Israeli Peace Activist Murdered in Jenin...by Palestinians

Peace in our time....ooops.
The Israeli-Arab actor Juliano Mer-Khamis was shot to death in Jenin, Palestinian police in the West Bank announced.

The actor was shot by a number of masked men who fired at him while he was sitting in his car near his theater, afterwards fleeing the scene, witnesses say. Mer-Khamis has resided in Jenin and Haifa alternately.

Civil Administration officials say his body has been transferred to the Abu-Kabir Forensic Institute.

The 52-year old Mer-Khamis, a pro-Palestinian political activist born to a Jewish mother and Arab father, has previously received death threats after establishing a theater at Jenin refugee camp. (YNET)

The Mossad Excuse

Last week, Eric Bellucci from Staten Island, who is accused of killing his parents in Staten Island, boarded an ELAL flight and and skipped off to Israel.

What made this story rather strange is that Bellucci isn't Jewish, has no ties to Israel, and yet he decided to flee to Israel of all places.

Personally, I'm surprised that he managed to get on the ELAL flight in Newark, and that ELAL security didn't detain him (I'll have to mention this to my friends in ELAL security)

Bellucci was extradited back to the U.S. from Israel this past Sunday morning.

To make things interesting, the NY Daily News reports the following:
About a month before the brutal double murder, Bellucci called an old friend from Stuyvesant High School and said he was working with Israeli intelligence.

"He seemed a little paranoid," the friend told the Daily News. "He told me that he was working with the Mossad."

The friend, who asked to remain anonymous, said his former football teammate was worried about terrorism and cited the attempted Times Square bombing.

Less than a week before the killing, Bellucci sent an email to an ex-girlfriend, offering her $500 for the name of each person who caused their breakup, a police source said.
The Mossad Excuse. There's a new one...

Hypocritical silence about Egyptian crimes against humanity

by Lurker

While human rights activists and bleeding hearts focus all their attention on the plight of the African migrants in Israel, nobody seems to give a flying leap about what the Egyptians are doing to them every day, just over the border. Arabs apparently have a free hand to commit brutal torture, mutilation, rape, and savage massacres with complete impunity:
They are hung from trees by metal chains attached to their arms and provided with plastic bags to collect their urine to drink when they are thirsty. They are gang raped, tortured with electricity and held prisoner in desert camps. When they escape they are shot, either by their Beduin captors or by Egyptian police. These savage and disturbing details, published piecemeal over the years, are just a part of the picture of what is being done in Egypt's Sinai desert to African migrants.
Read the rest here, if you can stomach it:

The long road of death, massacre in Sinai

Apparently this isn't worth anyone's attention, since there's no way to blame Jews for it.

And you won't hear the EU or the UN saying anything about this either, let alone issue any condemnations. They're too busy with much more important things, like investigating the Israeli raid on the terror flotilla, and demonizing Israel for the shortage of coriander in the Gaza Luxury Mall.

CSI Israel

A guest post by Lurker:
From today's Jerusalem Post:
A haredi man [was] found dead with one hand cuffed in an empty building in Beit Dagan last Friday...
...
...police say an autopsy revealed no signs of foul play.... "No evidence of criminal wrongdoing was found", [said a police spokeseman].

Once again now: The dead body was found handcuffed in an empty building. But according to the Israel Police, there is "no evidence of criminal wrongdoing".

Anyone besides me see something wrong with this picture?

Note: Given the subterranean editorial standards at the Jerusalem Post, I realize that the idiots here might possibly be the JPost staff, rather than (or in addition to) the police...

The Festival of Hate

A Grieving Israeli at the memorial site of Rabin's murder in Tel-Aviv

Today (tomorrow?) is supposed to be the memorial day for Yitzhak Rabin. Instead, it's the culmination of a month-long festival of hatred towards Israel's political right-wing and religious camps.

If Israel was really interested in building bridges in Israel's society, Rabin's legacy of hate should be acknowledged, instead of sweeping it under the rug and going on an offensive attack on the right wing. The mantra, "words kill" has become synonymous with "protecting democracy" -- and the demonization of the right wing continues daily.

I believe that Rabin was a terrible, cold hearted person who had no problem ordering the killing of Jews for political gain (the sinking of the Altalena) and his arrogance towards the personal security of Jews in Israel as Palestinian terror rose to an all time high during his "Oslo Peace Accords" -- was despicable.

What Israel fails to understand is that there's a huge gap between writing the above and supporting the killing of Jews by Jews (which I do not support.)
