Monsterpalooza 2012 Photos - Part 2
For pure monster mask goodness, my personal favorite area of Monsterpalooza 2012 was the side room which contained the Witch's Dungeon display, the Renta collection, and the Underwood collection. I was able to get in a few shots on Friday before the show opened to the public.
Cortlandt Hull's Witch's Dungeon display was fabulous. It amazes me that these pieces made the trip from the east coast all the way across the country to Monsterpalooza...
To the right of the Witch's Dungeon display was the amazing Renta collection. The display featured one of the best collections of classic monster masks ever assembled for public viewing. The majority of the masks were Halloween Society releases with a few other classics in the mix...
Opposite of the Renta collection was the Underwood collection, which is a spectacular gathering of female character masks and busts. I wish I would have taken more pics of the display. Once the show started it was difficult to make my way back to get additional photos...
Stay tuned creeps for part 3 of the Monsterpalooza 2012 photo coverage tomorrow...

Witch's Dungeon Article
It's that time of the year (the best time of the year in my opinion) when yard displays and home haunts are in full effect. This article from December of '83 showcases the longest running home haunt of them all, Cortlund Hull's Witch's Dungeon. The Witch's Dungeon is celebrating it's 45th year this October of 2011!

Witch's Dungeon Wax Museum
Here's a wonderful 40 year retrospective article on Cortlandt Hull's Witch's Dungeon. In the early days of the Dungeon Don Post Studios monster masks could be found in the display. While Cortlandt's monsters are no longer masks, but rather wax figures, the monsters today have been inspired and influenced by some of the legends in the industry including Don Post Sr., Verne Langdon and John Chambers.
