Mler ife Dada - Coisas que Fascinam (1987)

The portuguese avant-pop group Mler ife Dada was formed in 1984 by Nuno Rebelo (ex-Street Kids), Augusto França, Pedro d'Orey and Kim.
Pedro d'Orey was later replaced by the astonishing singer Anabela Duarte, wich did the vocals on all Mler ife Dada albums including the debut one, "Coisas que Fascinam".
Marvelous tunes from wich I would like to highlight "Sinto em Mim", "À Sombra Desta Pirâmide", "Valete (de Copas)", "Alfama" and, of course, "Zuvi Zeva Novi".
Hope you like it!

Mick Karn - Titles (1982)

Mick Karn - Dreams of Reason Produce Monsters (1987)

Bassist Mick Karn became quite well known for being a member of the neo romantic post-punk group Japan.
These are two excellent records with the collaboration of his Japan bandmates David Sylvian, Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri.

Karn's use of the fretless bass guitar, an unusual instrument in modern popular music, produces a distinctive sound and playing style, which makes his playing immediately recognizable. (Taken from Wikipedia)

Pop dell' Arte - Arriba! Avanti (1991)

Pop dell' Arte is a portuguese avant-pop group formed in the mid 80's by João Peste. "Arriba! Avanti" is one the band's "classics" and it has the participation of Nuno Rebelo (Street Kids, Mler ife Dada) and Rafael Toral.
Enjoy!
