Camera Critters

At this time of the year, we often have uninvited visitors in our backyard and one of them are those yellow crested cockatoos. They like to eat the fruits of our pecan tree which is growing in our backyard for more than 15 yrs.
The photos were taken one afternoon while I was in my garden when I noticed their noises.

Camera Critters

For my camera critters post I have here two photos to share  which were taken in my sister's garden. The first one is a skink.  He was a camera shy that won't give a chance to face my camera.
I am not sure if the bird in the second photo is a wattlebird. I just saw this bird on the gum tree in front of my sister's house.

Camera Critters

This butterfly is very common in our backyard. I saw this one on my citrus plant.
Butterflies are a breath of beauty fluttering by, they are mystery chronicled upon wing, they bring forth the grace and wonder of this world to our eyes everyday

Camera Critters

I saw this bird when I was taking a walk at Woodcroft Lake sometime last December 2012. I don't see this kind of bird  in our place, so it captured my attention.  But sorry I couldn't find its name after so many googling.

Camera Critters

The Willie Wagtail is the largest, and most well-known, of the Australian fantails. The plumage is black above with a white belly. The Willie Wagtail can be distinguished from other similar-sized black and white birds by its black throat and white eyebrows and whisker marks. The name wagtail stems from the constant sideways wagging of the tail. Young birds resemble the adults, but have paler, slightly rusty edges to the feathers of the wings.
