Sleeping Dogs Wake - Understanding (1989)

Sleeping Dogs Wake - Sugar Kisses (1993)

Sleeping Dogs Wake - Under the Stars (1995)

These are some of the albums released by SDW, a goth rock band formed in 1988 in the United States.
Originally, Sleeping Dogs Wake were Robert Wilcocks and Karin Sherret, although they were joined later by Jens Langkniv.
Wilcocks also collaborated in other similar groups such as Girls Under Glass, The Cassandra Complex or Cobalt 60.
Enjoy!

The Danse Society - Looking Through (1986)

The Danse Society - Seduction [The Society Collection] (2001)

Two items more from The Danse Society.
The group's final album, "Looking Through" (CD edition - 2007), and a collection of The Danse Society's early singles, recorded between 1981-1983, that goes by the same name of their debut LP, "Seduction".
Hope you like it!

Collection d'Arnell-Andréa - Un Automne à Loroy (1989)
Collection d'Arnell-Andréa - Au Val des Roses (1990)

Collection d'Arnell-Andréa - Les Marronniers (1992)

Collection d'arnell-Andréa - Cirses des Champs (1996)

Here are some of my favourite records by this dark wave band formed in Gier, France, around the mid 80's.

P.S. - I just love "Cirses des Champs"!

The style of this French combo could almost be categorised as a form of chamber music in which they add droning bass, drum machine and the ethereal vocals of Chloé St Liphard to violins and cellos. (Taken from For the Record)

Love Is Colder Than Death - Teignmouth (1991)

Love Is Colder Than Death - Mental Traveller (1992)

Love Is Colder Than Death - Inside the Bell (2004)

Here are the first two albums of LICTD, as well as a more recent one, recorded live in Leipzig in 2004.
This band was formed in Germany in 1990 and took its name from Rainer Fassbinder's classic movie "Liebe - ist kälter als der Tod".
The first LICTD material was released by Hyperium Records and their sound doesn't vary much from the one that was made by some of their label mates such as Stoa, Jack or Jive, Anchorage or Black Tape for a Blue Girl.
Enjoy!

Stories From the Moon - Stories From the Moon (2006)

Stories From the Moon is the name of a project by former Miranda Sex Garden guitarist Ben Golomstock. The album is full of haunting, gloomy, eerie melodies with former Miranda Sex Garden lead singer, Katharine Blake (currently of Mediaeval Baebes), giving a little help to her ex-bandmate.
Enjoy!

Rise and Fall of a Decade - Noisy But Empty (1992)

"Noisy But Empty" was Rise & Fall of a Decade's 2nd full length and it follows the path of its predecessor.
If you liked my previous post of this french pop group, don't miss this one!
