know how music inspired your creation, so please make sure you share that with us. :)
For my card, I knew exactly what stamp set I wanted to use... "Up, Up and Away" from TCP. And there's a sentiment in their "Take Off" set that was THE PERFECT partner for this image. I also used the TCP Tuesday #201 Inspiration Challenge as a jumping-off point (the colors and the chevron pattern) and combined it with the iSpy Sketches sketch from last week:
Can you guess how I was inspired by music? Ahhh...Michael Bublé's "Come Fly With Me." Well, I *know* others sang the song before him but he does it the best (and he's so darned cute!) Take a peek here:
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will take a few minutes to join us for Lori's "Inspired by Music" challenge...I had fun with this one! Enjoy your week!

Happy Thursday, everyone! Have you been enjoying your week? Thanks to all of you who played along with my sketch challenge last week - the entries were amazing! This week, Tamie is our hostess-with-the-mostest and her challenge is a theme, "Chicks Rule!" She'd like you to make a card/project for a girl or about a girl...interpret how you may. :)
For my card, I wanted to combine a few different challenges. I started by finding last week's wonderful color combo over at the Color Throwdown:
I knew I wanted to make this card for TCP Tuesday #199 (better late than never, right?) which was a supply/stamp challenge - we had to use the Clouds Cut-Ups die as well as use any stamp(s) from The Cat's Pajamas that are "out getting a breath of fresh air" (aka, doing something outside). I decided to go with another one of my new ones, "Warm Fuzzies." She's wearing a scarf and has a bird on her head so she *must* be outside, right?
And, last but certainly not least, I used Jen's March Sketch For You To Try...another great one!
Isn't she cute? I made a *little* addition to the sketch for my sentiment - I had to cover an "OOPS! I originally stamped the sentiment right onto the houndstooth print but it did NOT show up so I had to cover it somehow and this was the best I could do. :)
Thanks for stopping by - make sure you stop by the other Chicks' blogs to see what they've been up to! See you next week!

TCP Tuesday Celebrates #200!!!
*If you are here for my 4 Crafty Chicks card, please scroll down*
Welcome back, everyone! I had SO MUCH FUN making today's project I just couldn't wait to share it with you. This week, TCP Tuesday is celebrating challenge #200 and, boy-o-boy, do they have a lot going on! To start with, Alma has compiled a Cat's Pajamas Sketch Book featuring virtually every sketch challenge in TCP history - Ummmm..hello!!! You can download it and save it and have it forever... and it's FREE!!
But that's not all! No siree! Comment on any of The Cat Packers' blog posts that feature the 200th TCP Tuesday Sketch Challenge by Tuesday, March 13 and you could WIN the complete NEW release! And that includes the dies, too! O-M-G!!! What could be better than that? And the Cat Packers always have such amazing cards - great inspiration. :)
As you all know, I really {love} TCP - like, REALLY a LOT. So, to celebrate with them, I wanted to make something that used ONLY TCP products (aside from the paper and ink). When I first saw the sketch, it screamed at me to use my Flower Buttons die for the squares. I don't use that one nearly enough but it is so perfect. I also knew I wanted to use felt for them and if I put that many felt flowers on a card, I'd never be able to fit it in any sort of envelope AND I'd have to mortgage my house to pay for postage. What to do?? I KNOW - make a shadow box! I popped into our local dollar store yesterday and picked up an inexpensive 5X7 shadow box frame - can't beat $4!
I let the ideas tumble around in my head overnight and got to work first thing this morning. After a small break mid-morning to go to the gym, I got home and finished it up. LOVE how it turned out!
First... without the shadow box:
A bit of a close-up of the felt flowers (Purple People Eater & Green With Envy felt) and sentiment (Circus Panels Cut-ups and "Ewe Complete Me"). You can also see the Apron Border Cut-ups die and the Big Scallop Border die. OH! And we couldn't forget about the TWINE!!! Yummy, yummy twine...
And here she is inside the shadow box - I wanted to take a pic without the glass but, unfortunately, this box didn't allow me to do that. (I guess you get what you pay for! LOL) So, please excuse the reflection - I did the best I could!
I really enjoyed making this little project this morning and hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. :) Thanks for stopping by today - and, really, ...make a point of visiting the Cat Packers. You won't be sorry! Later, Alligators! :)

SO - here is this week's TCP Tuesday #200 - a fabulous sketch from Leigh...

A Sketch! A Sketch!
It's Thursday again and you know what that means? A brand new 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge and this week I am your hostess-with-the-mostest. I have created a CAS sketch that can be interpreted MANY ways - don't feel like you *HAVE* to use hearts! As long as we can see the basic sketch in your card, you're good to go:
As you can see, I went with a square card and then used some felt and a button to make a little grouping where the hearts are in the sketch. Lori and I gave this card to our FABULOUS nail tech as she and her husband were moving away - it's only been a week but we already miss her tons! The dies I used to cut out the felt are from Verve. Actually, the sentiment die is from Verve too...and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up!
Thanks for stopping in today - this sketch is pretty simple and wouldn't take long to create something stunning with so I hope you will play with us this week. I still have trouble with the CAS look but am learning to love it more and more. Make sure you stop and see what the rest of the Chicks have created - their links are along the side. Have a great week!

Anything But a Card at the 4 Crafty Chicks!
Morning everyone and welcome back for another week of fun with the 4 Crafty Chicks! Our hostess-with-the-mostest this week, Leanne, and she wants to see your fabulous 3D projects.
For my project, I popped over to the TCP website and discovered instructions on how to make the cutest little Easter treat bag and HAD to make one! I also used last week's TCP Tuesday Color Challenge:
Sorry the photo kind of stinks...
Thanks for stopping by - we're looking forward to seeing what you all make that "isn't" a card. :) Remember ST. Patty's Day and Easter are coming up - should be easy to plan something around one of those occasions. :) See you next week!
